I don't remember q series has default names for the main characters, even official Atlus site for q regards them as P3P Heroine, P3 Hero, P4 Hero and P5 Hero. And Minato Arisato is his name for the manga adaptation written by "Shūji SOGABE/ATLUS". So at this point, we can think of both Minato Arisato and Makoto Yūki as canon and pick whichever we like.

@@thelam763 Not really, mementos is the source of every palace in the game and they all portrayed very different sins. Same goes for all targets in mementos. The god of control himself has attacks representing all of them. Sloth might be predominant but is certainly not the only sin represented by mementos. How that ties in with the other stories (if at all) I have no idea though.
I'd be more happy with a remaster in ps4, if you don't have ps3 you are screwed, and that way atlus could concentrate in SMTV, well if it comes out sometime in this new decade haha

ikr, i wish they brought back fusion skills in P5R but sadly they did not................ even if they brought them back as consumables much like how they were in P3P i wouldt mind, but considering some of the DLC personas have skills that were fusion skills in P3 i.e cadenza on orpheus it would be somewhat tricky for personas like that as they would need to get a completely new skill or replace the cadenza consumable entirely with one that functions similar but at the same time not entirely like how cadenza did/does

He does summon Messiah during this fight. All he casts with it is Megidolaon. If only he used Armageddon lol. I don't think he ever summons either Helel or Satan at all.
I managed to cheese him by spamming a mighty gaze/bless amp/boost/magic ability kaguya, and having ann put him to sleep, then ryuji attack him the next turn, then ann put him back to sleep while i used a grace of lotus orpheus picaro's neo cadenza and makoto who I taught marakunda in the nightclub. When minato got low on hp i just let him sleep until he fully recovered and then i hit him with another shining arrows.

I think it annoys people as the character of Minato (Manga) and Yuki-kun (Movie and dance games, also referring him as that to avoid confusion) don't match. The canon behavior is mostly Yuki-kun's, but Minato's name was used a long time that it's mostly that they got used to. Same with Ren being called Akira and Yu (at one point).

Why is it that everyone accepts Ren and Yu as their canonical names after they've appeared as that in their respective games and anime, but so many people still call Makoto Yuki "Minato?"
Proabably since the P3 movie that gave him the name Makoto Yuki, didn't come out until 2013, 7 years after the original game came out. The manga that gave him the name Minato Arisato came out in 2007. Thus, Minato Arisato was the official name for 6 years.
Maybe it's the art style that accompanies the P5 engine, but don't the P3 and P4 protags seem taller than they did in their original games, or is it just me?

I managed to cheese him by spamming a mighty gaze/bless amp/boost/magic ability kaguya, and having ann put him to sleep, then ryuji attack him the next turn, then ann put him back to sleep while i used a grace of lotus orpheus picaro's neo cadenza and makoto who I taught marakunda in the nightclub. When minato got low on hp i just let him sleep until he fully recovered and then i hit him with another shining arrows.

Mass Destruction is playing in the background, to him you may as well be a random common enemy. You're likely not going to go all out on a "regular enemy" if that were the case, besides this is supposed to be a fair fight. Or maybe he really just doesn't care.

I think it annoys people as the character of Minato (Manga) and Yuki-kun (Movie and dance games, also referring him as that to avoid confusion) don't match. The canon behavior is mostly Yuki-kun's, but Minato's name was used a long time that it's mostly that they got used to. Same with Ren being called Akira and Yu (at one point).
Nothing like that annoys me but how overrated p5 is tbh.

Also, isn't that an attack joker only used once? Although maybe Atlus decided to take it away from Satanael after the Yaldabaoth fight because then Sinful Shell would just get boring after a while because of how it can one-shot anything.

Why is it that everyone accepts Ren and Yu as their canonical names after they've appeared as that in their respective games and anime, but so many people still call Makoto Yuki "Minato?"
Proabably since the P3 movie that gave him the name Makoto Yuki, didn't come out until 2013, 7 years after the original game came out. The manga that gave him the name Minato Arisato came out in 2007. Thus, Minato Arisato was the official name for 6 years.
