Bob was and is the GOAT. He was also a philosopher, prophet, peacemaker and philanthropist.. it was t Stevie it was Lionel Richie and the Commodores I believe
I was a student nurse in a hospital in South London, I am white , all my fellow nurses Jamaican. Went to Brixton Academy to see some live music, in 1974..., surprise artist rumour was going to be showing we thought it may have been Dennis Brown, an absolutey brilliant Jamaican singer .Instead, Bob Marley came on. He was living in Fulham West London , had left Jamaica after an attempt on his life . Still get goosebumps about that night and yes, still nursing with all my Jamaica girls and guys xx
Man, there’s nothing better than in the summertime, on a beautiful, warm day, sitting in my boat, cruising, with a cold, libation and listening to some Bob. He touches your soul in such a meaningful way.
When I buried my husband in 2005, I brought a boombox along to the cemetery. My intention was to play some Native American flute music as we buried him, but when I opened the boombox, this Marley album was already in the drive, and I Had to play this song. It filled me with such warmth I was able to cope with the rest of the day. It felt like magic. I felt my Tom's spirit with me. Never got to see Marley live, and my husband had tickets (before we met), front row I believe, in Milwaukee, but Bob's show was canceled for lack of ticket sales, and a few months later he was dead. I'm so sorry my Tom never got to see him. I may have been in anguish that day in the cemetery (and for years after), but this song is Pure Joy.
Im a rock girl. love the Beatles, love 70s rock, 90s and new stuff. But this is seriously one of the best songs ever written. What a legend, we were blessed to be gifted this music from him!
I’m a 61 year old white guy in Canada and this song has almost brought tears to my eyes from the first time I heard it. Not sure why but it always hit me so hard…. And when we lost him it broke me. A great man and a great artist.
Love that he’s synonymous with a great big smile. Che gets mad props for noticing and pointing out that was the Legend cover. Smiling cause kids were having a great time. 🎉🎉❤❤
I’m a 67 year old white guy , did four years with the 82 Airborne Division every morning my best friend played this and all the Bob Marley catalog back in 77 and on and it was a great day to start the day. We would smoke a little on the way into Ft.Bragg.
Quick Factoid: "On October 4, 1975, Stevie Wonder headlined a concert dubbed “The Wonder Dream Concert” that featured Bob Marley as one his opening acts along with Third World. Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes had been billed to appear but didn’t. Interestingly, this was the last time that Bob performed with original Wailers Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. Bob joined Stevie Wonder on stage for two songs “I shot the sheriff” and “Superstition”."
This is true, Bob touches my soul, and brings me happiness. Goes to show, great music is a universal language. I am female, pale, blonde and past 60- yet his music is a salve for my heart!❤
Bob was a genius. When you hear one of his tunes you KNOW you are in the presence of a MASTER. And the musicianship, the background vocals (on other tracks). Just fantastic.
First I'm exposed to reggae was in 1970 when Toots & the Maytels opened for the Who at the Cleveland Colliseum, I was in 7th grade and the place went crazy and reggae been with me ever since.
One of my favorite covers of this done by Corinne Bailey Rae, who does it with more of a slower doo wop feel. Along the same lines, she does an old doo wop song and gives it a reggae feel, "I only have eyes for you". Both really good.
Check out his final album Uprising in headphones, it's so well produced, it's just amazing. The Work Song from that is brilliant. It's an incredible album. Also love the entire Kaya album. So many gems on that, like Misty Morning.
This cat just wanted to make us all one. Beautiful guy to say the least. Lucky enough to see his son Ziggy this summer opening for Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Yeah Che, you caught the Legend album cover... good eyes. We could use another Bob Marley. God knows he did his part fathering a whole bunch of little Marleys. And yep I got chills too watching this.
Man **Beautiful** i just Luv ya guys...ya seem to really like & respect each other i cant imagine the two of ya fighting ever (tho i could be wrong) but man ya make me wish i had a sibling like either of ya YOU are very lucky...& **BigBigPixieLuvz&HugzToTheManBobMarley** **OneOAKindSpecial** **BeautifulSoul** **GiftToHumanity** **One Love**
I'm Canadian, saw him in concert, up here in Toronto in 1979, it was truly awesome. The year he died, there had been a memorial service in Toronto. My friends and I went and bawled our eyes out. His death still brings tears to my eyes. RIP Brother Bob!
Never hear Bob reacted to. Wow! Listen to Iron Lion Zion and know that he ROCKS. I think that is the direction he was going in before he tragically died. Him and Jimi would have made magic together.
Thank you for doing this. Never had seen this. Che you are spot on with the Legend cover. Everyone that partakes roll up a spliff and kick back and enjoy. Excellent reaction fellas!!!Appreciate you 🙏❤
Bob wrote amazing songs of life and love, but my favorite are his songs regarding injustice. Them Belly Full, Small Axe, Rebel Music & Redemption Song to name just a few.
I love this song but I gotta choose Three Little Birds for my favorite Bob Marley song. It just kills me every time, picturing those three little birds beside the doorstop..just wow. And also the 'Every little thing gonna be alright'..can't beat that!
The "three little birds" were his back-up singers - "However, three female singers from the reggae group I Threes who did shows with Marley claim it is a reference to them. I Threes member Marcia Griffiths remarked, 'After the song was written, Bob would always refer to us as the Three Little Birds. After a show, there would be an encore, sometimes people even wanted us to go back onstage four times. Bob would still want to go back and he would say, "What is my Three Little Birds saying?'" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Little_Birds
Hell yeah! Straight up the coolest dude all time ..y’all gotta watch live bob ,live in London at rainbow room…or live in Santa Barbra !!!!!🔥🔥🔥❤️🎶🫠🫡🌲🌲🌲no one has ever had such a powerful message!!!…live 👍🏽is a must, funky and ahead of it time and timeless
This was shot in a London youth center, I googled, lol. One of the kids is Naomi Campgell at 9 yrs old! You can tell London with those row houses and the street doesn't have 1 freaking tree. I don't think anyone could not like this song, it's universal.
Great reaction to a great song and artist. RIP. 🙏 I am a big fan and I also can't wait for his movie to come out. I akso have his 2 CD set of the last concert he did a few months before he died. Hope you both had a very Merry Christmas 🤶 🎅🎄 and have a very Happy New Year's. 😀😃😄😁😊
Your story at the end about the madison square garden show is a little bit off. It where 2 of the last 3 concerts ever (september 1980) for Bob as he fell Ill. Bob opened for the commodores, he wasn't booed, but he outperformed the commodores despite opening for them. Bob didn't mind not being the headliner, as he just wanted to reach a broader audiance. Thanks for this great reaction!
I was introduced to Bob Marley in the early 90's when I was in my early 20's. Over the decades he's become one of my all time favorite musicians, especially in terms of lyrics and life philosophy. Would you guys consider doing the Song of Freedom boxed set acoustic melody which is actually 7 songs in one? Its my all time favorite vibe from Bob. What a range of greatness in songs!
Fellas ... the best artists have a quality for which words cannot really describe. Applies to Bob no doubt. This song, this video, is so moving ... every aspect of it. So hard to put into words. But so clearly there. Cannot wait for Redemption Song and Johnny Was. Keep it up ...
I've always loved this song 💕 Pat Travers does a great cover of this song, speaking of Pat Travers I don't think you have ever reacted to him before, check out the live version of " boom, boom out go the lights" its a jam✌️
Yes sirs! You guys are now wid it ! Been listening to Jai music since 76! Let’s expose the rest of America to Jammin, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds, and then hit Jimmy Cliff!
There are lots of good Reggae artists but to me Bob is Reggae. Babylon By Bus is is in my top 5 (prolly top 3) live albums ever. Was lucky to see him in the late 70's. Wish I could go back in time
Oh man, you've hit the reggae finally. In addition to the great Bob Marley, check out Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley, Damien Marley, Third World, Jimmy Cliff, Eddie Grant, Steel Pulse, Buju Banton and so many others.
…Aswad, The Pioneers, The Melodians, UB40, The Revolutionaries, Yabby You, Dennis Bovell, I Roy, U Roy, The Upsetters, LSP, The Maytones, Prince Buster, The Heptones, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mutabaruka, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Musical Youth, Black Slate, Amazulu,…
Not too big on material things but one of my prized possessions was an autographed poster of Bob from his Santa Cruz show in 1979. And Third World has been on my playlist since '78.
Bob was and is the GOAT. He was also a philosopher, prophet, peacemaker and philanthropist.. it was t Stevie it was Lionel Richie and the Commodores I believe
No matter how low I feel , this always makes me smile
We need this vibe now...love and togetherness.
Made me cry

Man, there’s nothing better than in the summertime, on a beautiful, warm day, sitting in my boat, cruising, with a cold, libation and listening to some Bob. He touches your soul in such a meaningful way.

Bob is all about LOVE..We need him.. wish he was here physically. but always here with his music..feels good ....Thank you guys..

All those kids smiling and having fun with no tension. What happens when we turn 16? And why?! Message to youth.
Bob! Wonderful. Thank you fellas.
Im a rock girl. love the Beatles, love 70s rock, 90s and new stuff. But this is seriously one of the best songs ever written. What a legend, we were blessed to be gifted this music from him!
Bob Marley was more than just an artist, his probably the most influential singer of all time, even the Beatles went to Bob Marleys concert..
Deeply loved over her in England where his recording career really took off. God bless Chris Blackwell.
I’m a 61 year old white guy in Canada and this song has almost brought tears to my eyes from the first time I heard it. Not sure why but it always hit me so hard…. And when we lost him it broke me. A great man and a great artist.
Other 61 year-old pale Canadian agrees.
Who care what "color" your are...The music is just awesome
Bob Marley's father was CAUCASIAN!
Same 👍🇬🇧@@danmayberry1185
Your color has ZERO to do with liking his music...any music❗️
We really to stop this and move forward🤔
That dancing kid in the green shirt and the beret is cooler than 95% of all adults.
He caught my eye too. Good little dancer
This song is such a classic ! It’s so joyful and sincere
Bob was a prophet, RIP.
Old school rock head and I’m taking this album in my top 10 on a dessert island. Brilliant album
"Legend" is awesome, and where is that "dessert" island, sounds like a great place to go since dessert is the best part of any meal, lol.
My favorite Bob Marley song!
This is a song that people will smiling to for generations to come.
One of the coolest vibes ever.
The musicianship and production value are off the charts too.
It's impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to Bob Marley. What a gift he was and continues to be.
When my spirit needs a lift, I always go to Bob. You can't not feel good.
My favorite Bob Marley song 1
Love that he’s synonymous with a great big smile. Che gets mad props for noticing and pointing out that was the Legend cover. Smiling cause kids were having a great time. 🎉🎉❤❤
Bob was the Pied Piper of love and justice through his music, blessed by Jah. We sure need him now. 😪🎶♥☮
A great man who created phenomenal music..RIP Bob Marley …❤️🖤💚☮️
I saw Robert Nesta Marley in Philly 1978, Omg the building swayed all night! That voice!
Really?
Hero’s are remembered but Legends never die!
I’m a 67 year old white guy , did four years with the 82 Airborne Division every morning my best friend played this and all the Bob Marley catalog back in 77 and on and it was a great day to start the day. We would smoke a little on the way into Ft.Bragg.
Of the Marley albums I have, this is my favorite. The whole album is worth a reaction in my mind.
Aloha gentleman, here in Hawaii brother Bob is royalty. It's a natural mystic. Waiting in vain please. Lots of peace and love irie
Play dat Jawaiian mon... I listen to Bob and Landon Mac all day while on Oahu
Their production value was second to none
Bob Marley changed the world . He was a Healer of your spirit and soul !!!! ✌️❤️✊😊
Saw Bob at the Tower theater in Philly it was a religious experience! One love, Jah Rastifari!
P.S. Little Stevie Wonder was my first concert (I was 9 or 10 years old)
That's awesome! Saw Bob but I still need to see Stevie
He’s one of the greatest artist of all time and a personal favorite of mine. Thank you for doing a reaction on this great man’s work. 🕊❤️🎼
Bobs heart and soul comes thru his music
It not only gives me chills it brings tears
Even after 50 years of listening to him

Same here - 58 y/o White woman who has always loved Bob Marley. Light a spliff, sit back and groove...

One of the best to ever do it. Can't overstate his importance.
Awesome!

Bob Marley was not only a musical genius, but also a spiritual master and mystic healer, whether he knew it or not. What a special soul he was!
this and the beatles on a different level
Neither of you can hold a tune to save your life, but still fun to hear you singing along!
Great stuff and chee you're absolutely right as soon as Bob smiled that was the album cover photo...
Never hear Bob reacted to. Wow! Listen to Iron Lion Zion and know that he ROCKS. I think that is the direction he was going in before he tragically died. Him and Jimi would have made magic together.

Trivia, the little girl in the chair at 3.45 is Naomi Campbell - super model.
That bass line is savage…and then it breaks down with triplets on the guitar at the end of the phrase 🤯
It’s a tasty tasty groove….jeeeezzzzz
Hey fellas, I own every Bob Marley album. My brother and I both! Master Blaster by Stevie was written for Bob!🖖🏼
