I need to get my crates and all music off of serato dj from an old pc, onto this mixstream pro+. easy way? just transfer to a usb drive, then put on new pc? and use engine OS to load usb? or just start over... if I were to start over, best to use a standalone streaming app like tidal or beatport, or create a dropbox? or stick with usb

hi nice video, I do have a question. in the video where you were on the prime 4 device cue/loops panel section, I saw on the right of the prime 4 screen save to my drive tab. Is that to save whetever settings you change and saves it to the drive so you don't have to set it again when you plug the drive in for your next gig?

The title of this video is a bit misleading. You do not fix the recording level, you simply boost up the volume of a wav file with an external program. Has nothing to do with Denon Prime hardware.

Is there no way to do any of this without computer mode?

I will prob be the only person to be truthful mate. You need to do this video again, but get the folder on your video instead of expecting people to keep up with your chat with no visual cues. Apart from this one your videos are usually great.

Yes Cruza. Appreciating your helpful videos. I’m not using a Prime 4, I’ve got a Mixstream Pro. When I first started out I didn’t have a laptop, which is what drew me to getting this controller. But my Mac computer was too old to accept Engine DJ. Finding that the USB stick I was using was really lagging (although the SD card with tracks on worked a lot better) I thought I’d get a laptop to organise my music better. I’ve created a nice long mix on the controller, but yesterday I went through in the computer files and renamed the files so I could find the tracks much easier on the controller (artist name, track name) but in doing so, I made a big boo boo. When I put the USB stick back into the controller, instead of it just renaming the info like I thought it would, it lost the tracks leaving them red, and obviously the renamed track didn’t have the cue points. I can see why this would happen, and would have helped if I just organised my music by importing into Engine DJ originally and sorting it all from there. But is there any way of moving forward constructively to save me maximum headache. The two options I have as I can see it is change the track names back to the originals 😳 or go through with the new relabelled tracks and set all new cue points 😳😳😳 I’m not aware of any other options, but thought I’d message you to see if there was a better alternative. Thank you in advance 💯

How do you find the effects section being at the back of the unit? I’m used to regular club layout. Did you use regular layout and then change over? If so, was it difficult? I’m torn between the prime 4 plus at £1900 Or sc live 4 £990 Only thing I want from prime 4 plus is stems and possibility to connect turntables I’m thinking buy sc live 4 for now. Especially as it has built in speakers and I can’t even play loud music and if I love it, maybe buy the more expensive prime 4 plus, in a year or so. Or maybe in a year or so, Denon may release a new device, with stem support and better layout. Amazon said I could order the Sc live 4 or prime 4 plus and return for refund if I’m not happy with it but I kinda don’t trust amazons word because they kinda let me down before . Any1 know if it’s possible to download some software to separate vocal from a song and then be able to mix just the vocal, in to another song. It would be much more convenient, to use the stem support on prime 4 plus but if there’s another way, I’d happily do it, buy sc live 4 and save 1000

Hello there. Im a serato dj pro user and want to start using engine dj to dj with my new denon prime go. But I have all of my music files stored in my external hard drive and i want to move all my music files to my internal hard drive in my macbook pro. How cn I go about this? And set up engine dj software onto my macbook pro?

Drives me mad does engine on windows , I can’t seem to find an easy way to drag and drop into playlists , I can’t even right click and copy to paste in a playlist or drag multiple tracks across

Can you do this the other way round? Say im messing on my laptop adding ques and loops etc. Maybe best to put them tracks in a playlist called "new edits" or something and just syncing that playlist.

If you drag the tracks directly into the actual folder, your newly created Playlist 2 folder, the tracks are automatically analyzed

Right, but do you have to create a new playlist any time you simply want to add a few new tracks to existing playlists? I've been able to add new tracks to existing playlists on the Engine software but for some reason they don't appear on my USB after exporting them.

Not sure if you mentioned it somewhere in this video. I made several file moves, folder deletions, etc on my MacBook. Then I went in to Serato DJ and fixed any lost files and reorganized some crates. I opened Engine DJ and updated my Serato playlist. I am now ready to use the Sync Manager to update my SD card. My question is if I select all of my playlists to export, will all of the files overwrite the files on my SD card, or will it be a speedier process and only sync changes?

I have a usb stick with 3000 tunes on it and have just bought a prime 4.When i put the stick in the prime i cant search artist or track name and i cant see the bpm.Do i have too use the engine software first om the laptop? I don't understand why Denon won't just make it possible to load our own samples to play within the sampler instead of having to load them onto the decks. One sample out of eight just ain't cutting it with the 3.0 update they've just released

I came from the Future to say that we already have sample feature on firmware 3.0. 🤣

Denon could have made it simple to use a Sample. DJ actively use samples and tbis is a major let down by Denon.
