Never knew yall had this channel so I'm so happy to be watching. Never duck hunted but listen to The Duck Call room and Unashamed podcast all the time.
@@cwill114 I have had a broken firing pin that slam fired a shell when it went into battery. Mechanical things break, including safeties, sears, firing pins, etc. Not pointing your gun at someone is not a frivolous safety rule. Anyone does it while hunting with me, they get a lecture.
@@warrenhicks6120 I’m not ignoring that fact. Believe me, I’m always a fan of muzzle awareness. I’m just saying these guys have spent thousands of days in the field hunting and no injuries. In addition, they are hunting with modern equipment. Not a 1940 era M1 garand.
@@cwill114 my broken firing pin was in my Beretta 300 series. The broken piece was stuck so that the firing pin protruded from the bolt. When the bolt release button was pressed, the gun slam fired. Luckily pointed in a safe direction. While shooting trap, the guy next to me had the se thing happen to him with his Beretta 690 series trap gun. Probably 100k rounds through that gun. Mechanical failures occur, but safe gun handling can prevent tragedy. Don't be complacent.
You might have already done a video on this, but would you use duck calls for same sex or opposite sex? For instance, would you use a triple threat for a mallard hen, a mallard drake, or just mallards in general?
Either one works. On a windy day, or even a calm day, a mallard hen call is going to work 99% of the time. I would say that should be your go too. I only use a mallard drake whistle on calmer days, or when the ducks are finishing. So, either one works, but a hen call is going to work in more situations.
This is gonna be goood pls do something in oklahoma were people can meet yall not just oklahoma a lot of states yall would make good money and it would be asome if yall do doint forget oklahoma lol
