This is how brainwashed the society is... We manage to write articles about how pigs going to a slaughterhouse have been SAVED, and are SAFE. I mean, what the actual fuck?!
Been vegan for 2 months now because of you and I feel so much better. I don't get stomach aces after I eat anymore and I get a lot less migraines! Thank you for everything you do!
I've been waiting 34 years for the world to catch up and become vegan. I've learned the hard way that patience is a virtue and that good things come to those who believe and never lose sight of their goal.
As long as there is one person willing to speak out and take a stand against animal slaughter, there is hope. Let us not define ourselves by the selfish behavior of others
America is becoming more Hispanic every day... We Hispanics are programed from birth not to think we a special snowflakes. Soooo I would not say that veganism has a BRIGHT future in the USA. Btw those refried bean? We save our bacon grease to make them extra yummy 😘😁
How could any human see this and not feel something? From a fellow vegan, I just want to say thank you for continuing to live your passion and encouraging enlightenment.
I lived.. basically.. right behind that slaughterhouse for almost 2 years. 'Fearmans Pork' is what it's called. It wasn't until months of living right by it that I realized where the horribly weird and yucky smell AND feeling was coming from. I could literally FEEL it. You can smell ghastly and sour smells especially from the Burlington GO train station and bus stop. It is not just a terrible place, it is a terrible area because that place exists there on Appleby Line. Which... used to be an apple orchard. -.-' One time an employee from the concentration camp spit at my friend when we were peacefully holding signs protesting the place. And sadly, it wins all kinds of 'awards' for being Burlington's "#1" employer. So disgusting
VegAnn I feel the same way, there is so much violence happening in the world and to see someone trying so desperately to stop it is what gives me so much hope for humanity.
This is how I feel, VegAnn. Stories like this break my heart! But you and Emily, and all the compassionate humans I know -- whether from videos, or in person offline -- give me hope. We are in the vast minority, here in 2016. But the lives we save are no less precious for being fewer than we wish we could save. Whenever cruel humans make me feel like giving up (which does happen all too often) I remember the animals whom I have helped over the years, and I know I can't ever give up. My impact on this immense planet isn't a large one, but I will never give up doing whatever I can do for every animal whom I can help. And I am forever grateful for all the other compassionate people whom I have met over the years, who are also doing whatever they can. Humans are capable of such evil; but many of us are capable of such compassion that extends to ALL beings, not merely our own. That is the one and only thing that will save us as a species.
▶︎ *There is NO excuse. NO justification. Face the truth. This is what you pay for. YOU can change this. It doesn't have to be this way.* ▶︎ *SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE* ▶︎ *Thank You to those activists at the scene. Thank you.*
Bite Size Vegan Emily! You matter too! To us, to your family, you are important! Please consider vadication! Many doctors, humanity workers, soldiers have similar feelings as you now, you are not alone. Can't help nobody if you are ill yourself. You didn't allow yourself any rest after your friend died :'( Please, I know you feel defeated now, but you too have to recharge your batteries somehow or it will consume you!
Honestly I'm not even surprised by ANY evil acts anymore I've seen it all. Nothing surprises me and I'm just gonna do what needs to be done and keep spreading veganism
I read the description and started crying.. I can't believe this happened where I grew up and went to school.. when I see pigs I honestly see toddlers or dogs.. did they really walk the pigs from Burlington to toronto? they were offered to be taken to a sanctuary and these sick fucks STOLE 42 PRECIOUS LIVES and fucking threw them away? that's the worst it can get. I'm disgusted right now more than ever
I'm sitting in McDonald's disgusted with myself....I know the TRUTH and have still chosen to put my blinders back on..I haven't eaten any land animals since November 22,2016...but that is Not enough. I don't want to eat suffering and murder ANYMORE!!!!!!! Damn it!!! This video has ripped my blinders off!! You are an ANGEL of LOVE and MERCY..and TRUTH. ❤🐖🐄🐮🐂🐏🐐🐎
I know how sickening, upsetting and infuriating this can be but we can't lose hope. Never stop promoting the message. Your activism is so important. All vegan activism is crucial. Even when it seems like the barriers are insurmountable, we can't give up just yet. The animals and planet need us to continue fighting for them! 👊
Some of the things she is doing are the same things I used to do, you can't change the mind of someone that doesn't have a mind. What you can do is change behaviors. Earthlings works because its negative reinforcement. you stop eating animals so you don't have any thoughts about how whats on your plate was brutally murdered. You got to realize what you are up against, and humanity isn't what it says it is, its depraved. Its up to you to not be depraved yourself, as that's a dark road to go down, it eats people whole and spits them out Donald Trump supporters. You can pat people on the head for selecting the vegan option, thats positive reinforcement, or learn the more subtle art of negative reinforcement, but don't expect to change minds. Environmental activists do this with non-gmos, as gmos aren't necessarily bad for you to eat, but they are horrible in a million other ways, like the mass suicide of Indian farmers when Monsanto sold them magic beans that didn't sprout. gmo salmon will obliterate any competition, they are voracious eating machines. but people live in their egos, they don't care about Indian farmers or native fish, so you go for negative reinforcement that may or may not be entirely factual.
Even as a vegan I have the propensity to numb myself to the suffering. To turn a blind eye, because my safe vegan bubble is more comforting than the reality. But that's exactly what allowed me to eat meat for the first 23 years of my life. So recently I've learned not to turn a blind eye, and to stop myself from going numb to it. I cry, I hurt, I feel rage. But then I pull myself together and fucking do something about it. By refusing to look away, I've gained determination and strength for them, and the courage to speak out. I hope everyone watching this can understand what I mean, by the end of the video. Don't pause it, don't look away, don't switch to another video. Watch it, let your love of justice and compassion fill you with outrage, and act on that. And if your determination ever wanes, just go to a vigil in your local area, and look into their eyes, and you'll quicken your resolve all over again.
I hope I get to that stage you are at. I have yet to watch a full video. So much pain and agony felt in the sounds of those innocent beings. It shoots through me like daggers. I need thicker armor.
On UA-cam, you can search for "The best speech ever (by Gary Yourofsky)" and for the movie "Earthlings" which will both have a great impact on your decision to help the animals. I watched both videos after quite exactly one year of being vegan (not just eating vegan but being vegan) but I started to think that maybe, it is not enough to be vegan if you want to help the animal holocaust come to an end, especially after I watched those videos... I definitely encourage anyone to speak the truth. It can have so much more of a good impact than simply living vegan yourself. :)
Never be afraid to feel emotions. It is the only thing keeping us from being soulless robots. We must be constantly reminded of the suffering to keep us angry, sad and fueled.
Thank you for educating the public. It's not an easy task fighting for the voiceless. I've been Vegan for 8 months. Its a unique mix but Onision's videos taught me about the horrific numbers. Gary Y's best speech got me really aware. Because of them I found you and you nuggets of info. Thank you for all you do!!! Your videos show just how much you care. I hope you change the world someday. Good Luck!
EMILY. I want you to know that after watching your 30min speech I went began immediately because I saw what eating/using animals does to them and I do not want participate in that any longer. THANK YOU FOR OPENING MY EYES !!!!1!1!!11!!
Chrissy D it's simple. I got desensitized. When I went vegan I just started to care about animals as for other humans. But I can't care for all humans, nor for all earthlings. I can do my own thing, help someone, but I know I can't save the world. There is natural cycle of life and dead. We need to celebrate death. It natural. But yes, killing others for food in the time of plenty is just wrong. So I am vegan. So I watch many die. Humans, animals. All dead. Not by my knife. Not when I can easily prevent it. That's the way I remain sane.
It's hard being vegan. It's harder to tolerate the people who knowingly end these poor animals' lives. No animal or human deserves that. This is the only chance we have at life, right now, here on Earth. This video made me so sick.
Emily, Thank you so much for your wisdom and empathy. You helped me go vegan. Fish was the hardest thing for me to give up and by watching your video on what it does to the environment stuck with me. Thank you so much for making a difference in my life and others. I was able to help my boyfriend go vegan because of you. Your videos always bring tears to my eyes and have given me a lot of knowledge to combat skeptical friends and family. I hope you always continue to make these life changing videos. They are saving so many lives. THANK YOU.
THANK YOU so much. This means the wold to me. And THANK YOU for staying open and listening and changing. That's more than 99.9999% of people are willing to do. Much, much love
You're welcome, Emily! Thank you for all that you do. You are truly a beautiful person inside and out!! More people will change with your help. Some people just take longer than others to have everything take effect. :)
***** Eww! Good Point. I was a huge sushi fan. It's not difficult anymore though. Especially when I heard of all of the other animals that get harmed in the process. I'm glad I can bring that up to others now. Thanks :)
I'm in tears watching your video. I've been vegan for 3 years and an activist, but the world we live in never stops to disappoint me. Thank you for your dedicated work with your channel. The world needs you.
ThisTimeAround Vegan Life with Jen Yeah, but that's not going viral, its somebody posting a boring link on their facebook wall that most people will ignore. I want it to go VIRAL.
Hi Emily, I dont speak english but, please, dont loose ur hope, dont surrender. Because I was eating meat every day few months ago, I was blinded. And look at me now, a new vegan with my eyes open. Dont stop share all u can. One more thing, please GO HOLLIDAYS, YOU REALLY NEED HOLLIDAYS. . . Relax one or two weeks and then come back full of energy. My family and me LOVE YOU EMILY, you and people like you save our lives and change our lifes. Sorry again for my english. GO GO GO !!
Thank you so much! I will never surrender. And THANK YOU for opening your eyes and changing!!! That is such a powerful testimony for others!!! Much much love!!!
I bursted in tears when the pig touched the grass with his nose.. it broke my heart when you said it was propably his first time ever. I cannot understand why they couldn't have been saved. It is brutal and disgusting to murder animals in this way.
i despise being the only vegan i know. ... i detest that my parents, my siblings, my friends.... everyone around me -- are so selfish, so blind, so ignorant, so absolutely careless to the atrocities and care not to change their ways of living... i won't stop educating them. i won't stop being vegan and showing them how much better off i am because of it. i won't stop trying my best to be the change i wish to see. #govegan #veganism #animalrights #animalliberation
Things are changing and Emily is part of the vanguard. I see things changing, nowhere near fast enough but things are changing. Share this video far and wide and maybe it could be a tipping point.
***** acceptance of animal slaughter surely has corrupted societies morals... allowing for the bombing of families. How could we accept the bombing of families if people would not stand for violence towards animals?
I don't really believe we are inherently violent. some are violent and domineering but most are simply apathetic and have a very narrow circle of compassion. people are generally selfish and self centred.
"The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men" Leonardo da Vinci said this over 500 Years ago..hurry up world !! Those innocent souls were murdered and dumped in the bin!!! Your work is highly precious. Please do not lose faith!! The filming is very powerful and hopefully can eventually get the most disensitised human on board....
That is absolutely heartbreaking!! And not letting someone who is begging to take the injured pigs to a sanctuary is just cruel and heartless. Pigs are very loving and intelligent animals. Thank you for everything you do!!
This video was so difficult to watch...I wasn't able to hold back my tears. I too have begun to lose faith in the human race but everyday I read about another person converting to veganism and how they realize how blind they were. Don't lose hope. As tragic as times may seem people are listening and changing, though you may not see it. It's a slow process but your efforts are not going to waste. If anything I'm a living proof of this change, after watching ur videos and Gary's I immediately went vegan and have been for 1 year. Don't lose hope.
Thank you for your kind words and for making the change! That is the ultimate gift to the animals, yourself, the planet... And I will still fight. The alternative is unacceptable.
Bite Size Vegan together vegans will create change! One person at a time. Not quickly enough, but we will get there. Please do not lose hope, you're such a wonderful person and you helped so many others to make the connection!❤️ we will keep speaking the truth, until non vegans can no longer avoid the truth even if they wanted to. The Earth needs more people like you Emily! Yes humans destroy so much and hurt so many animals, but we are also their one last hope. If we stopped speaking up, who will? Take a few days off, heal yourself with nature (so jealous cos Singapore has no nature to speak of). Come back stronger, we still have lots to do!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Love you so much, sending lots of vegan love🌱
The fact that they hide their actions behind a cardboard makes it clear they Know there is something wrong with these actions... I myself never hide behind any cardboard when I eat my bananas.
We live in a fked up world. I wish people could understand this. So many people justify to me why they should eat meat. Ffs. Thanks Emily for your videos.
Hi Emily, I stopped eating meat and animal products from watching you and other vegans on UA-cam I would not call myself a vegan yet but I am on my way I have been plant-based for over 18 months and through me 2 other people have given up eating meat and any form of animal products so keep the faith we can change as the human race and I thank you David 😊
This video made me tear up, had to skip some parts because it was just too heart breaking to watch. Im so happy to know that ive been vegan for nearly 2 years now and dont contribute to this horror.. Thank you so much Emily for sharing this to others to inform them how we can be so cruel to animals just for taste... Thanks you for helping me with my vegan journey as well. Watching your videos always always leaves me with a different perspective on life and inspires me to always be kind to all sentient beings. I love you emily. And thank you..
This is sad and for someone who lived in a family of farmers I remember when I was little I cried to my parents to spare the rabbits, pigs, chickens etc. It was sad to see them die and then ''forced'' to eat them thats why when I stumbled on your channel 4 months ago I became vegan almost immediately. Thank you to anyone who read this and a great video as always Emily.
I cried the whole time. This breaks my heart. I'm so sorry. I'm a new vegan, ever since July 4th this year. This is the BEST thing I've ever done. I have learned so much from you. Don't give up, Emily. XOXOXO
▶︎ SEE description for link to shareable meme image: *This is not an isolated incident of rare cruelty. This is a rare incident of systematic cruelty being thrust into the open.*
Emily, I think you should take a break... You seem to be having an activist breakdown, and it will turn into a burnout if you don't stop... I know that your cause is very, very important, but you can't keep destroying yourself like this! We care about you and we hate to see you like this. And it won't help the animals either: if people start thinking that vegans always suffer, do you really think they will ever want to be one? You can always start making more videos once you start feeling better, or if you insist about not taking any break, you can make videos about rescued animals and how happy they are (I know it helps me a lot when I start feeling like there's no hope) and conclude that every animal deserve the same thing, without going over the horrible fate of all the others?
I understand how you feel, I cannot even watch it, nor hear them screaming. I am disgusted that I was taught to eat them, had I known and been given a choice, I would never have. I can imagine sometimes you feel powerless, but you are not! You are doing so much and changing peoples perceptions every single day. If you need a little break like ifer suggest, take it, take care of yourself. Sending lots of love.
Emily, you are truly one of my heroes. Thank you so much for all of your dedication to the movement and your activism. I've been vegan for a little over a year now and I've managed to convince my brothers to make the change as well. People are changing. it's just hard to realize when faced with one act of extreme cruelty and apathy. Please don't give up on us humans, we may be extremely fallible but I swear education can make them remember their humanity again.
no I cried at the fact that they killed a pig that could of been sent to a sanctuary to be helped and the pigs were walked to their death. are you blind?
Its super easy to be vegan. The food is satisfying and good, no sugar cravings and no weight gain. My doctor told me I'm super healthy! Watch the Vegan Couple, Vegan Gains or Freelee the banana girl for inspiration !
Every time I pass one of these trucks on the highway, my heart breaks and I cant stop the tears from flowing. I cant only imagine the fear, confusion, and discomfort they experience in that hot, cramped truck, not knowing what's going on or where they are going. The way humans treat other beings like they are disposal objects is beyond words... But people like you, Emily, are ones whom give hope and help to balance the atrocities occurring. Thank you for what you do and for your amazingly kind soul and dedication you have for veganism and animals. ♥
Thank you so much for being such a wonderful voice for animals em! This is heartbreaking. I feel such despair for our world when seeing these horrors. That it's not 'evil monsters' allowing this to happen.. it's our friends. Our families. It's so hard to stomach being near people who have been given all the facts yet still make no effort to change.
I'm rather hopeful to that things will be much better since in countries like mine (Finland), veganism has exploded and the plant based products have become more numerous and more available, being promoted much more and their sales have gone up tremendously and there's no end in sight for that trend. We are fast approaching times where only the most conservative are going against this.
The financiers who run the BBC are greatly invested in animal agriculture, and they not only use the BBC to spread propaganda for that industry, but they want to limit your choices at their supermarkets of $$$
I visited Finland this year and I was amazed by how many vegan cheese options I had, which are absent in my country. Also, so many beautiful forests to walk... Looking forward to visit it again
This made me cry. This is so so so terrible. I don't understand people. I don't understand this. I don't understand why people do this. HOW people can do this. It's unacceptable. Thank you for making this video, Emily. It's so important.
Thank you Emily for helping me stay connected to this. I have been vegan for 8 months and work in a steak house. Can't afford to quit yet but I am working on it. Also, I live in a big city so the only time I see farm animals is on a plate. It's easy for me to become emotionally distant from all of this so thank you so much for these reality checks you literally keep me going some times when I forget why I am doing this. Take care.
Im from Cambridge Ont. I am disgusted by the officers and all of the men who helped bring these pigs to their death. There is no words to describe the pain I feel for these animals, I cant even begin to imagine how they feel.
I feel your pain. And the pigs' pain. I cannot stop crying. What is absolutely incomprehensible to me is that people need to be convinced, coddled, and walked around on tip-toes if they are even going to possibly think about maybe becoming vegan. I became vegan at 17 (17 years ago). Nobody held my hand. Nobody had to show me gruesome videos of death, torture, and sick cruelty. The mere knowledge was enough and I knew in my heart it was the right thing to do... people whining about "oh it's so hard to give up such and such" is just so ridiculous. I knew better as a kid than most adults. People need to stop pretending like they are fragile little porcelain dolls who are "turned off" by the passion, rage, and heartbreak of vegans.... it just takes some giving a shit. Some ounce of humanity... the ability to feel SOMETHING for the pain and suffering of another. Thank you for this video Emily. Living in Toronto is quite lonely despite the large vegan "community".. I say "community" because Toronto has the most unfriendly vegans EVER. Very cliquey and stand-offish. . . so thank you for all you do.
Emily, you and Gary helped me become vegan. I don't think I could ever be as strong as you. Thank you for what you do. This video nearly made me throw up with guilt and shame, even though I've been vegan for months now. I will never forget those screams.
Emily, you make a huge impact in bettering the world for us all. What you've contributed to veganism is perhaps unparalleled by anyone else. Thank you for this video and thank you for your heartfelt honesty. I'm so sorry this happens... I'm overwhelmed so often, too. I know that you will never stop doing what you do, providing thorough education for so many, and THAT gives me hope for humanity. THANK YOU, what you do for us all is priceless
WOW. Thank you so much. That is incredibly kind. I feel this is the least I can do. I want to do and be so much more for them. And there are so many activists fighting this battle and I'm so grateful for each and every one. Many many thanks for your kind words. I really needed this. This helps keep me going when I fee I have nothing left to give.
***** Anytime... I'm in awe of you and what you've created on your channel... A true encyclopedia of everything vegan. Deep breaths and please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need support. I do know this work leaves you with moments where it feels like your soul has left your body and it's hard to find people who can meet you there... and you're too good a person to be there alone
I cried through this entire video, it amazes me how people can have so little compassion for other living beings. It enrages me! Thank you for posting this, your videos helped me go vegan a year ago and I can't believe I ever contributed to this.
I am so angry and sad right now, I don't know how I will recover after seeing that footage. I always avoid watching videos like this since I'm already vegan, yet with this one I felt the need to watch it until the end. Good job, Emily.
I feel like this one of your most powerful videos. So I don't succumb to feeling helpless, I'm going to go meditate and visualize the breaking of chains. For the animals AND for humans. You didn't die in vain pigs, there are people making sure of this...
Emily. You are what inspired me to go vegan. You are what inspired my partner to go vegan. You are what inspired me to volunteer at the animal sanctuary. You are what educated me about slaughter, fishing, honey, zoos, horseback riding, and so much more. You have such a profound effect on so many of our lives and its spreading. This was an utmost tragedy. Its sad we cant see this as a mass slaughter like the orlando shootings. Society made us this way and its hard to undo. But empathy takes time to develop. You help with that crucial step that leads to understanding and empathy. Sending you lots of love.. And may those dead pigs suffer no more... Im so sorry pigs..
Yooo ! I don't know if I already told you or even commented on one of your videos but you helped me a lot to understand what was happening to the animals and how I was encouraging all of this. Thank you so much for doing what yo do and please, keep doing it! Thanks for opening my eyes every time I see a video of you. Love, xx
movement's take time. it will get better with every generation. i have a pet pig and i quit eating pork the day we got him and just a few weeks ago i went full on vegan. and your channel is one i subscribed to, and it helps me not want this for animals. we are all earthlings. and animals don't deserve it
Congrats! Yes, movements do take time. Unfortunately, when we see this kind of stuff happening, it's painful and we go through the tough mood Emily is in this video. I feel like that from time to time, especially when you see things changing and then you see a setback.
I agree. There was a time in human history when almost no one spoke up for animals; there was no animal cruelty prevention, and one writer actually described animals (including his own pregnant dog, whom he liked to kick) as being "incapable" of feeling, as being like "machines" whose cries of pain were no more real than the sounds of a non-living mechanism like his clock. And that disgusting POS was a popular author. We are evolving as a species; it's just taking too long. Hopefully, as more people speak out, our compassion as a species will evolve. Love and hugs to your pig! ❤️
time is actually the cause. We don't stop torturing animals gradually. We see the truth and take action immediately. Action is always now, never tomorrow.
I get that. but just like things have gotten bad over time, nothing like that can happen over night. And it can't be fixed over night either. A lot of older people wont listen and will always see nothing wrong with eating meat. I love all these vegan youtubers because they target the new generation. and there is way more of a demand for vegan options right now than there has ever been. plant based products are at eye level in stores. It will take time. Yes time means more animals will have to loose their lives, But there simply is no quick fix for this. and that's just the cold reality of it. yes time is the cause and in time it will get better.
I've documented slaughterhouses, stockyards, humane and homesteading farms. Believe me when I say that they are not treating these pigs in their usual manner. By this I mean they are not kicking them, stomping on them, raping them, flaying them with knives beating them over the head with pipes. This is all show for because they know they are being taped. The 42 pigs that could not move would've been waterboarded, tasered, punch, kicked and if small enough thrown against the concrete. The ones that went into the abbatoir, I guarantee you I guarantee you were beaten for the "trouble" they caused. I have been vegan for 30 years in these 30 years I have learned that people know, they do not care. Nowhere in this world are humans treated the way all other species are treated. This happens Billions of times per day.
This was so immensely horrifying to watch. My heart hurts for those pigs. The other day my mom cooked bacon for my family and living in her house without the right to say things against her beliefs, I listened to her ignorantly tell my 8 and 9 year old sisters that pigs are born to be near and that we give them a life because we eat them. My younger sisters don't know the truth, my step dad doesn't know the truth and my mom refuses to listen to the truth, saying ignorance is bliss. It hurts to be censored when trying to educate anyone about the truth when they refuse to listen. It hurts to know these people are out there, with no care of what is happening to other species, with no care to learn. It hurts to not have the right to tell my sisters that they are right to be sad to eat the pig when it is all my mother will buy.
Also, those not fit for human consumption are still killed for greed, as they become inventory for the pet food industry which has little regulation including roadkill, euthenised pets and grocery inventory past date (packaging included).
Emily, your a true inspiration. I can feel how hurtful it is for you to make a video like this, but you are making such a massive difference to the animals lives, saving more than you will ever know. I'm so proud to be vegan and you are part of the reason for opening my eyes to that. Keep doing an amazing job.
Please don't lose hope...people are listening to you. 18 months ago I had no idea that this is how things are done. I had no idea that I was a party to so much suffering just for a burger, chicken nuggets and strips of bacon. Watching your videos and becoming a fan of Esther changed my life. Thank you
dont lose all hope. I was a hunter and avid animal consumer. Vegans like yourself saved my life and many animal lives. Ive been a vegan for nearly 10 years now. I came back from high blood pressure, and diabetes. Im now in great health and promote the vegan message. This world needs more people like you. Thank you for all that you do. The industries spend millions and millions every year brain washing and conditioning consumers. Its a small price to pay to have dedicated customers that will even hate other people that show scientific proof and evidence about their choices.
I am a Canadian, from Toronto, and I am absolutely ashamed and disgusted that this happened literally 30 min west from my home. The so called "progressive" Canadian media did not even mention this in the news, the mainstream one. Emily, thank you for sharing this. If this can be a comfort to you, tomorrow I am celebrating 6 months of going vegan, after 2 years of being vegetarian. You, Emily, have been the main reason for my complete transition to veganism; your education, integrity and honesty about pain and suffering of the most vulnerable ones. Thank you and do not lose hope, please. We need you, Bite Size Vegan!!.
We cannot give up. I know how hard is to live with so much hidden evil in the world, everywhere. We know. Everyday we see people satisfying themselves with corpses of sentient beings that did not have to die. And they mock us, they mock the anguish and despair of these innocent creatures. But we will never give up, for them. These events won't stop. We have to turn it into fuel. The animals don't need people feeling sorry for them, crying for them, feeling pity. They need actions, people standing up for them. Of course we cry, but our actions on their behalf must surpass our tears. Please... if you are not vegan, be the change now; and if you are, do the best you can with what you have. Thank you Emily.
As long as we are human, we will always be cruel. It aways finds a way into our ways of being. There shouldn't be hope to begin with, rather, hope for the individuals that have the potential to be kind.
Camry Hill it IS like that even if the world goes vegan for whatever reason in the future. Humans, as we know it, are selfish, brutal beings. As a whole, its in our dna. Fortunately, that is not always the case for every individual. To overcome our cruel nature as a whole species, we need to evolve... good luck waiting for a few thousand years. Don't hope, just be kind.
You're a beautiful, sensitive girl. You're what I call a proper human. Maybe, just maybe, in the far future people will all be like you, although in my heart of hearts I don't really believe it. I wish you all the luck and love in your life.
I rarely comment on videos, but just wanted you to know how heartbreaking this was to watch and how greatly appreciated this video is to keep spreading the vegan message. I went Vegan in April and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner. You have inspired me to start actively making videos about veganism and not shying away from telling people anymore, thank you for all your hard work, not all heroes wear capes
Please stay strong. You have influenced my life, I'm vegan and contributing to other people making the same choice. There is hope. We grieve for the lives lost and that makes it so much harder to remember that there is also good surrounding us. You are part of that goodness and you are making a change. Thank you.
I believe people there were even trying to pay money for the pigs, to be able to take them somewhere where the pigs could live. But of course Fearmans would rather the pigs body be dumped than get money for a pig to remain ALIVE and well (and possibly happy)
I feel your pain Emily. I am a teacher for kindergarten and primary school kids. One of the primary focuses is to help them reconnect with their compassionate side, to feel supported and brave enough to stay sensitive.
Today I found new hope for humanity. This sunday in the city of Aschheim in Bavaria Germany (nearby where I live) had been a citicen's decision regarding plans for a giant slaughterhouse facility. The vote had been set up due to massive protests from the population. 87% of the people voted against the slaughterhouse. The project is now stopped for good. The turnout of voters had been significantly high. Just wanted to share this good news.
"Evil thrives when good men do nothing" No matter how cruel...how unreasonable and how INSANE people can be never give up hope because your such an influence to people, you bring out the best in people and provide them with a painful truth and loving encouragement, and this no matter even how small you worry it might be in a world so corrupt with ignorance , every little brick of kindness goes toward building a bridge of compassion. This breaks my heart, the whole world needs to see this....
Incredibly poignant video and disturbing footage. Thank you Emily for being such a tireless, rational voice for those in need. A number of years ago I was listening on the radio to an interview of Desmond Tutu. I am paraphrasing in my recollection of the dialogue….the interviewer asked Mr. Tutu how, in the face of so much suffering, anguish, and turmoil that he has seen can he still be so seemingly optimistic. Desmond Tutu replied something like, “I am not an optimist….I am a prisoner of hope.” What Desmond Tutu expressed resonated with me so deeply because that’s exactly how I’d felt for many years as an activist….and I still do. I don’t say that with glee or with resignation - it’s simply the reality on the ground for me. Without hope, I might have resigned to some state of despair. But despair helps no one. Those fighting for the voiceless exploited, downtrodden, and subjugated…..please try to find a way to keep hopeful, even if optimism has not been in your heart for years.
Glass walls have been put on the slaughterhouse. There is no humane slaughter. “You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson #Complicit2Slaughter #TorontoPigSave #CompassionIsNotACrime #FearmansShowedNoMercy
This made me cry. I work at a sanctuary and one pig there is like my best friend. To know that all 41 of these have the same potential makes every death a heartbreak.
I live in Toronto and heard about this on the radio. The woman reported "all pigs have been found and are safe". Safe?!
It's sooo messed up
This is how brainwashed the society is... We manage to write articles about how pigs going to a slaughterhouse have been SAVED, and are SAFE. I mean, what the actual fuck?!
HA... yep. total lies
She said they were safe?! How sick
+laurax - she meant the meat is safe to consume still (sanitary precautions)
Been vegan for 2 months now because of you and I feel so much better. I don't get stomach aces after I eat anymore and I get a lot less migraines! Thank you for everything you do!
Being a vegan and an animal rights activist is very frustrating. I hope you know that you truly do make a difference though.
Erica, I agree with you. Each one of us makes a difference.
it's depressing because people think you're crazy because you care.
I've been waiting 34 years for the world to catch up and become vegan. I've learned the hard way that patience is a virtue and that good things come to those who believe and never lose sight of their goal.
LondonCalling I feel the same, god bless
As long as there is one person willing to speak out and take a stand against animal slaughter, there is hope. Let us not define ourselves by the selfish behavior of others
truth
America is becoming more Hispanic every day... We Hispanics are programed from birth not to think we a special snowflakes. Soooo I would not say that veganism has a BRIGHT future in the USA. Btw those refried bean? We save our bacon grease to make them extra yummy 😘😁
Oh, this video was made so many years ago. She can't even hear us, let alone reply!
And they recently killed a activist
@@animallearnings7770 Is there concrete proof for this or is it just a rumour and/or theory?
You may loose hope in humanity but you give me hope for humanity
know this:if you are doing the right thing you should never give up hope even against all odds, because that's what i do
VegAnn I feel the same way, there is so much violence happening in the world and to see someone trying so desperately to stop it is what gives me so much hope for humanity.
VegAnn Yes! THIS! Like Fred Rogers once said (I'm paraphrasing) when you see something horrible, look to the helpers.

+Bite Sive Vegan there will always be people that hate everyone because the don't want to know the truth and are the best idiots

enjoy double cancer with triple diabetes
Hi mat, how does that justify it?
Bite Size Vegan Emily! You matter too! To us, to your family, you are important! Please consider vadication! Many doctors, humanity workers, soldiers have similar feelings as you now, you are not alone.
Can't help nobody if you are ill yourself. You didn't allow yourself any rest after your friend died :'(
Please, I know you feel defeated now, but you too have to recharge your batteries somehow or it will consume you!
Killed for nothing instead of letting the injured pigs go to sanctuary. Truly barbaric.
Honestly I'm not even surprised by ANY evil acts anymore I've seen it all. Nothing surprises me and I'm just gonna do what needs to be done and keep spreading veganism
doesn't matter how many times you see it, it hurts just as bad every time😭
absolutely
YES! You can make this change! Keep following your heart. You know the truth . Much love
Man this hit me harder than I thought. I'm vegetarian. I'm starting to go vegan. I'm literally going to be depressed all day 😔
That's what happened me too. You have no idea how much better you will feel on the inside when you go vegan.
WestonIsMyDad you are doing the best thing you can do by going vegan!! :)
nice appeal to futility dumbfuck. typical carnist
+daft mell and you are just plain stupid.
+daft mell, but is not carnism designed to look away from what is actually happening? You do not have to rape and torture animals, friend. Fact.
The best people can do is to do videos, get the word out. People just aren't aware.
Never be afraid to feel emotions. It is the only thing keeping us from being soulless robots. We must be constantly reminded of the suffering to keep us angry, sad and fueled.
David, make videos and speak out, show it. The more voices on youtube for the animals, the better!
I don't eat meat, eggs or dairy Emily. Honestly there is something creepy about eating something as smart as a small child.
WOW!!! Thank you so much!!!! That means SOO very much to me and give me so much hope. Thank you for being open.
I became vegan because of her too, thank you for making me seeing the truth and changing my lifestyle
Bite Size Vegan YPUR REPLY MADE MY DAY THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU AND KEEP INSPIRING PEOPLE!!!1!11!!
I saw the video and it made me so angry I could barely concentrate on working. How we all stay sane as vegans is a miracle.
I know how that feels. The frustration when I am told by so-called animal loving family not to get "preachy" they simply just do not want to know.
Chrissy D we don't all stay sane :/
Emily,
Thank you so much for your wisdom and empathy.
Horray! Congrats :)
***** Eww! Good Point. I was a huge sushi fan. It's not difficult anymore though. Especially when I heard of all of the other animals that get harmed in the process. I'm glad I can bring that up to others now. Thanks :)
Sushi is what kept me from going vegan but then one day I ordered vegan sushi just to try it and never looked back.
I'm in tears watching your video. I've been vegan for 3 years and an activist, but the world we live in never stops to disappoint me. Thank you for your dedicated work with your channel. The world needs you.
I hope this video goes viral
we can make it go viral #vegansunite
Its far too long to go viral. She needs to edit it down to a minute or less.
Just spread it through social media i did :)
ThisTimeAround Vegan Life with Jen Yeah, but that's not going viral, its somebody posting a boring link on their facebook wall that most people will ignore. I want it to go VIRAL.
Its not :(
Hi Emily, I dont speak english but, please, dont loose ur hope, dont surrender. GO GO GO !!
Love you!
Me?? I love you toooooooo gorgeous!
Thank you so much! I will never surrender. And THANK YOU for opening your eyes and changing!!! That is such a powerful testimony for others!!! Much much love!!!
Wow, good for you! It took me two years of being vegetarian to go vegan.
Naiaravip You made a huge change benefitting yourself AND everyone else in just a few months. I'm proud of you! I'm proud of everyone here.
Heartbreaking. Horrible human beings. Hopefully this is tipping point in the battle.
Welcome to the human race, we're VERY unstable. Also inherently violent.
I don't really believe we are inherently violent. some are violent and domineering but most are simply apathetic and have a very narrow circle of compassion. people are generally selfish and self centred.
until those who are kind have the numbers and enough force, this will never end
Oh god those screams, I just can't. How can humans be so cruel?
and people want to eat this for dinner? DISGUSTING, I'M DISGUSTED.
Come back stronger, we still have lots to do!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Love you so much, sending lots of vegan love🌱
The fact that they hide their actions behind a cardboard makes it clear they Know there is something wrong with these actions... I myself never hide behind any cardboard when I eat my bananas.
Why the hell wouldn't they just allow you all to take them to a damn sanctuary?! SURELY it's cheaper for them to say here you go then. Unbelievable!
This is so cruel. I'm sharing this everywhere!
This incident just tore my heart into pieces. I am at a point where I have lost most to all compassion for my own species. I can't help it.
We live in a fked up world. I wish people could understand this. So many people justify to me why they should eat meat. Ffs. Thanks Emily for your videos.
My heart is broken, the amount of cruelty and people ignoring, not caring, the heartlessness. Makes me have so much hate for humans.
They can't show one ounce of compassion to them, because once they did, they would have to acknowledge the truth of what they are doing.
Tactical Vegan yeah if they called us compassionate human beings, they wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
I agree, it has to be rough for them to see others who refuse to accept animal killing/commodification as "just the way things are"
Hi Emily, I stopped eating meat and animal products from watching you and other vegans on UA-cam I would not call myself a vegan yet but I am on my way I have been plant-based for over 18 months and through me 2 other people have given up eating meat and any form of animal products so keep the faith we can change as the human race and I thank you David 😊
Stay strong Emily. Unfortunately it's too late for these creatures, but our efforts as vegans will one day change the world forever.
XOXOXO
You are such a beautiful person Emily. Thank you for everything you do.
The pain and suffering in their screams, it's just horrific!
▶︎ SEE description for link to shareable meme image: *This is not an isolated incident of rare cruelty. This is a rare incident of systematic cruelty being thrust into the open.*
Bite Size Vegan thank you for always speaking out 💕😖 I am so disappointed in the choices made that day.
Oh, I really feel like giving you a hug right now...
+ifer lyf
I agree
Please don't give up on us humans, we may be extremely fallible but I swear education can make them remember their humanity again.
holy shit. this just made me cry. xc I don't want to eat meat or any animal products anymore. I need help
you cried because an accident happened? wow
no I cried at the fact that they killed a pig that could of been sent to a sanctuary to be helped
and the pigs were walked to their death. are you blind?
Please go vegan.
Its super easy to be vegan. The food is satisfying and good, no sugar cravings and no weight gain. My doctor told me I'm super healthy! Watch the Vegan Couple, Vegan Gains or Freelee the banana girl for inspiration !
its also super easy to be an idiot
The lack of compassion in so many people is extremely upsetting.
The fact there are so many witnesses and media coverage now is a sign of a positive change. All great breakthroughs for rights take time.
I feel utterly hopeless that there's nobody I know who'd watch this video even if I shared it with them.
Just hearing their shrieks pierces through my heart :(
It's people like you that give us hope for humanity.
The financiers who run the BBC are greatly invested in animal agriculture, and they not only use the BBC to spread propaganda for that industry, but they want to limit your choices at their supermarkets of $$$
I think the UK is improving, there is free from sections in supermarkets that are easy to find
I visited Finland this year and I was amazed by how many vegan cheese options I had, which are absent in my country. Also, so many beautiful forests to walk... Looking forward to visit it again
So awesome to hear.
Good for Finland!! BRAVO!!!
This made me cry. This is so so so terrible. I don't understand people. I don't understand this. I don't understand why people do this. HOW people can do this. It's unacceptable. Thank you for making this video, Emily. It's so important.
Yes, vegan chocolate! Nam nam.
My husband, mom and dad, and I all became vegan two weeks ago because of your education. Thank you.
Very cliquey and stand-offish. . . so thank you for all you do.
holy fricking hell.
thank you emily.
It is the very least I can do. Breaks my heart.
Good job, Emily.
i lost it long ago
Love, xx
movement's take time. it will get better with every generation. i have a pet pig and i quit eating pork the day we got him and just a few weeks ago i went full on vegan. and your channel is one i subscribed to, and it helps me not want this for animals. we are all earthlings. and animals don't deserve it
That's great to hear. Give a pet to your piggy for me : )
When will it end? When will this horror end? 😔
*born to be meat
everything is born to be used
Thanks, I'd tell her to fuck off and take care of my sisters myself if I had the means.
Also, those not fit for human consumption are still killed for greed, as they become inventory for the pet food industry which has little regulation including roadkill, euthenised pets and grocery inventory past date (packaging included).
These people are absolutely disconnected from their feelings! How can they do that and not show even the tiniest bit of mercy?
I see humans, but no humanity 😞
Emily, your a true inspiration. I can feel how hurtful it is for you to make a video like this, but you are making such a massive difference to the animals lives, saving more than you will ever know. I'm so proud to be vegan and you are part of the reason for opening my eyes to that. Keep doing an amazing job.
Thank you so much for speaking up for the animals.
This is so horribly sad. Thank you, Emily for bringing this to attention.
We need to stop the demand and so stop all the killings as much as possible!
As long as we are human, we will always be cruel. It aways finds a way into our ways of being. There shouldn't be hope to begin with, rather, hope for the individuals that have the potential to be kind.
I don't believe this statement. it doesn't have to be like that.
+Camry Hill Well, it is, and has been since the beginning of our evolution.
Don't hope, just be kind.
hadroncollidier Unless the whole world goes Vegan. I'm positive it will happen one day.

I'm willing to help anyone who is genuinely curious/serious about going Vegan! Please make the right choice.
Aw you're so adorable. How long did it take you to come up with such a special, original reply?
Too adorable. Grow up, k?

help.
Incredibly poignant video and disturbing footage. Thank you
Emily for being such a tireless, rational voice for those in need.
A number of years ago I was listening on the radio to an
interview of Desmond Tutu. I am paraphrasing in my recollection of the dialogue….the
interviewer asked Mr. Tutu how, in the face of so much suffering, anguish, and
turmoil that he has seen can he still be so seemingly optimistic. Desmond Tutu
replied something like, “I am not an optimist….I am a prisoner of hope.”
What Desmond Tutu expressed resonated with me so deeply
because that’s exactly how I’d felt for many years as an activist….and I still
do. I don’t say that with glee or with resignation - it’s simply the reality on
the ground for me. Without hope, I might have resigned to some state of
despair. But despair helps no one.
Those fighting for the voiceless exploited, downtrodden, and
subjugated…..please try to find a way to keep hopeful, even if optimism has not
been in your heart for years.
And they say vegans shouldn't hate humans. I just don't see how we cannot!
Everyone please SHARE this video around. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram bio, let people know on Snapchat
Glass walls have been put on the slaughterhouse. There is no humane slaughter.
“You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you Toronto Pig Save and you Emily! I hope everyone sees this! If not for you guys no one would know the truth.
but we vegans are just too extreme
Thanks to you I have been vegetarian for almost a year & vegan for almost 4 months. Nothing has ever changed my life more then this, thank you♡
WOW. That is incredible. Thank you so much for making this change! It's such a powerful choice. Thank you and much love
BITE SIZE VEGAN FOR PRESIDENT!!!
This made me cry. I work at a sanctuary and one pig there is like my best friend. To know that all 41 of these have the same potential makes every death a heartbreak.
