I love it. "My son thought that his name was Captain Jack Sparrow Savvy". An old interview, but still lovely to see again. He's a good man, good pirate. ;)
i adore the way he talks about his family - hes so sweet and obviously loves his family and wife with all of his heart. Of all the people in the world, hes probably one of the most deserving of a good life. "oh i get it. I was an idiot. sorry." lol
johnny depp is the best actor in the WORLD!! He has the cutest face and cutest style and cutest laugh, and the BEST acting! You cant get any better then than that.
[[sigh]] I jsut love the way he talks about his kids. Why can't all guys be like that? I mean, they don't even have to look like him, they just have to be that amazingly sweet.
Good for him man….not selling out must have been tough but the range which he delected us with was pleasure…especially growing up watching his movies…the art-form was so varied to the point of enigmatic with much beauty yet with no taint of awkwardness…Now I see the true reason why he was such a ladies magnet
I think that Johnny has made a huge sacrifice in personal fulfillment and by taking and doing the Pirate role of Captain Jack Sparrow and I for one have really appreciated him doing it, because he always said he would never do any roles that he didn't want to and just for money either...and so now he has these hugely entertaining mainstream and family entertainment films also to his credit and I think its great!!! However, I don't really know, it is all conjecture and I haven't talked to him about it.
be a benefit for those who have kids (in terms of attractiveness). I can't fully capture it in words, but there is something very powerfully attractive in seeing a man who is good with children. But, this was in men I had already identified as attractive physically, intellectually, and morally. I cannot say how much attractiveness came from just the aspect about children, but it is most certainly a plus. This is all of course in a very clinical tone, and many people will individually vary.
@nanananalalala The thing you have to know about Johnny is he was never against commercial success. He was against doing a movie he wasn't passionate about simply for the paycheck. When POTC came out, no one expected it to have anywhere near the success it did. Most thought it was ridiculous to base a movie on a theme park ride. Johnny said yes to Pirates, not because of the money, but because he was excited at the prospect of playing a pirate. The money and popularity that followed was a bonus.
the answer's easy. He said it several times that he loves playing wacky Capt Jack and being in the whole pirateverse. He does them cause he enjoys it. case closed.
@WickedRita Ok, the phone message thing is fair enough. It's a misconception that all De Niro does is gangster movies. Raging Bull, Awakenings, Taxi Driver, Once Upon a Time in America, 1900, King of Comedy, Heat, The Mission, This Boy's Life, Deer Hunter, and New York New York are great films (some are even considered some of the greatest of all time). They have 2 things in common: 1. They're not gangster films. 2. They star Robert De Niro.
LOL. interesting idea. I wonder though, if someone has already been a pirate and a murderer in some past life, would their soul be deserving enough to be reborn in human's body? it's exciting to think about this, Johnny's past lives :)
In “Occupying Chairlifts” a simple rule tweak on inheritance ends up changing the direction and purpose of modern human life! Here’s a fair way to transition forward to where we’re rewarded for cooperating and creating instead of competing and conquering. It's something specific we can demand. If this isnt the best answer, at least we’re thinking about what might be. Are we really just this close to having it work right? Oh yeah, it's a Ski movie! “Occupying Chairlifts” on UA-cam!
@93MickyD2 I got a notification of your comment through my phone, we should blame that! :) No, I don't like senseless comedy like Meet the Parents, but like gangster films a lot less! I barely survived through Johnny's Public Emeny and I only watched it once!
@WickedRita That justification was as weak as saying, "better than watching Jersey Shore", or even, "better than being a holocaust denier." It doesn't prove that 'worshipping' (even if it were intentionally hyperbolic) Johnny Depp isn't bad, it only proves that you believe there is something worse out there. I think we can agree that genocide is universally despicable, but that doesn't mean anything less morally distasteful is acceptable. (no offense, just trying to spark critical analysis)
"Captain Jack Sparrow Savvy" - awwww xD Ahaha.
lol hell ya! 😁
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
I love it. "My son thought that his name was Captain Jack Sparrow Savvy". An old interview, but still lovely to see again. He's a good man, good pirate. ;)

Incredible Johnny Depp....always so kind.
“I was an idiot” 😂
His thoughts is like philosophy but it's had great meaning of current situation in life
Good for him man….not selling out must have been tough but the range which he delected us with was pleasure…especially growing up watching his movies…the art-form was so varied to the point of enigmatic with much beauty yet with no taint of awkwardness…Now I see the true reason why he was such a ladies magnet

~Closing to me is Johnny Depp's Sam from Benny and Joon I really mean it.~
awww. when he said 'it was the cutest thing in the world'.
That would be so cool to be little kids and be able to say "Dad, talk like Jack Sparrow, because you're him."
You just stay there and melt in sexy and I'll be behind the computer staring. =P

Odd, he speaks alot in this interview.
In many interviews for "Alice in Wonderland" there are always long pauses, "ums, buts" and "yeahs" everywhere.
I think that Johnny has made a huge sacrifice in personal fulfillment and by taking and doing the Pirate role of Captain Jack Sparrow and I for one have really appreciated him doing it, because he always said he would never do any roles that he didn't want to and just for money either...and so now he has these hugely entertaining mainstream and family entertainment films also to his credit and I think its great!!! maybe not a bad thing but he looks more like an artist to me :P and he really is one at that so it all just works together :D
I LUV U JOHNNY DEPP
His son is really cute thinking like that: Captain Jack Savy!
Haha, omg I love him sooo much :p
I actually love him.
I think he'd be an awesome dad

@syleiling That is true, it also depends on the interviewer.
And he was younger and didn't drink as much😂
Thnx

'savvy?' means something like "do you understand"
@WickedRita Ok, the phone message thing is fair enough.

@EMOJYTTE no. I dunno what's with the silly messages. somebody's making a prank.
LOL. interesting idea. I wonder though, if someone has already been a pirate and a murderer in some past life, would their soul be deserving enough to be reborn in human's body?
it's exciting to think about this, Johnny's past lives :)

@paradigmentropy depends on what everyone means when talking about "worship" Probably our interpretations are different.
R.I.P Johnny, Heaven are so rich now. :'(
@mintypatch09 what kinda things did the fans do?
@93MickyD2 I got a notification of your comment through my phone, we should blame that! :) No, I don't like senseless comedy like Meet the Parents, but like gangster films a lot less! I barely survived through Johnny's Public Emeny and I only watched it once!
@mintypatch09 cool! Did you talk to him?
Can someone help me?
What's the first question?
What does he say at 0:44 to 0:47?
An last at 3:29 to 3:31?
Thanks
@saintstrawman lol funniest least thought out response i have seen in a long time :P
HE ISNT DEAD.
He did the 4th Pirate's movie for money!
@Mrslovett112 most of them are. but they just don't get the chance to show it
@Jerrk64 why you doin this?
'ok i get it. i was an idiot.....sorry' lol
@edwebo as I said before, if my guess was wrong, I don't understand @MrsLovett112's question. that's all.
haha...that was funny...captain jack sparrow savey????....very funny...and cute...
Now I really want to know which character is most like himself in his opinion.
He once said that his characters in Edward Scissorhands, The Libertine and Public Enemies are like him and Willy Wonka isn't like him...
@edwebo do you not like people having kids without getting married? otherwise I don't understand the comment.
what have you been looking at? pics of a decade ago?

@Jenny436609 Obviously you've never seen any Robert De Niro movies.
Stop this R.I.P. shit... You scare the shit out of me.. I couldnt stand this world without him
