3 garden plants perfect for a fall garland
Go do a walk around your garden, or thru the wild places and gather a few things to create your own fall garland.
1. Grapevines or any vining plant will do. Wind several stalks together to create the base to hold the rest of the beauty
2. Dried Chinese Lanterns are my all time FAVORITE fall plant, they make for the most festive decor
3. Autumn Joy Seedum
And bonus... Rose Hips, and American Strawberry Bush seed pods are so fun too!
And yes you need lights tucked in as well to make the darker mornings and early evenings all the cozier.

The secret to helping unhappy plants
Переглядів 11День тому
Dig it up!! There are so many reasons why a plant isn't thriving: - poor soil - poor drainage - not enough sun - not enough water So if it's not doing well, get it out of the ground and into a pot. Dig a big root ball so the roots don't get disturbed and tuck it into a pot to give it the exact conditions it loves. Make sure your pot has good drainage!! You don't want the plant getting a soggy b...

The secret to using greenery in arrangements!
Переглядів 23День тому
Seems crazy BUT it works! Some flowers/plants produce a sap that cause a lot of issues for other plants in floral arrangements- Euphorbia is one of them. When you cut the stem you'll see a white milky sap dripping from it. And this is why you need to cauterize it, to block the stem from dripping all of that sap into the water. Just remember if you cut it fresh for your arrangement, burn the ste...
Do NOT put citrus in your compost
Переглядів 606День тому
We put bowl fulls of citrus in our compost and have never had an issue with it. But! We do use large barrel Turners as well as big compost bins so this is not a worm casting bin. I have heard that the worm casting bins have some different rules. But if you are going to use a barrel, Turner start with a couple bucket falls of shredded paper. That is our secret to keeping the compost balanced. An...

Thank you!!! I will take a photo of this beautiful peony bush that I enjoyed in my new home in Northern Nevada. The entire plant has new blooms on it and I have been at a loss since I have been living in Las Vegas the last 20 years. I can tell you about lantana, verbena, even purslane but not peonies. Your help is very much appreciated!!!
Couldnt agree more. My work required me to travel extensively. Staying home IS my holiday 🎉
That did not look like a hydrangea ?? What kind is that purple prettiness
It is a hydrangea!! it came from our local flower supplier!
@@ciderpresslane it’s beautiful 😻does it have a name ?
😂😂😂I've been calling this plant a Daphne for years. Blaming my mom! 😂😂😂❤
You could easily just say you live a very unfulfilled life i can see it in your eyes 😂
Thanx good info
I worked so hard to get my rhubarb to grow, I've been afraid to harvest the stalks! Something I see with my rhubarb is the stalks don't turn dark red, some stay greenish even when large. I'm up to 4 plants, I'mm so excited!!! Two of my plants are from an abandoned rhubarb farm in puyallup. It was under development into a wedding venue and I had the chance to salvage some 🎉
So cool! I'm also a pacific northwest gardener, south of Seattle. Just found your channel ❤
Love the idea and it's my first try
Would love to know the name of the zinnias you are growing. Thank you
Butterfly 🦋 Bush 😅😊
Great to know. Zinnias are my favorite flower. 💜
Please send me more info about the Zinnia you grow

How to overwinter perennial cosmos?
Hi Kelly silly question but I’m totally new to this! Can I plant the seedlings in my standing planter where I’ve also planted my dahlia tubers?
Yes you can! get them transplanted before they get to big, Zinnia's don't like being moved after they have been established. You can also add some new seeds straight into your bed that way you'll have a fresh crop of Zinnias later this summer!
Thank you so much for sharing! This summer is my first time growing these beauties from seed. They’re not quite ready for this but as soon as they are I’m pinching❣️
So glad you found this useful! I hope that your zinnias are full and beautiful!
the lime jiuice company has taste standards built in. If you get a bag of limes, its a mixed bag. You go girl. Pie
I use chamomile tea for my enemas. Stomach acids weaken the potency.
wow! that's amazing - way to find the best way to use it
@ciderpresslane Thank you. I have used coffee enemas, essential oil enemas, herbal enemas, tea enemas, and warm water enemas since 1995 and loving every last second of it.
O my lord your cheating 🫵😳
Those look great!
Glad you like them!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I just moved to a new property in New England and we have soooo many beautiful plants as our property waded previously inhabited by a botanist. This video was Just what I needed to keep his stunning legacy blooming all summer!❤🥰🤘
Where can I locate your other dhalia video "unboxing" for spring time...division..
I enjoyed your video! Which city are you in? Is it similar climate to Toronto(Canada)? My tubers didnt make it through the winter. I had them in peat moss in paper bag in a cardboard box in the garage. They shrivelled up. I will buy dhalia tubers and plant them again and try your method.
So sorry your's didn't survive the winter! We stopped using cardboard boxes for our storage because they allow all the moisture to leach out of the tubers. It's why we started using the plastic totes with the fine wood shavings. The wood shavings keep the moisture balance in the tote while the tote itself keeps the moisture in. Storing tubers is such an individual climate, individual storage area thing to sort out. We'll keep sharing dahlia videos thru the season!
So, it's been a year since you made this video. I don't see that anyone has posted a video or photo of peonies stored int he fridge and then revived in a vase. C'mon, share, please, we want to see if this really works!
How much time do the blooms need in the water, after coming out of the fridge, to be in a good bloom?
