- First of all, we'd like to say thank you to Josh Clinton (subscriber) for the recommendation on the oil pan, it confirmed what we were already thinking. We did a complete walk around for the custom rolling chassis for the 68 fastback. It has molded suspension, powder coated frame, LS Swap, front disc brakes, narrowed rear end, 14" Tru Spoke wheels, CVF pulley kit, CPP steering box, and much more. We've included the links to some of the items purchased and used in the making! Enjoy! Let us know what you think!

For my 1968 impala,i went with the Holly 302-5 oil pan and it has the most front clearance and the turning radius is perfect!
Good to note! Thanks
I just had to swap my 7L oil pan to a 5L oil pan for the same reason
Glad that the oil pan was figured out and now you can move on to the sanding of the body.
What a headache!!
We started on it, thanks for watching Mr Grabski
What steering box and headers do you have on it. My headers won't clear the box on my 65
😃👍
It’s coming along real nice
Movin right along…..💯
Awesome job fellas.. I recently got a 68’ and I heard it was a little bit more complicated to put hydros on these year impalas because of the front suspension.. also I seen that bar from the frame to the lower control arm. Could you possibly educate me on that?.. dope job and appreciate any help 🫡🙏🏽
They are called front strut rods and keep the suspension balanced in acceleration and braking. The hydraulic cylinders and springs sit pretty much the same as in other vehicles, not much difference.
@@SixFootGiant I appreciate the info bro. I was told that I would be way easier if I cut the front part of the frame and replaced it with big body caddy frame
@kalifas8133 that sounds like an assload more work
@kalifas8133 whoever told you that does not know lowriders or hydraulics....maybe was trying to finesse you out of your hard earn money.
@@lonestarlows yeah it does, I thought I was gonna be in over my head
Awesome work bro...Following the build from Sydney Australia. Recently just purchased a 68 ragtop from Pahrump Nevada she'll be arriving here next month. So thanks for the informative vlogs as I'll be doing a frame off resto within the year
Subscribed ❤️💪🏾
Awesome. Thanks for watching lots more work to come
Those 2 body bushings that sit up top between the rear arches..did those come with the rest of the body bushings? I bought all new body bushings for a custom and it didn't have those 2 im talking about!
Came as a kit,,yes
How much would it cost to do a frame restoration?
Hey what header are you using
🖤
Where can I find a chassis for 1968 chevy impala convertible?
That might be hard to find
About how much does something like this cost, i mean the whole restoration? Got a 68 myself and was thinking of getting mine done since i got nowhere to do it myself
Alot of variables to consider. You will spend 3x as much paying someone to build a car
Gm parts made in Mexico or Canada 😎
