In the Cthulhu expansion rules, you can discard a card to either draw a new card, or move to an adjacent space, which should somewhat fix your main issue. You could houserule this into the base rules.

I found players got a bit confused by the fact that the meeples and the labs have the same colors. I'd have preferred some other colors or maybe some scientist plastics. Otherwise, this is a great game.
Love Zee to death. The acrostic on screen is driving me nuts. I think it's a great tool for him to use, but I wish it wasn't on screen. It's distracting and pulls me away from the review. Thanks so much for what you guys do on the Dice Tower!
are you talking about the text on the left side while he's reviewing in the second half? Agreed... the text should be on the left 1/3rd while he's centered in the right 2/3rds. rule of thirds. otherwise, good stuff as usual :)

Just one thing :) Recycle = take card to your hand, not as a tool. That also helps with problems when you're stuck and looking for that one card!

in order to move you can also RECYCLE, so you have two possibilities. In order to look for them you use your 3 cations discard three cards

I think I won 1 or 2 in 15-20 games...

I'd rather the text not be there, but the ratio approach would be better.
