My boys..... They were so good! Have loved and adored Deftones now since late 90s and it's so great to see how happy they are now and they just made an incredible album. I was at this gig and they were great - I think Chino's vocals haven't been this good since the start. He rocked Passenger. Awesome scream in 7 Words!! Deftones forever. Nobody else even comes close.

@Keiranc1 no need to get all smarmy, ive only heard them on music channels and thats what its called on there. and its the most played song so i was just suprised they never played it
@boidment I disagree with that... i feel like the Deftones had way more energy and enthusiasm. Megadeth just played song after song hardly talking to the crowd. It's hard (for the Deftones) to play a 'bad' set when you have such great songs
@boidment They started a bit dodgey but I thought they did get alot better and were on good form by the 5th song. Megadeth were a huge surprise. Much much better than i thought they'd be, and they kept the set old school which really helped. If you think that Deftones were the worst of the weekend you obviously didn't catch august burns red who were absolutely piss poor.
haha well yea the tones did get better sort of half way through. i dunno i just didnt feel any energy from chino, maybe cause i had the shits from the hog roast haha :P
@boidment Ha, Megadeth are past it, they were so boring me and my gf actually fell asleep, not even joking and she loves Megadeth (which i constantly rip on her for) so you must be warped!! their set was like a drone of just boredom
@christuffer - You cant kill what's already dead mate & Megadeth sucked the life right out of the crowd. They were bland, didnt move from the spot, vocals were terrible - especially the highs. Not once did they bother to interact with the crowd. The performance cemented the fact that they are drab at best & killed off any interest I had in seeing them live in the future. Deftones are an aquired taste, but they owned anything Megadeth brought, and then some. One of the top sets of the weekend.
@christuffer I'm sorry but Megadeth were one of the worst main stage acts. I walked away and got food because they were just shockingly boring. Deftones however were one of the best main stage acts. Probably in the top 10 best, I would go so far as in my personal top 5. They brought a great show and everything was on form. Megadeth played terribly and to think they performed better than Deftones that day is madness.
@christuffer must have A LOT to do with where ur standing cus i thought deftones sounded awesome and im not even rely a fan, and i thought megadeth, lamb of god, killswitch engage, HIM were crap. i mean im not saying the music but the sound was terrible
Are you guys mad? Where you actually there?! The tones were soooooo bad it was unreal. Chino sounded like he was on helium and didn't really want to be there. Easily worst performance of the weekend, especially after megadeth who tore shit up
a friend of mine told me that the guitar player for deftones and slipknot were the same person i told him whatever drugs you are on how about sharing
