Of course you can. Buy firearms and practice. Those three would have been killed right there in front of the door or close by. The police would've had to scrape their dead bodies off my porch and I'd sit there and talk shit the whole time and be thankful and grateful that I had firearms and knew how to use them to protect my family. A man is not a man if he can not protect his loved ones. We must do what it takes to preserve our own family. The strong survive and we become better and better over time. That's fucked up that the guy couldnt even protect himself or his family and now his kids will be traumatized for years and have to go through all kinds of pain before they can get back to normal. Killing is straight up wrong. But sometimes it is necessary to prolong our life and the lives of our loved ones that aren't able to defend themselves.

They could’ve checked the cameras noticed they were armed and breaking in and lit up the door wounding 1-2 sending the others fleeing. An AR chambered in 5.56 with a standard 30 round mag could’ve saved their lives.

It’s sad that this happened. I knew Esther, personally. I went to visit her with my family a few times and we got pretty close. She was my family’s close friend. We wish we would’ve known sooner than finding out on the news. She and her partner will be remembered. Her kids were in my grandmas care for a while, now I don’t really know where they are now. The world is a very cruel place. I went back on this video to recall my memories of that day.

People should be allowed to carry hand guns around their waist in their own home at all times. I do not see the sense in locking them away in a safe when home invaders could easily burst into your home like in this video, so where is the sense in locking your weapon up. Its different when you leave your home to shop etc, then It's common sense to lock the weapon in a safe until you return home. I live in Glasgow, Scotland and home invasions in Britain have risen to a dangerous level in the last few years, yet out gutless politicians are too afraid to bring in a law that would allow home owners to defend their families and property by ANY means they think is appropriate. We should all be allowed to carry hand guns on our own property to protect ourselves at all times. It's okay for the likes of our unelected PM to be against having a law like this as she is protected 24/7 by a few armed bodyguards, even when she is eventually thrown out of Downing Street she will still have armed bodyguards protecting her and her hubby for the rest of their life. I believe once they are out of Downing Street they should be on their own, and if they still want bodyguards then she should pay for them out of her own pocket, and not by the taxpayers who are not allowed the same kind of protection from the police.

Lets say you have an AR 15, what difference does it make. If 3 people are shooting at you and its you shooting back, you aren't going to take them all on. It is still bringing a gun to a gun fight. Theres a reason why you can't just send in solo police officers in against 3 people just because he has an AR 15. Do you think the SWAT would send in entire squads of AR 15 armed members to combat 1 guy if they were somehow powerful enough to allow 1 person to take down 3 others?

I assume majority of people have a safe for their gun so it doesn't get stolen in case they're away, which is when most robberies take place, as you said people keep their rifles in a safe, not because they are unused, but because they're not being used at that moment.

To each their own, some people don't like guns and some do and that's the beauty of America because people can make that choice wether to own/carry one or not. I guess that same question can be said about "how would the police be able to help you in this situation if the phone is in the next room" and the answer is obvious.
