"Downhill Skateboarding" - Ryan Farmer

- Take a skateboard, make it longer, add poly-urethane wheels and specialized trucks, add a helmet and gloves with pucks and what do you get? - A 60mph+ method of decending a mountain road as fast as you dare.
Ryan Farmer took up downhill three years ago after discovering the sport. The sensation it gives you, he says, is as close to that of flying without an airplane. An avid a nature enthusiast, Ryan spends his weekends waking up long before the crack of dawn to make the hike from Huntington Beach an hour to the San Gabriel Mountains
Getting there early is key. Due to a legal grey-area and the risks involved skating live roads, it's best to get in as many runs as possible before the road is too heavily trafficked.
We'll let Ryan explain the rest.

Best video about downhill skateboarding ever
People are so quick to judge. They tell me "you're going to hurt yourself" or "It's not you I'm worried about, it's cars". I just want to say in an extremely sarcastic manner: "No, really? There're cars on roads? Also, I consider myself impervious to all forms of injury and invincible even to death." Everyone who tells you not to longboard simply wasn't there. They don't understand that I've walked up the sketchy sections 30 times each, slightly higher each time. They don't know the hours I've put in learning my skills, tuning my setup, watching the apex, understanding traction. I guess their punishment is they never get to experience that surreal feeling about which Ryan talks.
Well said.
Preach
those are people that probably never have been faster than running speed without a engine, same happens for sports climbing , woooooot you gonna die ,youre suicidal
Matt Garelli the same people then turn around and give the keys to a Chevy suburban to a 15 year old girl named mackenzeigh.
Matt Garelli yes there is so much that goes in to it all. So many hours. So much falling. So much walking.
How has this only had 18,000 views.... such a great video. You sir certainly have a passion for skateboard...... well done!
I've finally found out why I enjoy this so so much, and it's as you said, "It's as close to flying as you can get".
Also gliding, bungee jumping, skydiving...

This is how it feels to climb mountains. No matter how difficult, risky, when we get done we say "Let's do it again!"
Staying in your lane, that's the smartest thing any downhill skater can ever do.
Whoever dislikes this video doesn't have a soul
Great video!

From the looks of 'em, I'm pretty sure they're Liquid Fyre CNC Precisions
