You need to start out at the bottom like everyone. To do that, go to www.usajobs.com and review all GS-1102 series jobs. You will not be able to start as anything higher than a GS11 if lucky. Most begin at GS7 and work their way up the food chain. The best way is to have your Govt. application ready to go, and then call a local DCMA office nearest to you and ask for a short 30 min. interview with the DCMA commander. Ask for assistance in getting into the DCMA intern program for contracting. Do the same for Navy, Air Force and Army. you have to be ready for lots and lots of rejection and at the same time show you are POSITIVE in the face of adversity. Another route is to send you resume with a cover letter to all major Fortune 100 Engineering and Construction firms that officer a contract/purchasing training program like Parsons Corp. out of Pasadena CA., The rest is up to you.
