Don’t make this mistake with your poppies!

I know it sounds so rude to the poppies but if you don’t burn the end of the stem, it will get sap in the water and that sap makes the poppy wilt so fast. So once you cut your puppies burn the end of that stem until all those little fuzzy hairs are sizzling, and it will give you the longest vase life!
This poppy is a type of oriental poppy, and I’m attempting to save some seeds from one of the blooms this year, with the hopes that I can multiply our patch because I love her so much. She is gorgeous!
