@@samrands5967 your mental impacts skill though, he has always played tense (you can still see it here), raged (control issues) and even bm at times. Being able to be totally relaxed and calm while gaming impacts everything, especially decision making and awareness of what is going on. Mechanics/skill is always going to be a factor, but a lot of that is how comfortable are you at the computer, how easily are you making all the decisions that you have to and executing them physically. Due to health issues myself over the years and having physical and cognitive issues your physical and mental state make a massive difference on how well you can navigate any game, and how much you will enjoy it and learn from it. Arty still seems to be having fun though, in between the rage and bm.
@@petecabrina stress and bm are two different things I think. I don't see where the rage really impacts RT's play mechanically. So then it must be mentally I guess, but I do hate this idea that I have to say GG to be good. The problem I see with RT is attributing luck to his opponent rather than taking responsibility, but even then, how exactly does that impact his gameplay...

the odds of it happening was: 0.012% so that's 12 in 1000, per SCV. so expanding that out: 2.98 x 10^-10 percent. Artosis finding the once in seventeen universes odds and showcasing.

@@DarkLeviathan8 must be a meme. How many build positions are there for scv animation? I’d guess 8 possibilities 2 of them being outward. So 1/4 to the power of 6? One in 5000 by that math. I think. All guessing, I don’t play this shit game I just watch it 😂

I’d they go there 1/8th of the time, you would either divide to make the denominator 1, or multiply to make it 100.
Giving you .125/1, or, 12.5/100. .125^6.
Of course, there may be more then one outwards position? Idk. So maybe it’s .25^6

If we work with the assumption that the movement of the building SCV is random, and we estimate the size of the danger zone being 1/4 of the area around the depot and therefore the risk of the SCV going there also being 1/4, the odds of all 6 going there is 1/4096.

You are my favorite caster ever! The the grumpy persona mixed with the master level understanding of the game and master level understanding how to cast games makes you the most entertaining persona in BroodWar world. Of course the duet with Tasteless is priceless.

Hey RT, I really liked your last video talk with NonY. I find the insights of how people like you, Grant or Day9 talk about starcraft with your decades worth of experience with these games fascinating. I heard you once say that the baneling was by far the worst unit desinged in SC2 so I wonder if you would maybe elaborate on starcraft unit desing in general and what makes a good or a bad unit that would be an extreamly fun and educational video I think.
I love Terran vs Protoss. There's not enough story lore involving war between them. Humans vs Robots. Human needs a grenade shooting jet bike to beat a fast moving lightsaber wielding android.
The Protoss are a biological race they are not robots or androids. They have and use them to a greater extent that the Terrans tho.

If the SCV has 4 positions it can randomly move to, the chances of getting the same one 6 times in a row is 0.02%.
If it has 8 positions to randomly select, the chances are 0.0004%

artosis, is it possible to stop the SCV when you see it is going to the upper left, and then reassign it to construction until it chooses a spot that is safe?
Artosis, you can influence the pattern of the SCV building path based on the orientation and angle of the SCV (in relation to the building) when you click. Certain configurations will almost always make the SCV go straight across and out whereas others will make it go left or right.

Are there ways to manipulate the position of SCVs when constructing buildings? If the SCV started construction on the depot on the side where the Zealots were, would it be more likely to quickly slide over to the side where the bunker was? Or is it completely random, regardless of which side it starts constructing the depot?

So like, what did Artosis change?
Ive seen a few changes: not stuck on 2 bases anymore, keep protoss contained to the extent he can on expos and controlling his side of the map, and vulture play both earlygame and lategame. Terran has to do a million things to win but vulture play and mine placement/strategy is what Arto appears to be alot better at now and thats the difference. My take anyway.

Artosis ur missing the point of this game . SC was made in time where most RTS had same factions just "dressed up" different with minor changes . SC was a first RTS game with totally different factions who can cancel each other . And thank god "blizztard" dont mess it up in SC1 like they did in SC2.
SC was the first like this from "top" line or RTS, which were at the time Warcraft and CnC franchises, but there were some RTS games with very different factions before that. From the top of my head I can remember Total Annihilation coming out like a year before SC.
@@ivankuzin8388 i would disagree on C&C ( same units everywhere) and TA was unplayable in multiplayer. SC bring new standarts to RTS
@@Stark-sk7vg Hmm, pretty sure I've played multiplayer TA back in the day, however, that was LAN, I didn't have internet back then :) I was playing in my local PC cafe (no internet even there!), we were playing War2 and CnC (from RTS), then briefly TA and then Starcraft, all over LAN.
PS I'm not debating the importance of Starcraft, far from it, just pointed out there were less popular games with similarly different factions before.

So what's the solution? I just saw some quick shorts of you winning then one where you got fucked by RNG. Then one you playing normally and the enemy statising his own units including a templar. I get the feeling your being sarcastic and that you have to play perfectly in order to win, which I agree with as a fellow Terran player.
