Adding Tracks And Playlists To Your Denon Prime 4 Using Sync Manager - Engine DJ 2.2

- I know this is basic to a lot us, but I see this question still comes up a lot of times. There's quite a lot people joining the Engine Ecosystem and don't have clue how to do this.
This was done using Engine DJ 2.2, via the Sync Manager
Really liked your video. Easy easy to follow. I’ve just bought a Denon Prime 4 and the difficulty was off putting, so really appreciate this info. Keep it up.🙏🏿
Thanks for the easy to follow video. Got a job to do now!
Not sure if you mentioned it somewhere in this video. I made several file moves, folder deletions, etc on my MacBook. Then I went in to Serato DJ and fixed any lost files and reorganized some crates. I opened Engine DJ and updated my Serato playlist. I am now ready to use the Sync Manager to update my SD card. My question is if I select all of my playlists to export, will all of the files overwrite the files on my SD card, or will it be a speedier process and only sync changes?
Gotta love watermarks.
I'm still learning lol, but I upgraded for the next videos

Thanks Bro
I have a usb stick with 3000 tunes on it and have just bought a prime 4.When i put the stick in the prime i cant search artist or track name and i cant see the bpm.Do i have too use the engine software first om the laptop? And do i have too have it connected too the controller in computer mode? Cheers
Right, but do you have to create a new playlist any time you simply want to add a few new tracks to existing playlists? I've been able to add new tracks to existing playlists on the Engine software but for some reason they don't appear on my USB after exporting them.
A question please. If I want to copy various playlists, but some of those playlists contain the same file, is the software clever enough to know this or will it copy multiple copies of that file onto the Prime drive?
The software will use that one file for the track that appears in multiple playlists, as long as it was that one file that was originally used.
@@djcruza hey thank you for the quick reply. Great news, I have one file that lives in at least 6 playlists, so great to know 6 copies of the file won't be sitting on the Prime drive. Nice one @djcruza!
Would the same USB work and load with cues, onto a CDJ gear (coming from engine prime)? Have a gig coming soon that only allows their equipment to be used which is a standard cdj, but I've only been using my Denon dj as I'm just starting out.
The same USB wouldn't work in a CDJ as it is, but it is possible to make it so. You'll need Rekordbox and the DJ Conversion Utility ua-cam.com/video/UyKNp-0WETA/v-deo.html
How you sync the changes made in prime 4 back to engine dj ? The option is not highlighted
Here's how to... ua-cam.com/video/tyvIlwMyvZA/v-deo.html
can i import track into drive from laptop on the fly while playing music
I don't think that is possible, if you're talking about using it in standalone mode. Your laptop only reads the drive when it is in computer mode. But this can be done, if you use Dropbox
Can I export a playlist from engine to folder on pc including tracks?
You can select the tracks and drag to any folder. But do you mean to use as a playlist on Prime/Engine DJ player?
Is there no way to do any of this without computer mode?
I'm afraid not, the drive can only be read when the unit is in computer mode.
But in standalone mode, you can play tracks from your computer, once it's on the same network as your computer and that Engine DJ is running.
@djcruza Oh, hadn't thought of that. Via wifi, local connection!? Awesome. Currently only have 16GB usb so accessing all the music would be great. In that mode, we can get the waveforms, etc. Will give it a go soon
