- “Chamber Magic” is unlike the large spectacles of Broadway. There are no billboards trumpeting the show, but every weekend it’s full. I attribute that to the show’s immersive nature - it’s 100 percent interactive. The goal is for people to leave saying, “It happened to me.”
I was inspired to launch “Chamber Magic,” because I loved practicing magic and couldn’t survive by performing at private parties alone. Instead, I created my own public showcase. I tailored the show to appeal to the rich and powerful, and soon found myself performing for them at their private islands, superyachts, and in places like Switzerland and Maui.
This film project came about when I met Nico Moreno, a young filmmaker, through our mutual friend, Sean Farkas. In the past I had filmed a lot of magic for a History Channel special. I found it tough to express the excitement of my live show on the small screen. Nico assured me he could capture the essence of my show by focusing on the people, and the gorgeous performing environment. I think he and Sean succeeded: look closely at the audience reactions - you can’t train actors to react like that! What you see in their faces is the joy of being genuinely baffled. They know that what they’re seeing can’t be happening, yet it is. What a beautiful paradox. - Фільми й анімація
Loved the scene with Steve gleefully tossing away cards from two decks with both hands at once. It captured not just the outcome of an unbelievable trick, but also the fun that Steve has with the audience. He has everyone in the palm of his hand from start to finish!
My wife and I had the pleasure of attending one of Mr. Cohen's performances last month. It was one of the most enjoyable nights out in memory. He is incredibly skilled in his craft, and highly engaged with his audience. The intimate nature of this performance, combined with an almost time-disorienting aesthetic provided by the room and dress code, made for a unique and sublime experience that will stay with us for years to come.
This show was simply AMAZING! The video doesn’t even do it justice. The jubilation of the audience is not fake, it’s real and amazing and that’s my favorite part throughout. I can’t wait to go see it again. That’s how great this show is. And, it’s nice to get dressed up for a night out!

I have been to NYC and have seen a number of Broadway shows, and nothing compares to a night with Steve Cohen's Chamber Magic. Whenever I hear of someone heading to NYC, I always tell them to go to THIS show and if they do, they will talk about this for a lifetime! Example: I have no idea how he advanced my watch the number of minutes I was thinking (and never said) without EVER touching my watch! Absolutely heart stopping! Steve: Keep the magic going forever!
Seeing the looks of disbelief, confusion, and skepticism on the faces of Steve's audience change as they gave themselves over to the magic, was the highlight of this video for me. I've seen Steve's show twice to date and remember how it felt to watch his genius make disciples out of all of us...we all left believing in magic!
I saw this show last year for my 50th Birthday with a group of my friends. Steve Cohen's magic and mentalist abilities are outstanding. It's something different to experience and I have recommended the show to many. I'm looking forward to seeing Steve Cohen's Chamber magic again. The Lotte Palace depicted in the video is a wonderful venue for this great night out !
I LOVE THE "UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL" EXPERIENCE EVERYONE HAS. THEY SEEM TO BE A VERY ACTIVE PART OF THE AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
What I love about this mini documentary is I’ve never been able to truly put into words what being a a part of your show is like to others who have not attended or simply say they don’t like magic shows. This allows me to take this video and share it with others to truly give a look into what I’ve felt in visiting several times through the years. It truly is an unbelievable experience and I’ve felt I have “transported in time, “an escape from Modern New York and a pre-digital world”. Our society is so wrapped up in social media and our cell phones that it’s refreshing to shut off for a few hours and experience what the world and true live entertainment used to feel like. Bravo!

Attending Chamber Magic live is an awesome experience and I especially like the scenes showing the engagement and enjoyment of the audience! Steve is a very polished performer, the venue is beautiful, and the entire show is incredibly fun. A year after having seen Chamber Magic I still find myself wondering how Steve accomplished some of his tricks.
This video demonstrates why for the past 18 years thousands and thousands of people from around the world have seen Chamber Magic! I am proud to say that I have come to the show 5 times and I am going back! Steve's talent and skill are simply perfect, his close up magic is laser sharp, and the entire non-stop 90 minute show will leave you very entertained and in awe! To give you an idea of Steve's mastery even David Copperfield has been witness to this amazing performer and talent! As Steve states, from the age of 6, he had a dream; it was to be a master magician and perform for others after his Uncle showed him his first magic trick. Chamber Magic is an incredible show. Not just a show - an experience that you will never forget. I had high expectations, and those were completely blown away as was my mind! Steve makes it seem so easy, so natural, and I believe every bit of it. He earns every penny!! My favorite part of the video has to be the shot of the “Total Coincidence” enchantment, which brought back memories of my show where I had the opportunity to witness this magnificent show just inches away from Steve - even holding his hand and shuffling the cards myself! Loved the excitement, appreciation and amazement on the faces of the audience. The experience transports you to a long ago era, and suddenly you are living in that time with Mr. Cohen.
My favorite scene is the “think a drink” scene with Steve pouring from the magic tea kettle. That trick truly blew my mind and I’ve spent years thinking about how it could possibly be done..... I still have NO IDEA! I’d love to return to see the show again- best magic show I’ve ever seen, hands down!

I saw Steve a few years ago with my family and had the best time. It is so fun getting dressed up for an event. Steve also personally involved myself, my sister, my mother and my father in his tricks. It was so great to be a part of and I hope I am able to see him again. I love the elegance of the show and Steve Cohen is an amazing magician. His magic teapot is my all time favorite thing! But the entire show is very intimate with lots of audience participation which you never see in other magic shows. This is my favorite show EVER!!!

I remember when Steve was performing at the Waldorf and I wanted so badly to go. I grew up enjoying the wonders of magic and Chamber Magic has this fantasy about it that brings out the kid in me. I got goosebumps watching this video, my favorite part of which was when he describes how the experience is transportive. I imagine it is, especially at that magical venue. Phenomenal video!
The word "unique" truly described the incredible experience we had seeing Steve's show in person! This video snippet recreates the excitement of the evening we had and makes me want to be amazed by Steve's special's talents and showmanship again!
We have had the pleasure of seeing Steven Cohen's show and enjoyed it so much that we have even given tickets to friendsas thank you gifts for this and that. They in turn have done the same. The show is truly MAGICAL. My favorite scene here is the teapot trick because it brought back memories of the time we were there. We would love to have this experience once again!

It’s a portal to a calm and comfortable pre-digital world.“ With many of us spending our entire days in front of screens, the ability to escape the digital world-even for one night-would be an amazing experience.
The things I enjoyed most were your commentary, like leaving “black and blue marks on your mind “, “nobody gets left out” and you’re “open to seeing something extraordinary because you’re in an extraordinary place “.
Saw this show several years ago and it was truly amazing. We've since given our kids tickets as gifts and they couldn't believe how awesome it was. Can't wait to see it again!

The intimate setting is unmatched by any magic show you have ever seen! You can’t have a “bad” seat as all are included in the show at some point. Will go back again and again as well as give for a gift! Incredible!!
I always enjoy seeing the audience reaction to Steve's magic. I was one of those amazed guest several years ago. My favorite tricks were the tea kettle and interlocking rings. Steve used my ring and I was awestruck!

This is a great event. I have gone to see Steve more than once. I have taken family and always recommend to friends to consider this unique experience. He is so much more than a magician. He is very warm and personable. The intimate setting creates the perfect atmosphere for his performance.
My favourite element is the joy, enthusiasm and love in Mr Cohen eyes. The magic extraordinary. This man is a marvel.

Awesome show! In addition to the mind-blowing magic, I like the fact that Steven Cohen performs at a fancy place for a small audience, and that there is a dress code. These add to the grandeur of the experience.
It's a great show and this film captures the images and themes of a time-honored premium experience. Kings and queens from another time would invite Steve into their castle to intrigue and entertain them.

We were lucky enough to see Steve's show in person many years ago before he relocated to this venue. Like most things, seeing a video does not do the performance justice. Being that close and having a small audience generates a wonderful vibe and makes the experience truly magical (couldn't help it). I had not seen the match trick which I really enjoyed. Hope to visit the show again.
A well done promo which embodies the elegance, mystery,fun and old world charm of the show. However, the surprise and awe of Steve's magic can only be fully understood in person. His is the most intimate and mind boggling I have seen to date.

I think the close-ups of Steve were my favorite part, especially when he is adjusting his bow tie, because it brings the personal touch of the show to the forefront; and that's one of the things that make it so unique. It is also one of the things that Steve Cohen is very good at.

Steve Cohen's Magic show is on the top of the "what should I d when in NYC" list; we are asked quite often. An excellent and unique experience, Steve is great at his craft and a wonderful showman!
This clip brought back wonderful memories of when I surprised my 15 year old son with a trip to see this show. We still talk about how incredible it was. My favorite scene of this particular video is the match scene. I love how Steve is not afraid to show his tricks close up and you still can't figure them out!
What a splendid promotional film! I loved the audience reactions to the magic, but the single "magic moment" for me was the change of the Queen to the Ace.

Having been fortunate enough to attend Steve's show a few weeks ago, it's a delight reliving it through this film. The evening was indeed a magic portal out of the everyday - watching the expressions in the audience conveys the absolute delight my friends and I felt in being tricked so thoroughly. (I still wish I'd been called upon for "Think-a-Drink"...Pappy Van Winkle, here I come!).

Great mini-doc, Steve! I think my favorite part is the very quick moment at 2:32 of the couple watching as you walk by and then the look they give one another. It is exactly the look that was on my face when my girlfriend and I were at your show. Complete discombobulation and a faint feeling like maybe this world really isn't what it seems, and maybe magic is real.
I love how the shot of the candles at 1:59 corresponds with your invitation into a "pre-digital" world. The match trick that follows is a visually stunning yet minute encapsulation of the wonder your show creates.

Great video! It really embodies the show itself. My head did explode last Saturday at the live show! Not sure if it was bruised but it did explode! As Mr. Cohen said, the room is straight out of Versailles or as I liked to say, right out of our very own Gilded Age. I thought I was sitting in a room at the Breakers in Newort, RI. The intimacy of the show is special. I felt transported to a simpler time, where people did dress up for a show and the entertainer was in our midst.
I’ve seen you perform twice and my favorite scene from this film is where you flip the two cards simultaneously from two decks of cards, revealing that you’ve matched them up. It reminds me of the wonder that I felt while attending your show! My favorite shot from an artistic standpoint is the one near the end, where you’re wearing a top hat near a building sconce/lamp; it was shot from below and it just looks really cool.

The video short nicely showcased Steve's talents and can only imagine an evening filled with even more amazement. The drawing room venue at the Lotte Palace adds to the mystique and allure for an evening filled with illusions and fun!
My son also at the age of 6 showed his love of magic, the same as Steve and this is what i liked about this video. My husband and I watched Steve a few years ago and I said to myself when my son turns 12, I would love to bring him to watch "Chamber Magic"He is turning 12 this may and it will be a dream come true!!
The best part is he involves the audience and creates an experience like no other. I love the fact that it's such a small setting which makes sure no one is left out, it can really create little doubt of his magic abilities and makes it that much more intriguing .

This video was spot on! The scene I enjoyed the most is the introduction after you introduce yourself, and when you reveal to the viewers the Sleight of Hand book you picked out from the library. To me, the cover revealed what could have potentially been the first magic trick when you were six (one of the thousands). (I'm sure that the ball and cups trick was a first for a lot of us!) Whether that was true or just a coincidence, the book has significance in itself; life. And I loved hearing that you always knew that "magic could be your life's work" after you showed us that. What I loved more than that was at 24 seconds you explain how your "calm and cultured" look is "just a facade" and boom, we're in the room. That transition just did it for me! Not to mention the incredible magic that was captured on this video and I know this because I've been to one show (almost 2 years ago) and everyone should know that the camera has done none of the work here, there are NO visual effects. This is a show you must experience, there is no other way around it. Love this! Great Work!!!!

There is no question that anyone lucky enough to attend one of Steve's shows will be entertained and astounded! I was lucky enough to have been at one and had to constantly remind myself to close my mouth which was opened in awe at what I was witnessing. You will NOT be disappointed! I would love to see him again. A once is not enough!
The scene which I like most is, that this trailer shows exactly the high level of "Chamber Magic show" and what you can expect during the show and the fact that in the small audience nobody gets left out in the gorgeous 19th Century Showroom! I would love to be the lucky one who wins the tickets and see Steve Cohen again!
Love the scene of him fixing the bow tie. I wear bow ties nearly exclusively and always appreciate it in other’s professional attire. The lit match trick is astounding.
Steve is awesome. My wife took me and 8 of our friends to see him when he was at the Waldorf about 6 years ago for a "special" birthday. What a memorable evening.
