Be catching come whoper white perch this year in elizabeth river in virginia.I use frozen shrimp from grocery store.I cure it in salt.stays on the hook better.I use a 2 hook bottom rig.Cant gurantee stripper wont eat it but not as much as a jig.perch sure do love it though
I caught 5 stripers one day on perch fishing from a dock. My niece and I were catching perch and I threw one out with a big hook and it was GONE and gone GOOD... repeated 4 more times. Sometimes I wonder if there are big stripers near perch schools feeding on THEM!
Good to see you catching some fish. Last Friday we got two big walleye and a bass on a jerk bait. Today we went out there and got skunked. 49° water temp
Question old fisherman If you can not see those perch until they come up off bottom How do you see them on your fish finders because I have the same problem finding them any advice on how to spot them better
@@theoldfisherman2040 I have always had problems finding them in lake Murray it gets frustrating thought maybe you had some advice I usually take some long poles and troll around sometimes it works it seems most of those fish are deep I’m just not the deep water specialist like you but next week I’m going to give it a try I usually fish In santee but no water hardly in it very low because of no rain I’ll try it thanks
Hi Old Fisherman. I love watching your videos! I love fishing and have done a lot of it since I was about 10 years old. You are so much fun to watch and I love all your fishing techniques! I especially like when you tap the floor of your boat to attach the fish! I miss going fishing and am glad to be able to watch your fishing videos and I have learned some tricks from watching you. Please keep your videos coming. They are the highlight of my day!
I'll do my best in keeping the videos coming my friend until I just get to tired, God Bless and thanks for being in the boat with The Old Fisherman.@@tinalilley9599

Good luck my friend.
I am new to the area, and i saw you once coming into the ramp. do you spend most of your fishing on the dam end of the lake below Dreher.
In the Summer I do but now to the Spring I move toward the river area.
May I ask about the tapping thr boat is about
It's a way to put deep water fish in a feed, I've been doing it for many years.
@@theoldfisherman2040 thanks………love your shows

You got to fish to catch them and to find them you can’t look for them on the fishfinder you look for places to fish
