They are both very pretty diamond paintings. I do like Dreamer Designs and have a few of their old ones. I'm still not purchasing new paintings, so it will be a while before I try them again. Thank you so much for sharing!
You probably won't be able to tell until you are actually placing the drills from the new kit, but their drills quality is really great. I have always thought DAC had the best drills, but I did one of their kits before I started on my DD kit and the new DD drills are actually better than the DAC as there is no gapping.
I love Dreamer Designs 💜. Their newest premium version is some of the best quality I have seen in a diamond painting kit. I am working on "Magic in the Moonlight" right now as I am watching your video and thoroughly enjoying myself.
The ones that say "New Version Kit" should have the new canvas. The first one I unboxed was still the old version kit so I thought I was getting the old canvas but I got what looked like a new canvas too. I think to be sure look for the ones that say New Version Kit or you could try asking them in the chat.
You nailed it when you said the issue was the white symbols on light colors. Specifically the greens. The rest I didnt have a problem with. Even at its worst all I had to do was toggle the light pad on and off to make out the lt green symbols.
OMY I LOVE THE SECOND ONE I LOVE HUMMINGBIRDS AND BUTTERFLIES IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL WHEN ITS DONE.

Now you are making me want to start the new kit one. I really like kits with minimal gapping. Well I guess I know what I will be kitting up soon.

I think they are much better than before.
The dividers for the tray will still fit well whether you peel off the covering or not. I don't even bother.

I don't use a light pad but they looked pretty clear with out it.

The new canvas looks much clearer. But like you, I never really had an issue with the old canvases (maybe because I don't use a light pad).
