What the heck are FRAC Codes and why do we need to know them? This was a question that was left on our Fungicide Rotation video, which you can check out here...
• Lawn Fungicide Rotatio...
So, we thought we would circle back around, and discuss fungicide roation, FRAC codes, and fungicide resistance some more to try and help you understand how important it is.
And here is the link to our "How to Apply Fungicides" video...

I love that intro track. Sounds like it should be the backing on a Wu-Tang song.
Thank you for explaining FRAC codes to us. Do you have a link to the full list of FRAC codes that you printed out for this video? I would like to read through that list to try and understand them better.
Have a happy sunshiny day! :-)
Here ya go... www.frac.info/docs/default-source/publications/frac-code-list/frac_code_list_2018-final.pdf?sfvrsn=6144b9a_2
And I just noticed, that was an old list that I printed out. The above link is the most recent one FRAC has.
👍🏼 Good video.
have you put out a general calendar for maintenance and application?
We do have a general calendar in our lawn care guides. Keep in mind this is very general. It will vary depending on what region you live in, grass type, weather patterns, etc. You can find that here...

Thanks for the video. So I had a bad brown patch problem last year and just put down my second group 3. I think I’m going to buy some heritage and throw er down in 14 days. Will that be my last round for the year? I’m in MS with St Aug.
Need to treat as long as the conditions are favorable for disease. Need to do one more app of the 11 and may need to rotate back to 3.
So they are grouped by active ingredient, no different group has the same ingredient? Are there any groups that can’t be rotated together? I plan to rotate a Group 1 and Group 3 to treat red thread in spring and rust in late summer. Thank you for your videos.
Most fungicide groups contain multiple active ingredients, usually slight variations on an original active ingredient. So no, the same active ingredient cannot be in more than one group. Rotating Groups 1 and 3 is perfectly fine.
DoMyOwn ... Thank you for clearing that up for me. I appreciate all you do in your videos.
Does the gallon per 1000 really matter, or is it the amount of product per 1000 that is important?
The amount of product per 1,000 is most important. Water is just the carrier.
I sprayed a fungicide about a week ago, and now I've noticed mushrooms are sprouting up all over the lawn. Is this to be expected? If not what do I need to do? I sprayed Eagle 20EW. Anyones input is appreciated.
Mushrooms are typically something breaking down in the soil, not necessarily a fungus in the yard. Mushrooms are sometimes a sign of a fungus, but they usually are because of something going on underneath the soil surface. You might have Pythium Blight or Fairy Ring are two that sprout mushrooms.
What’s the intro song?
The song is from the UA-cam Audio Library, called Castello Oak.
Bro the theatrics of your video edits might make you feel artsy but come on...we came in here for information, not entertainment on FRAC codes and fungicide. Cut to the chase!
