I'm an American-Iranian Farsi speaker born and raised in America. Your Farsi progression is incredible! I'm going to use your recommendations to help my husband and children learn Farsi. Thank you for your incredible work!
Your progress is very encouraging, thanks for uploading this. I started learning Persian a while ago using Assimil and a Langenscheidt course from 1967 (I'm German and have found their older stuff pretty good). Trying to keep it realistic: If I ever make it to A2 in Persian I'd be more than happy.
Thanks for watching! Well a good 500 hours will get you till A2 for sure, you'll find all kinds of advice, resources and methods in this channel in case you need it, but I guess not, because Assimil is very good! Good luck
Just discovered you channel very nice ! Congrats on you progress ! 🎉 I plan on learning Persian too just haven’t found the right time yet 😅 hopefully you will have good experience and do a video on the best resources and such best of luck !
Every day thanks to god I am getting stronger! I still have a long way to go! I bought an english and a farsi copy of the blind owl and I am going to start reading that to boost my progress inshallah!@@MaxLearnsPersian
Niiice! I have a question for you, Max! Do you have any video where you talk about how you choose at what level you are listening with Lingq (and other listening resources)? Like, do you only listen to content where you understand almost all words? Or also to content where you only understand a few words at all during the first listen? Also, do you first read a story on Lingq and then listen to it over and over again, or do you first listen to it multiple times before you read it?
Do you practice having conversations or interactions with people? (something like online chats with native speakrs, or at least leave comments on youtube and reply to other comments having a small 'conversation' like that?)
Wow top man!
Jij?
@@MaxLearnsPersian Even kijken hmmm Fesenjoon en Kabobe koobideh.
From Muslim perspective: Farsi could have been one of the most spoken and learnt language if it were not Safavids. Before they made whole Iran forcibly shia, it was the center of Islamic knowledge for many centuries. 😢 Having said this, i planned to learn middle Farsi for learning religious knowledge of the past.
@@Goodtogoo5671 After a century or so, Persia where most of classical Sunni scholars were born and taught became predominantly Shia. All the Sunnies are alongside with borders only. And we know what kinda policies Safavids shahs (most, not all) did to do that.

Yes, I know! Did I not do that or what happened?

It's encouraging, when you see your own progress, right?
It is indeed! It looks faster than it feels. It feels terrifyingly slow...

I chose things I understand for about 50-80% after reading. I first read then listen, sometimes read agaim and listen more
@@MaxLearnsPersian thanks, that's helpful! (I just started using Lingq this week to complement the italki lessons I've been taking.)
