Practically everything we need to know and see in seven minutes, in a clear, informative and fun way. Well done!
X-S20 done right! good job Fuji! cant wait to get my hands on one.
Absolutely insane. It's been a while since I've been excited since about a Fujifilm release and this is a really nice combo!
This is impressive. Nice big grip, huge battery, 6.2k 10-bit for $1300!
This should have been the x-summit video. good job
agree
Agreed, he killed it. 😃
Great round up of this new offering. Video was excellent, no fluff and clear explanations of the specifications.👍
I still adore your xs10 opening section, so memorable.
...plus slowmo cat, of course.
It feels like it was happened yesterday.
The big oomph on battery is a great choice 😊
im still saving for a xs10 and here's xs20 hahaha :')
It's now time a xs10 and just forget the xs20. xs10 is more than good enough.
I’m so excited about this camera!
Wonderful speaking voice, great review. I'm pretty excited about this camera as an upgrade to my video shooting. Currently on MFT, so it's going to be a slow transition as it means I'll have to invest in lenses too.
Cheers!
Best review of the X-S20! Thanks!
A product priority mode part make me laugh for a day. Brooo, comedian is your real job !
i agree, sometimes the smaller thing, if you use it right is an exceptional thing to have..
that what she said

Thank you for the great review.
Just returned my xs10 I we liking it a lot so I'll wait for it to go on sale again or hopefully upgrade to this little monster 🙏 great video!!
Really good review/update clear and to the point thank you
Hi great review. I am wondering about 8mm f3.5 performance for astro-landscape photography in my xt 5 as the 8-16 mm is to heavy for mountain astro photography. I would really appreciate your comments about. All the best. Alberto
Cant wait for mine to arrive :D
Nothing better than their XF14mmF2.8 R Ultra Wide-Angle Lens.
very informative! thank you
'Cupcake to ripped off' scale of value should be trademarked immediately
What the hell?
This is the most random camera release of the year, but this completely changed the landscape of video cameras. Sony APSC (except the FX30) feels dead 😭
Very Nice!
Can you record 12bit raw on Fuji XS-20 camera and show it on external recorder?
Im preordering this, what a jump in tech from my canon 6d mark 1. Its not full frame but its better in every single way otherwise. The weather sealing is missed too so hope it holds up.
wow this is a beast!
Is there record limit in 4K@30 fps in 10-bit 422?
hot damn.. if only it wasnt cropped in 4k@60 it would have been my new camera
So smart for Fuji to use the same fan module ..
First time watching one of your reviews and enjoyed it - thanks! You got a new sub 😊 Question: is the xs20 capable of unlimited recording? You may have mentioned it and I inadvertently missed it in your review.
While using it as web camera via usb-c cable, is the battery charging simultaneously too? Or dummy battery with power supply is needed to keep camera running?
Which is better, the 18 - 55mm lens or the 16 - 80 mm Fuji lens with this camera?
Thoughts on upgrading from X-S10 to X-S20, would it be worth it?
I doubt you would notice any difference for photo
Which camera lens you used for the Anamorphic lens ?
Ooh love this
8mm 3.5 size that is damnn smexyyyyyy, and bc the megapixel count increased.....you can crop the 8mm to 16mm so...damnnn i want one so bad I wonder how much its gonna be in Tokyo.....
wait that screw in filter mount is a dream for landscape ppl....
thanks for a great coverage on the XS-20 and 8mm F3.5 Love your contents
do you know if Fuji is going to release the Xpro 4 since im kinda sad the Xpro 3 is discontinued or will...
did he mentioned that the xt5 processor on the new x-s20 only up the video capabilities and not so much on stills? what if i'm into wildlife/sports or other fast action use cases?
Mr ZY "I never reply to my supporters comments" Cheng!
I have the same camera, with the fan. Disappointed to discover that at 10 bit 4.2.2 in All-Intra, you can only record video up to 45 minutes continuously, in whatever mode (with a very fast SD card). And nothing to do with overheating. Not good enough.
How long are your arms? Asking for a friend.
Video recording time limits?
Wish you'll review the Sony Xperia 1V.
wow, for stills how does the AF compare with XT-5/XH2?
Rival to R8. ..waiting for sony apc latest camera
Yepp, waiting for the A6700 rumors 🤔
@@brojustin5741 sony will alarm for this 😄😄 there a6400 and 6600 is old for this year. .. need to be update new body and tech specs
The r8 is full frame tho. But at $200 more.
@@truthseeker6804 yeah but still worth it its FullFrame a mini r6 with no IBIS
Is the camera waterproof ? Thanks!
No, there's no weather sealing which is a shame seeing as it's also aimed at travel.
Product photography mode actually blew my mind. Reverse face detection in 2023?!
Really sucks its not weather sealed. Would kinda be un usable outside for half the year on the N. west coast.
Is it worth it over the XS-10, I wonder, and then I think omg double the battery 2:52
is the lens rectilinear ?
Yes because it is not a fisheye lens.
Do you think this is a good replacement for the Fufjifilm x100v?
No. This is essentially a video camera that shoots stills. The only advantage that this has for stills is the ibis.
If you aren't interested in video, there isn't really a reason to consider this over other options.
I was on a few back order lists before the X summit for the x100v. I cancelled them all and preordered this. I was going to use the x100v for photo and video and it wouldn’t have been ideal. This is a way better option for a small hybrid setup
The X100V has a fixed lens. That makes the camera more compact (plus I believe inbuilt ND filter), but with the S20 you can put any lens on it you want. They are really different cameras with different feels & size & dials, but with respect to process, the S20 would have to kill it with the new processor with new focus engine, fantastic new focusing modes, battery life, video capability. It depends what you want to move up to.
@@balboa0621 Wouldn't be for professional photography - I recently sold my Canon 600D and all lenses, so now I am cameraless (pandemic hit me hard, had to.) I'm now able to purchase but the x100V is obviously impossible to get anywhere. I could get a X-T5 and a pancake lens, but the difference of price is £2.2k (body and lens I want) vs £1669 (this new body plus same lens).
So I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to get the XS20 and save money, or if it's not much of a replacement for the x100V, thus I should spend more money and go for the X-T5.
@@TheOpenmindStudio the xs20 is very much a video camera. If you aren't going to use the video features much, an xt30ii, xs10, or xe4 are better--and cheaper--options.
Should consider the awesome laowa 9mm zero d manual lens
Better hope he gets a good copy, if not, soft as a pillow even stopped down
@@tjkrueger2655 is that what you got? A bad copy? Mine was tact sharp
@ModestReaction after returning two and testing another I gave up on the copy variation lottery
@@tjkrueger2655 at that point sounds like user error
@@CoveringFish I've used dozens of manual focus lenses, thanks... I know what I'm doing
Z9 is much smaller.
❤😂🎉
Very average EVF and stabilization has been confirmed. It's a no no.
Great work on the video but the camera is nothing special.
Don't care about video!!!!
Hey let’s make a camera that records 4K. And let’s convince them to purchase a stupid fan accessory because it overheats. Fuji has failed to deliver……….nothing. The camera isn’t even thermally stable.
If you don't shoot high speed video, with other brands that boast high fps video, high bit depth etc specs, you always have to carry around extra thickness with an inbuilt fan, inlet and exhaust ports in the camera all the time. The fan accessory gives you flexibility for a slimmer body. The fan was made for the X-H2/S but by reports not many people actually need it, but it's there if you do demanding video in hotter environments. There's nothing much to knock about, and the fact they made the same accessory compatible is great. (The camera actually does 6K open gate too.)
Lol what? You can shoot for a long ass time without the fan. This is just for if you’re only shooting video for a long time non stop.
For photography the mobile phone is going to win, actually it is already winning.
nope. moved over from a phone to an actual camera...and i cannot go back. Phone images are just upscaled. Put it on a screen bigger then your phone, the image falls apart...not happening until there's a couple leaps on phone sensors.
@@PhatsoJuggalo806 Well yes, but the vast majority of people look at photos (and videos) on their phones exclusively. It’s sad and frustrating for us photographers - and disastrous for camera manufacturers.
For the same reason there are still laptop and desktop computers in the age of smart phones, there will also continue to be dedicated cameras for the foreseeable future.
Nothing compares to a tool that is custom tailored for the job. Even if my phone had equal image quality to my Fuji, I'd still choose my Fuji for the experience it offers.
The only advantage in photography phones have are that huge DOF they have.
