This is incredible. Thank you for showing us how you did it and what some of your thought processes were. I've been considering something like this for our T2 Bus, but I feel like many, many people would be furious at me. But for all the reasons you list at the end, it would be so much more livable.

    Great build 👍
At 3:05 for a gas gauge, you could cut a hole in the base of the tank and add a clear hose that goes vertically.and goes back in the top area of the tank.
This would show the fluid level on the outside of the tank.

Thats a good idea next time I’m low on gas I might do that thankyou

I like the buggy. I have a front wheel drive (a 5.3 from an Impala SS) in the rear of a Celica, and.. you do get some questions. Also, have a buggy (street rail) project, Toyota Celica motor, in the rear of a custom-built rail buggy chassis intended for street use.
Your rear steer is great and simple. I built a locked out steering rack on both projects.

Your builds are awesome I’m surprised you don’t really see many people using the front wheel drives for donors you figured it out early

Thanks for the walk around. Truthfully, there's not much out there on guys finishing a project like this. I'm working a 4 seater buggy frame with a honda Odyssey motor and trans.

The 4 seater would be great I would prefer the honda engine as well but you use what you got good luck to you!

Thanks for the great walk around and info! I would like to know what the angle that you came up with that your struts are set at from vertical? Also I wound why every one that dose this kind of builds wants to install the radiator right behind the seats? If you ever spring a leak which does occur with older radiators the driver and passenger could be burned very easy and besides that the thing is always hot! I have a 1999 2.0L DOHC 150HP Chrysler engine in my Sand Rail mounted to a built VW swing axle with a Kennedy adapter. I placed a 3 core aftermarket Aluminum Radiator For Honda Civic 14.5”x 18” $53.00 in back of the engine! With a 18”C Chanel made of sheet metal from the side of radiator out to just inside the rear tire and a 14”electric fan on the radiator with an adjustable thermostat that only runs the fan when stuck in traffic or off road and driving slow. I could have put a single core or stock radiator in and it would have worked just fine! Well sorry about my 2 cents about putting the radiators behind the seats I know it is the easiest place to put it. Thanks for any strut angle info you can give me.

You are definitely right not the greatest place for the radiator but been lucky so far. On the struts I had one of those electronic angle finder’s and mounted the angles close to angles on the wifes car it is mehh at speeds over 80mph I get some weird handling so i would recommend trying something else

Can you do a video on the wires you spliced to get the engine going??

I pulled the whole harness from the donor car inside and out I think I had to lengthen the key switch harness wiring but other than that no splicing really
