Finally getting a chance to catch up and this episode was worth the wait! Your chatter about making quiet time for yourself and slowing down was very relatable for me personally right now as well. I was also glad to hear you chatting about Logwood dye and its properties - it's one of my favourite dyestuffs to use.
Happy knitting,
Donna
Thank you so very much Loretta I loved all your knits. Very inspiring. 🏴

Hello Loretta! Wonderful episode full of inspiration for yarny goodness. Love all the cowls. I especially love that you encouraged us to take silent retreats. Loretta! You did such a great job of capturing the spirit of Camp Braeburn 2023. Your cowls are just so lovely and d I love how you were able to create a completely different sweater by taking elements from other patterns. I cannot wait for the Halloween episode
Thank you so much! 🧡 I’m so very glad that you enjoyed the Camp Braeburn images. It was such a special time. 🎃 Hallowe’en episode will be out at the weekend! 👻

Loretta, this podcast was just so beautiful - every part of it; the poetry, the landscapes, your knitting, the beautiful Crux Fibres wool, that gorgeous shawl, your advice on taking time out for silent retreat....Thank you so much for sharing it all with us..... I just want to knit the Fleur shawl now but need some yarn that's as beautiful as the low mileage stuff you used......
I’m so glad you left me this comment! ☺️ Thank you! You have so many beautiful yarns in Ireland, I’m excited to see which you choose to knit the Fleur. I loved seeing all those gorgeous LITLG yarns in your episode. I have never knit with their yarn, but oh! It’s so lovely!
I love autumn, too! 🍂🧡🤎🍁 …and all your cowls!
Thank you! 🧡
What a fun trip with your friends - thanks for sharing! Your Nutiden sweater looks so cozy 😊

What a delightful adventure 🤷♀️
Thank you! ☺️
Thank you so much for giving me a moment of joy. I think you also gave me my knitting mojo back 😅. I haven’t been able to watch podcasts the last 12 days but today it was so good to be in your company. Your project are gorgeous. I also made a Fleur shawl a year or so ago, in Nutiden, and it’s such a wonderful shawl to wear. Take care ❤
I’m so glad. These are such heavy days. Big hug!
Your Fleur is SO Gorgeous!❤❤❤
You are so kind! Thank you. ❤️ It’s a dream to wear.
Thanks for reading the poem of Robert Service. I remember visiting his cabin in Dawson City in the 1970’s when I lived in Whitehorse.
I love this! Thank you for sharing. Dawson City is such a great town!
Ive just recently found your podcast and wanted to say how refreshing you and your daughter, Natalia are. I am now binging all episodes to catch up. My husband and I raised three children out in the country off grid in a little town named Sutton, VT, USA. Please ask Natalia to put a pin in her map for me! 😘 Looking forward to your next episode...
Natalja will absolutely put a pin on the map for you! Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It’s lovely to hear from you. ❤️
Thank you Loretta ❤ loved your nature elements and emphasis on community. Your versal adaptation is gorgeous. I have the pattern and plan to cast on with Nutiden Vagabond. I agree with you on Miss Evil’s contribution to our craft. There is freedom in creating. I’m just beginning to see what happens when I honor a designer by pulling what I value and then building on it to make it my own. Appreciate the encouragement
This is such a beautiful way to express the sentiment! Thank you. Yes, I agree, I do feel that it is a way of honouring the designer to knit something that really works for you. Enjoy the Versal!
First time viewer - came to you via Sarah (Fibretrek), and I'm so glad I did. A lovely gentle, informative episode, and I now have many (many) things to go and research!).
Thank you so much for popping over! Sarah is the best! I love her & I’m so happy to welcome you here.
Thank you
❤️
Thanks for this lovely episode. I'm afraid I can't agree with you about autumn, I find the darker evenings and the summer being over so depressing, it really lowers my mood and I can't wait for next spring and summer - my favourite times of the year. But thanks for the inspiration for the Birds and Ships Cowl. I have now bought it as I have that perfect skein of yarn that has been waiting for the perfect pattern to pair it with, so I'm off to ball up my yarn and make a start. Loving ALL of your wooly knits😊
Thanks! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the episode and found inspiration! 💖
Loved🥰
🧡💛🤎
Wonderful to see you! Love your Halibut 😃 I’ve the jumper pattern to knit sometime, but first I think I’ll make the hat for Tom as part of the KAL. Enjoyed the retreat footage- and the beautiful bear at the end ❤
It’s such a fun pattern! The hat will be great. ❤️ I’m glad you enjoyed our episode.
I’m catching up on my podcasts now that i have time. Hope you are well! ❤
Welcome back! Thank you for popping in! 🩷 It’s always good to hear from you.
💌
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this episode. You get better and better with each episode.
I used to go away by myself each year. I didn’t go camping, but traveled to stay in a condo in a resort. I would bring my quilting, some knitting and an inspirational book. I did interact with others and went out some, but the majority of my time was spent alone. I would be gone a week. It renewed me for homeschooling and life in general.
I haven’t dove this since I was treated for eye cancer. Driving or walking new places is difficult. You e inspired me to think about going away closer to home.
Thank you! 💕 I’m so glad to bring back these good memories. It’s so important to incorporate time to nurture and care for our own hearts, as well as others. But so easy to forget about that.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful episode, Loretta. The season of Autumn and Winter are my happy place.. it is so hard to describe the quietness & serenity you feel with these seasons, except if you are another like-minded soul. I am an introvert, so the need for quiet comes hand in hand. I loved all your knits, and it was so nice to see the cowl you knit up from Lotta.. she was the very first designer I tested for a few years ago.. the lovely Haymaker scarf 🫶
It’s true, for us autumn/winter loving folks, this time of year is so wonderful! I’m glad you enjoyed the episode. Thank you! ☺️
Loved your episode Loretta, you truly are an inspiration ❤ Beautiful knits 🧶 as well
I’m so happy you enjoyed the episode. Thank you for the encouragement! ☺️
I loved this beautiful Episode ❤ full of inspiration 😊 thank you Loretta ❤
I’m so glad to hear! Thank you! ☺️
I, too, love autumn! It revives me after a very long summer. I don't like summer. I don't do well with heat and humidity at all. I love to go and hike by myself with my dog or go out to the stable by my horses. When the autumn leaves 🍂 are in full color so is my soul. I love your podcast. It's so peaceful and relaxing. I hope you have a fabulous day. 🍂🍁
I feel the same, invigorated in the cooler weather and the gentle darkness. I’m so glad you enjoyed the episode! Thank you for leaving me a comment!
Also, you are so right - Brittany is an AMAZING cook!,
What a lovely hour spent with you! Thank you for sharing some cabin moments, the beautiful cowls and the cozy, fall vibes that are my favorite too!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much! 🍂🧡🧶
I feel the same about cowls: I like them close to my neck to keep me warm. Thanks for this episode! ❤❤❤
I’m glad you enjoyed! ☺️❤️
Loretta, such a precious eppisode, thank you for all that you shared - and the knitwear was all beautiful! I'm an autumn/winter soul, too ❤

I really enjoy your podcasts. The knitwear patterns you choose are so classic and your choice of wool is amazing.
Thank you so much! Your feedback is very encouraging. ☺️
It was so beautiful listening to you talk about autumn and the silent moments.... thank you. Ivana ❤

I Watch thé Knitty Stew…. And I saw her video on Yukon. Can I ask are you Scottish, as I detect a little burr lol I am Scottish too and live in Quebec…I am originally from Fife
Hi Elaine, actually I do get asked often: Scottish ☺️ and I would be very glad to be honorarily Scottish! 😉 But no, I am from the Yukon. I do speak German quite a lot and I work in French, so I think you are hearing these languages coming through. But I’d be very proud to be counted with your folk! ❤️ I did also live in Québec once & I’m dreaming of the autumn colours you must be enjoying!
Thank you for responding … well I usually have such a good ear,
@@KnitMyWayHome well a lot of people have told me that I have a French Canadian accent when I speak English! I am delighted for you to be an honorary Scot 😘
