It's important to note that the last boss does HP damage, not realy resolve or inspiration. So if you have a squishy character with 3.5k hp, even if you stack 1000 inspiration she can one shot you. I learnt it the hard way...
I wanna add, that, in general, having 2 or even 3 max resolve on boss kill relics will help you with sanctums immensely early on. You get extra resolve from mini-boss encounters on the room and you also get double resolve reward from second floor boss. Having even 1 (which i do for now) allows you take pacts much more safely and fish for a lot of major boons or double boons from them ALSO, currently sanctum is still bugged, Lucia will always have coins to experience relic, sanctum was really great on leveling form 99 to 100, and that def helped, tho i got to know that later. I've been running with ele molten strike this whole league and lost, like, only 1 sanctum to resolve running 1 max resolve relic.
Hey, just wanted to say, i was surprised by the amount of relevant, detailed info (like not being able to die from a -100 resolve room for example) you condensed into this video. Very informative, way better than any other video on Sanctum i've seen.
Some addition to the last boss the charged beam does dmg while charging and sometimes even a little bit after releasing the big one so try to move a bit more than you "need to". I had hard problems with the red wave phase and i found it much easier to run towards the wave and move along with it. You can also lure her to the edge of the room with her jump because to do the wave phase she has to move to the middle of the room so it gives you some extra time to potential kill her before the phase. And most importantly afflictions that say monster have more dmg/life or cast speed also afflict bosses, I had the problem that i took the 30% more castspeed affliction and the last boss would do like 10 waves.
Appreciate the video. Still learned stuff even tho i played sanctum league and ran sanctums (all seeing eye overwriting all room effects for example, reveal relic for 1 room always though those are 2 rooms only). Personally i find the 3rd Boss a lot harder than Lycia since Lycia does an attack and just takes it after. While the 3rd Boss jumps offscreen spawning a bullethell, spawns lasers that are semi random and rushes towards you with a frontal cleave. And all that in the small corridor. For people that didnt know it 2nd Phase Lycia does stops dealing resolve damage. So even if low on resolve/inspiration you can safely go against her and tank a few hits, granted your build is tanky enough.

I dont know what it is but when she does the rotating laser beam it comes out really fast and she is turning really fast. It keeps wiping me. Are there afflictions that make her attacks come out super fast?
I went with a bit cheeper strat and took 1 large relic (2x2 or 1x4) that has Maximum Resolve % and Gain Maximum Resolve on Bosskill. This let me consistantly take "loose 50% of maximum resolve" from pacts (when your build is strong enough) and still be safe since I gain Resolve during the run still. The MAJOR boons u can get from "loose 50% maximum resolve" can be game changing. Especially if u get the "Sanctum is fully revealed" boon. It makes the runs more enjoyable cause some major boons can be super fun to just have. Like "gain no minor afflictions", this one makes the whole run fun cause u can more or less take every Dark Pact with no downside etc. Very fun! Also mini-bosses that you can find during the run (not floor bosses but room bosses) trigger the gain extra resolve from killing bosses mechanic. This strat also works with "cannot recover resolve" since it increases maximum resolve instead of recover resolve!
Moderately sure this wasn't mentioned in the video (sorry if it was), but there's also a strat where you get ~85+% chance to duplicate relics dropped, which guarantess that e.g. the unique relics lycia drops are always doubled, and you sell the relics for profit.
In the find the exit room noticed you ran past them, fyi there are yellow chests at the potential exits that don't contain a door which are the same as the end of room chests with 30+ coins, could be worth grabbing if you come across them
@Empyriangaming Also i learn from 500 sanctums 2 more thinks about dank packt. if im in floor 4 and dont have mirror of fortune and have divine and have choice +2 boons -50% resolve and next one is like +1 major boon -50% resolve i pick +1major boon check packt pick divine orbs from packt ;D and take +2 boons there is chance to proc mirror of fortune, and also one important think if i scouting and seeing Golden smoke or decept mirror which is on the same floor and I don't want to take it and there is a dark packt nearby which contains so it will NEVER be there golden smoke AND deceptive mirror because it's on the same floor but it's on the fountain, for example.
I found it to be really usefull. I never would figure out by myself that merchant should be your priority first. I would always pick a merchand debuff before some other buffs to the enemies.
just finished my first ever sanctum today... got a merchant on the last node before the final boss and bought a boon that made me not loose any resolve for one room, so yeah, immortality is awesome guys :D

I don’t comment often but just wanted to say keep being you empy, always such good content not to mention well curated clip videos, you’re such a big part of the success of this game.
I think the relics that give merchants two additional choices are way more powerful and way more profitable in the end. If you have 14 choices on the merchant you can buy reduced merchant prices, more gold and more non unique relique effect very reliably. By the end of the run you end up having all the boons and on average about 5 - 7 mayor boons (which often includes all-seeing-eye). You can now almost always double a reward of your choice because of the vast amount of merchant choices you always get the mirror of fortune and sometimes even the mayor boon that duplicates up to 3 rewards. Note that rewards can be duplicated more than once. The second huge profit maker with this strategy is, after getting all the boons (except for those you can have multiple times) the merchant now offers relics instead of boons which sometimes includes relics that are worth multiple divines.
There are other relics which are worth a couple of divines even without being 2x merchant or 2x reveal. T2 merchant + t2 reduced merchant cost can roll on ilvl 83 and ist still worth 3 - 4 divines.@@Empyriangaming
I think it would have been slightly more helpful if you had done the run with the starter relics or no relics. However, its the best guide for this I have seen so far. Nice video. I didn't play sanctum league and just got back into the game. I have almost a full quad tab of tomes. I had been debating on selling them or learning the mechanic and running them myself. I tried twice very early on in the league and failed both. I may do this after my next set of atlas farming mats are used up. Because I will have 3 apoth cards by then and I either get a MB with gambles and continue playing or I lose em all and quit the league.
I'd point out that one of the guards can explode corpses and I got one shotted by it. It's very sneaky as well. Very scary with +50% monster damage. The best defense relic is 2x2 box or 1x4 inspiration on affliction + resolve on fountain and rest inspiration on the start + 1 room reveal.
glad to see this guide. Sanctum is just for some type of builds though. Imagine rf jugg doing sanctum. Or boneshatter. Or absolution trying to get minions up with its slow cast speed. Also all low end builds stand no chance.
Yeah defense and recovery doesn’t matter. Sanctum is reward “not getting hit” it doesn’t reward “tanking hit”. They implies that back when they first introduced sanctum.

Youll never know what you are doing :) I suggest ignoring absolutely everything you don’t know, until it becomes interesting, which is when you go and learn that specific thing. I suggest that because its probably extremely overwhelming
Do you know how area level affects loot? Can you get divines at like area level 75? I would assume that changes the rarity but some things in this game are unintuitive.
That’s a great video. I’m a bit tired of MF so I might switch my TS to big damage and run the tomes I farmed. I think I need another Apo to drop to buy a 3 flasks corrupted MB and I’ll be good to go. :)
I really wanted to get into sanctum, ive ran two didnt get anything good and alot of shit afflictions... its just too much downsides for me to enjoy. I didnt think id like tota much but ive actually been running the shit out of that past few days and making good currency lol you get good item drops besides just raw divines. I got a 2 stack of nurses and 2 diff tats worth 3.2div last night
tbh is never good to choose any other rewards than divine mirror sextants and exalts if you duplicate even 1 div you made like 1500fusings or any other currency because from that 1 div you can buy so much more. IF you duplicate more than 1 div its much better even if you duplicate it like 1/7 sanctum is still worth
Ye I think he would not picked those rewards if he was running them normaly, he just took them for the sake of it. TLDR is if you only plan on running few sanctums here and there then pick whatever rewards you want, but if you gonna spam sanctums with relics then only go for the big stuff.
biggest question is now how to run sactum,but how to get a bow build with lightning speed and one shot everything,this is blah blah,you have to careful,i dont,because i one shot them and they are not even know wtf was going on 🤣

Don't know if you knew this, but with the 4 fireballs thing, there's a platform you can flame dash or whatever to, right in the start of the thing

For what I can infer, the laser appear first, than pulse. The pulse is the damage. But, agree, that Boss is harder.

Has srs been nerfed since you have to be closer to the bosses/ mini bosses?
IMPORTANT THING! This Red Fog hitbox sometimes bigger than walls, so u can come close to the wall and just die sadge

you dont need to 1 shot enemy,you just need to survive the enemy hit and kill them decently fast like 5 sec max
