I liked his banter with groves the other day, just looking at George and saying "I don't think you could beat him, I reckon I could" about Canelo and he did it again about someone else. But the both just carried on smiling and talking lol good seeing them as mates..
Yes the Cobra doesn't throw his thong into the ring with his hotel keys on them for AJ pick up like others do .. .. Got to be honest about the fight and Mr Froch is ? My eyes saw Joshua slightly worried of getting clocked on the rebound by one of Franklins weak counter punches.🥊
I’m afraid I agree with Superlancashire.Joshua just reminds me of a modern day Frank Bruno.A big man, who should be bullying his opponents, yet gets outthought and outboxed. That first loss to Andy Ruiz was so damaging and even though he beat him in the rematch, that put doubts in so many boxing experts minds. But there’s no question the Usyk losses have damaged Joshua. His meltdown after the second loss was embarrassing. While I’m no fan of Fury and Wilder, I just can’t see Joshua beating either of them. He’d need to change his mindset and his style of fighting.Wilder has a vicious punch, and could have knocked out Fury in their first fight, but Fury recovered.I couldn’t see Joshua recovering from the sort of one/two that floored Fury.
Spot on analysis imo. He just jabbed away as usual but no follow up. Looks more concerned about getting hurt himself than hurting his opponent. Kept hearing from the like of Bellew how he was training doing 200 punches per round. Saw none of it. Just reverted back to the old AJ
Froch the legend ......love him or hate him the guy speaks with passion and high boxing knowledge ......yeah he loves to speak about his own fights a bit, 80 thousand fans and all that but that's his thing right.......guys a legend .....
Even on Sky, Froch is honest. Not a yes man, he’s grown on me over the years. He’s right with his assessment, Wilder would leave AJ in an ambulance and no one wants to see that. Fury would just toy with him and finish him with non stop punches late. Can also see Joyce beating him relatively easily. There’s a few others who’d fancy their chances in their tonight after watching that fight.
@@bladerunner16 He 100% beats this AJ. Wilder always lands at some point, even on Fury on numerous occasions who is MUCH slicker than AJ, he likely lands and stops AJ inside 3.
@Timbuck Two I'm not sure, if Joshua keeps his hands up & can avoid the big right hand (let's be honest that's all Wilder really has) then he has a good chance. AJ is far superior technically but its all about confidence.
Franklyn deserves more credit here, he’s never been stopped and took punches that would have flattened most top 10 heavyweights. He might not look dangerous but he’s as tough and durable as they come a bit like Andy Ruiz.
@Upper Westside Gunn no one struggles with shorter fighters. There might be some things that are harder to deal with. But being shorter has way more cons than pros. Fury has koed all the small fighters he’s faced.
That bang on the head that Ruiz did in the first fight has stung AJ. I also believe AJ trying to be the “people’s champ” kind of makes him not his initial bruising self. It’s like he just wants to be nicey nicey whereas all he needs to do is go back to the fighting when he first started ….
Spot on again mr F!. There is definitely something missing from AJ at the moment although I think Franklin may be a bit more durable than people give him credit for a bit like Parker used to be a few years ago.
You can never deny the swagger Froch has, talks so much sense... Great fighter and pundit too. Ruiz definitely carved a piece of AJs soul out of him, he's never been the same since Ruiz rinsed him the first time around.
Since everybody is talking about performance... Is AJ vs Franklin better than Whyte vs Franklin - Yes Is the performance better than what we saw with Fury vs Derek - Yes Again I understand people's expectations, but Franklin is not a slush after all. Yeah he’s not the same anymore,he’s tentative you can see he don’t fully commit to shots anymore and if he does it’s single shots not punches in bunches like before,he used to be a good mixer of shots and have tight nice powerful combos before on the inside but he’s gun shy now

I've always felt the same. It all goes back to the first Ruiz fight. I swear you can see AJ having flashbacks to that fight when he's in the ring.
