I've got the Traverse pillow, nice but as a side sleeper I didn't find it quite thick enough and ended up folding a fleece up to put under it. Decent pillow for sleeping on your back though 👍
I'm a side sleeper too and it didn't give me any issue at the time of the review. I'll see how it fairs over time and maybe do a follow up in a later vid. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment, and for the great tip about elevating the pillow for more support!
Nice review. I have been looking for a pillow for a while. In the past I have just use a dry bag filled with something. I think a dedicated pillow is the way forward 👍🏻
I tried the dry bag thing one time. Never again! Even a small pillow like this really helps you get a better sleep, and after a long hike all you need is a good meal, a shelter and a darned good sleep. Anything that might enhance that sleep is worth trying imo! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
Nice review Daniel, I too found the aluft a bit meh, I think its more of a travel pillow for use when you are sitting upright, like on a plane etc. Good to see some alternatives, as I think a lot of pople get instantly drawn to the aluft.
The Aluft (and other based on the same design) seem to be the default pillow of choice for many, including me. I don't think alternative options really get enough time in the spot light. I've seen few that I'd like to give a try, this OEX being the first.
Aw mate, no way could I sleep without a pillow. Being a side sleeper I need that support. I’m guessing you’re a back sleeper? I could get to sleep without a pillow but I wouldn’t stay asleep for long.
Nice one I like it mate. I reckon if someone made one about 25 -30 % bigger all round it would be the perfect pillow for many of us non ultra light backpackers. 👍
Dave is doing his job properly, borking at everything that moves. That's what doggos do best.
He certainly was. Going mental at imaginary squirrels
Nice review.
Thank you buddy, appreciate the feedback!
Like it--when it holds the head up--
It's a flat lay, but very comfortable

Looks a decent little pillow.
I like a shallow pillow I can sleep fine without one really.
I've got the vango one from go out doors does the job 👍✌

I’ve just recently got one from Naturehike that is roughly as you describe and is pretty darned good.

Thank you for watching, I am glad you appreciate the video. More reviews are coming?
@@KernowCamps I hope so :)
An jacket will do ... For replacement of that pillow .
I have tried using clothing in a dry bag, but find it really uncomfortable though I understand a lot of people are more than happy doing that.
