This is the first watch review (I've seen at least 30) that I've seen do this. Incredibly useful info to most buyers. Hope they follow up with the "many strap showcase" video.
@@manwithllama even though they’re a watch strap company, the U50 is very obviously compatible with a lot of straps, and it’s great that we have a video like this to prove it lol
If I didn't recently become the proud owner of an Omega Seamaster, I would be seriously considering this watch.. (also, it would have saved me a lot of money too... ) It looks fantastic, and ticks all the boxes for me,, Damn you Sinn,,, lol... Shame I can't afford another luxury watch.....
Very nice but perhaps a little expensive. looks great on the H-link. It looks like such a fit for purpose watch, the red, white and black really works imo.
I would definitely not call this watch understated and subdued. But anyway, I'm not really a fan of Sinn but this watch definitely appeals to me. I think the watch looks best on the bracelet
Love the U50 but man the bracelet is so cheap with that clasp. Definitely get the rubber strap. Also, much prefer the base model with bead blasted bezel. The SDR looks too much like a kids toy watch.
I still think it looks a bit too much like one of those old fashioned railroad traffic-lights... granted: I had the larger version in my hands a few weeks ago and it is surprisingly subtle "in the flesh". But for the tooliest of toolwatches, I'd still go for the Sinn EZM3.
Compare the Sinn u1 and U50 to this microbrand Obris Morgan Aegis whom was released earlier than the U50 and you will notice that Sinn borrowed many of their design in the U50 from the Aegis which is a better watch in my opinion than the U50 ...search it guys
I prefer watch hands to have a more distinctive hour hand, so as the minute hand passes over, it is unable to obscure the hour hand completely. It bugs be when the minute hand obscures the hour hand completely... The hour hand should be fatter, or shaped differently
I like Sinn and this seems like a good extension to their range but for €2000+ you are in a whole other level than “beater plus”. I have a very nice Montblanc with a Sellita SW300 which cost c.€1200 so I know how good that basic movement is...I can’t see much justification for this being much more expensive
@@rockinginafreeworld3256 well the good thing is how friendly and open watch people are in allowing other opinions to be shared 😂. I said I like this but I don’t see it as a €2k plus watch....
I love the looks of that watch but 41mm is just a little too small. I can't do anything under 42mm unless it's a dress watch. It really is a sharp looking watch though...needs crown guards.
It is a 500$ watch being sold for 3000$ ! That's a german steal in my opinion , Sinn prices are ridiculous, and the fans are making them grow more greedy :/
@@niandra92 well believe me friend when i say the train didn't leave me behind, i bought a micro brand " orbis morgan aegis' which is everything you said except it is not a Sinn and i didn't even need to wait for the release of this U50 cause orbis nailed everything right since the beggining ,they released Aegis at the same time Sinn U1 started gaining hype btw watch collectors and later on was replaced with Sinn U50 cause customers complained about the chunkiness of the U1 .and Orbis have a new release called Port ....dig it. Their watches are trust worthy .
Dunno... it's the SW300, not the 200, plus it's a "top" grade and very well regulated. From what I hear, these things usually run well within COSC-specs when Sinn is done regulating them. And as long as the accuracy is excellent, I think I'd rather have the mass produced Sellita that's relatively cheap and easy to maintain.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that your reviews almost always include strap showcases. It's incredibly valuable when considering a watch.

@@goldenarm009 Oh wow thanks for pointing that out. Welp… that explains a few things. Smart marketing. Got me at at least…

I don't need a diver or tough watch, but it looks really cool and tempting.
I think we all feel the same with this one :D

The Omega Seamaster sounds great John! - The Sinn really is a stunning piece though :D
I listened to some of your podcasts today, well done, keep it up!
Thanks Cedar! - We appreciate your support :D
Does so many things, rugged and tough, splashes of red make the hands and dial pop against the flat black dial! Exceptional watch.
Agreed Jason! Which was your favourite strap option?
@@watchgecko Can't pick between the vintage Nato and the zuludiver waffle, both are absolutely on point
In two years, I'll buy this perfect tool watch...
Just bought this in the steel gray model. Can't wait for my first 'real' watch.
I ordered the steel bezel on a rubber strap a few months ago, will get it in January 2021....can’t wait!!
Well, now this is my new grail watch, thanks a lot.
That's great to hear! We feel exactly the same :D
One of the greatest diver of 2020! 🔥
Great looking watch, the colour of the steel is amazing, looks like titanium.. Thanks for the review.
Thanks David!
I love my U50 SDR, also my U1 SE, but i may sell it after all- Thanks for the Video! Cool straps!
Very nice but perhaps a little expensive. looks great on the H-link. It looks like such a fit for purpose watch, the red, white and black really works imo.
It really is a great piece Desmond!
Great review, I want one and am now convincing myself, slowly, to buy a U50.
Great dimensions and beautiful piece!
We have to agree with you there, What was your favourite strap option?
WatchGecko I liked the bracelet it come on and the black rubber one you showed.
Boom💥....Tool watch grail.
Definitely!
Need to try one on, looks amazing on rubber.
That is a must! If you get the chance make sure to let us know what you think in person.
Beautiful...and that strap with red stiches is a must

Great watch. Oh for a blasted case on the Sinn 104 for Europe.

We've been hearing that a lot! Thanks for checking out our review Barron.
Love my U50 SDR!
What is the router noise like?
It sounds like hundred-dollar bills coming out of an ATM machine.
My grail watch! 🤟🤨
You're not the first person to say that! I think Sinn is onto a winner with this one :D
Sinn needs to add some sliding adjustment system to their metal bracelet clasps. Then their watches would be an absolute knockout.
They do...they have 3 microadjustments on a slider.
Great watch!
Thanx!!!
super tempting...
Do it :D

Would love this watch with the arrow hands... 😔 Not a fan of these thick ones.

Ooooooo that’s a nice one 🤔
Definitely!

Thank you!
Wish it's titanium instead of stainless steel

I still do not like these nato straps. Why people are making such a fuss about them remains strange to me.

I’m so glad to hear this- could you show me some other 500m, 11mm case, hardened metal dive watches at that price?

German stainless steel. From the town of Germany in China.
what do you mean?
Interesting, but a bit overpriced for a sellita movement, at least in OZ.

Too bad Sinn bracelets are rubbish.
@Heywood Jablome yes I have. The 104 with SS bracelet. The clasp doesn't belong on such a nice piece.
