“I feel numb”: transitioning from child welfare to homelessness | Generation Homeless, Episode 2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 жов 2021
- In this episode, Adrianna discusses the “eternity of death” that is settler colonialism. From the child welfare system, homelessness to premature death, she is candid and poised in her description of state-sanctioned violence and the intergenerational trauma that has come to define her life as a Two-Spirit Indigenous person.
Despite the constant call to shelter in place, within Tkaronto/Toronto, more than 8,000 people remain unhoused. Generation Homeless is a series dedicated to the crises that rampant real estate speculation created across Turtle Island; particularly as lived and experienced by youth.

They are such a beautiful soul. I aspire to stay this full off passion and drive throughout my life. We have a lot to learn from people like them
Love to you , meegwetch! ✊🏼
Beautiful beautiful being, I hope she's ok. Stay strong, & know that theres ALWAYS that 1 person that DOES care... sometimes that 1 person is someone u havent even met..yet...but know they cared, loved u long before they even have a face & name for that love..
So beautiful a person and incredible soul...many could learn ALOT if they really listened...
Stay strong...
Brought me to tears . Something needs to change
You need the Holy Spirit to change that because the demon behind addiction is not a joker! Take it this way: what are the forces that govern a drug addict? Who made certain drugs and herbs legal?
Love and Light ❤️
Heartbreaking.
Good Luck Adrianna!
The closed captioning on this video is quite inaccurate. Can you fix please?
❣️😢❤️
The demon behind addiction and homelessness
If we can identify the forces and the sources behind addiction, then we can separate the hosts from the demons.
Ecclesiastes 9:11Again, I saw that under the sun, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor is bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favour to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.
😓
❤
yeah, no, where are the indigenous homeless of Toronto...the ppl sleeping on the grates, ppl that were always there, ready with a laugh? ...some may have aged out, some were undoubtedly lost in 'the pandemic'...but...they're *all* gone, it seems, these days (2022 this year)...
i would go back to moosenee if iwas her,, she should be able to get housing there for sure.. better than the street.
Homeless or not, we all die alone at the end.
Find the jobs for her. God please help.
Until your homeless you don't know what life is.
Call on Jesus. He will help you.
🖤❤💛🤍
I think these indigenous kids should be given to adoption to new immigrants they will be raised very well and will get a job because immigrant parents out alit of love , pressure for you to be successful.
To the CBC I will say I refuse to watch or listen to anything more of what you put out. If we are not allowed to comment on most of your articles including those on facebook then I consider that to be an infringment of our rights to speak up to criticize what you report on.
They remove the comment section because the internet has too many people who are trying to remind us that they hate us.
Feel like you're rights are infringed upon because of your inability to make a comment??? Sounds really hard for you.

Not sure what you mean because I'm making a comment my comment is like explain yourself
