Junna is one of my favorite drummers next to the late great NEIL PEART the drummer from the group RUSH I'm a drummer in my 50s and I wish I had half the energy junna has
I keep saying it. That is Jackie Chan’s uncontrollable daughter! He decided to get her a drum kit to settle her down. China to Japan to the USA Junna just is crazy! 😂
Thanks for the reaction! My absolute favorite JUNNA cover! She's an absolute BEAST! Guy, the DragonForce drummer, did a reaction of this and was like a proud father, stating this is the best cover he's ever seen of this song. In regards to Bassists (specifically Japanese Female - what a surprise, right?), anything Misa (BandMaid) plays (1 min sample - ua-cam.com/users/shortsKbuVOEVoUDQ), MINA (slaps a lot) (40 second sample) ua-cam.com/users/shortsrQoek2w7vPs, and then if you want FUNKY, go to Juna Serita, " What is hip ? (cover ) - TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI " ua-cam.com/video/tA8PKx09ao8/v-deo.html. This song also provides a bonus, a super funky routine on the Shamisen (Japanese Banjo type traditional instrument.) According to one YOYOKA fan that says he had spoken to YOYOKA's mom (Rie) (unverified) YOYOKA nad Juna were suppose to collaborate, then Juna dropped this: " Juna Serita - Funk you ! 【 MV】 " ua-cam.com/video/AeWbAF9H3ws/v-deo.html and YOYOKA's mom pulled the plug right away. It is super funky, super hilarious, features the bass mostly in regards to instruments, but is mostly a music video. On the spicy side, so if that offends you, you want to pass on this one, however, if not, then it's a must see!
Then there's Canadian black female bassist Rhonda Smith, currently with Jeff Beck, but has played for Beyonce and Prince (for 10 years). She recently played bass with YOYOKA on YOYOKA's "Sparkling". Here's a Rhonda Smith solo. ua-cam.com/video/DxR6yrATKcs/v-deo.html. She might be living in Los Angeles, not sure.
Junna is probably the most intense female drummer on the planet, including surpassing Salon Gas. There is no doubt she can play slow, but she has not fully displayed her drumming talents for all of us to see. No doubt, we will see her showcase more of her talents as she continues with her postings. She needs to get her own group where she can play freely and highlight her talents.
ANOTHER GREAT DRUMMER TO WATCH IS HARUNA ! SHE PLAYS FOR AN ALL FEMALE METAL BAND NAMED "LOVEBITES" AND SHE'S AMAZING ! SHE LIKES TO GO FAST AS WELL ! THE LIVE VIDEOS ARE THE BEST !
Don’t feel bad about not being familiar with the metal genre. It goes both ways, I’m sure artists and songs known by everyone in your circle are unknown to others that just aren’t exposed to it. Also, just a note… Junna’s little drinking interlude in the middle is playing homage to the original Dragonforce video where the two guitarists are trading solos and one of them bends down and picks up a beer and drinks while the other is playing
If you are interested in female artists, check out Tina S, she does a cover of the guitar work on this song. A search for Tina S, Through The Fire and Flames will take you to the right place. And the after that watch the Herman Li (one of the original guitarists of the song) reaction video. 🎸🎸🎸😎🤘
You got to react to another japanese drummer. Male this time but he is crazy in all aspects. Normally he is doing drumcovers of gamingmusic but sometimes is he is doing some serious shit. Here is Carmina Burana ua-cam.com/video/X7kA7U9Ybjg/v-deo.html
