+Tuffnar Long Dong you've heard of ghost pains right? I'm just not sure if a dog's nervous system would translate pain in the same way as humans would with that.
This is so sad because I'm pretty sure the person that put that cast on Hank thought they were helping him. They just put it on too tight and did not change it. Hank is adorable and it makes me happy to see that he has a new happy home :)
This is why people should take cases like this straight to the vet or something or atleast make sure they are treating them right so they won't accidentally make the situation even worse. This made me so sad even though he became a really happy pup
Janina Ahlstedt there is also the vet bills. My dog ate cigarette buds from the ashtray and to fix her it cost 500 just for the visit and another 1000 for the cure. It may be sad but not everyone has 1500 just to fix a puppy. This is life but I actually have a heart in went into debt. 😅
What happened was the puppy had the bandage on but then got away and as the puppy grew the bandage became to small and then the puppy was found it most likely was applied correctly
Real question: How can you guys stomach doing this? for some reason i can watch humans get surgeries like its nothing but i cant do it so easily with animals. You guys are miracle workers
Something I learn from watching these videos is that happiness isn't something you get from owning nice things, or making money. Its the way you perceive life and how you decide to act. I saw this puppy and I saw a kitten who had to get his eyes removed. They were completely happy and playful because they lived without envy of "better" things. They had disadvantages but they were still able to make the best of life because they've never known life any other way. So I think, how is that cat not sad that it can't see, the cat never knew anything other then blindness which made him happy that he had hearing and sound, rather than being sad that he couldn't see.
Max Duvall Yeah well, it’s different when you lose something you had before. It’s hard to be positive about the present when you just keep thinking about the better past.
yea but like even when dogs had a good leg and then it got removed they are still so happy after. but humans get really bad depression after that kind of thing pretty often.
Kind of an unrealistic comparison, really. I can appreciate the message behind it. But in reality, animals don't suffer from worries and stresses of daily life. They don't have arguments with their spouses or divorce. They don't know what the hell gender fluidity is. They can have sex with whatever partner they want pretty much. And they can do this nearly anywhere and at any time that another dog is around. They don't have to worry about child support or custody battles. Hell, they don't even have to rause their kids for longer than a couple months. And then, they dont get heart broke when their babies leave. And animals sure as hell wouldn't care, or even notice, if their adult child, who had moved out over a year ago, ends up getting killed right in front of them. They wouldnt even recognize that younger dog as their offspring. So my take away from it all is, in reality, animals are much more content, and even happier than people are, because...ignorance is bliss.
@@maxduvall9055 Thats partly because of the differences between the memory and how it works in dogs and in people. A dog has no imagination either. So that plays a part in it also. So, a dog who had a leg removed, very likely wouldn't even remember having that leg, other than his muscle memory. But that fades. Then, say the dog could remember his leg. He probably wouldn't really miss it even then. Since missing something, (or someone) often involves wanting it back again. Usually, the mind tend to wander back to the here and now, after wishing you had it back. And in the here and now, the mind can start to imagine all the things that you could be doing right now, if you had it back. But since a dog lacks that imagination, the dog wouldn't be stewing over his lost limb. He would remember that at one point he had it, but now he doesn't. And that's it.
My neighbours have a three-legged dog, missing the same leg as Hank is, but he's great and he plays a lot with my two dogs, running around like a torpedo.
my grandparents have a three legged dog, except the leg was never amputated. it was estimated broken about 2 years into it's life, and they found the little dog at an estimated 5 years old. that's 3 years of a broken leg, and the little thing walks around and can use the "elbow" of it to help run, and it's so sad but she's such a lap dog. we are unable to find what kind of breed she is. The vets said it's way past healing, and has in fact mended at an ~105 degree angle.
I have a three legged Norwegian Forest cat named BB. He was found in downtown Nashville TN, five weeks old and dragging a dead leg screaming for help. He chose me and i couldn't say no. I love BB.....and I love Vet Ranch and the work they do. BTW......that is BB in my pic.
I removed BB's protective cone from around his head the first day I brought him home. I sensed he would not chew the stitches out and I never once saw him try and never saw any evidence that he tried. I think he knew his leg needed to be gone.
the thing is, the people who did this to him didnt know what they ere doing. they most likely found him injured and put a bandage on his leg then left him alone and hoped it would fall of or something. if someone sould want to cut off a dogs leg they eould cut it off, not bandage it. at least in my books, anyway.
Having you tubers adopt some of these dogs sounds like such a sweet idea! I've always wanted to see how some of the VetRanch dogs ended up after they were at their forever home! It would be awesome to have some "after" footage of them taken by their forever family.
Dr. Matt i never knew you were demolition ranch, you are doing a wonderful thing with these pups, God bless you and your staff. I have ordered t shirts and will donate some money to your cause as i have funds. Awesome channel thank you for what you do.
I love how Matt's kids just expect animals like every day xD most kids just once in their lives for Christmas or something but Matt's kids, all the time.
Hank is such an outgoing dog. A fighter I say. He is adorable and I wish I could have taken him. It broke my heart to have to watch this and his leg to be amputated. But he is very brake and strong. A very happy dog with a loving home.
Absolutely not. Only in the book of Life. It's the ranching experience over a lifetime that makes that meaningful. It's a very special club for people who actually WORK for a living and automatically excludes almost all city slickers I suppose. "HANK" is one name "CHARLIE" is the other.

I always came back to this video after seeing hank now all grown up in his instagram page. He really is enjoying the life, and the fact that the guy adopted him in this video just puts me in a smile, i really can’t explain how happy this dogs life turned out to be :)
Do you guys think matt's dogs is trained to support other dogs emotionally. Because it seem that every time Matt bring a dog home, his dog gives them love and plays with them.
Any dog has an owner like Dr. Matt is going to be a happy dog. Look at Dozer, Dr. Matt's dog, he is loved by the family and he is having a wonderful life. On top of it, he has free vet care all his life.
Jarett Dewitt they probably had a good reason for putting the bandage on the leg, but then either the previous owners forgot about it (not sure how) or Hank ran way so it couldn't be removed
Jarett Dewitt you know what I want to to do to the person who did that horrible thing to the puppy I want cut off all his limbs give him diabetes and cancer and have him live so he can suffer just like the puppy
+ThatWolffe I am with you there. I was eating lunch and suddenly I saw what looked like a degloving of a foot and I felt my lunch coming back up. I said stop, stop, stop, froze the screen and fast forwarded to the adoption.
Oh my God that poor thing. You guys do so much good things for these animals. And that makes me happy that they are getting the help that they need. He gets around with the three legs so well and I am just happy to see the animals well and happy. I am a big fan of what you guys do. My dream would be to see you guys in real life face to face but I can't because I live in a different state so I can't.
@Amanda B I bet you are the type of person that abuses animals, you're probably watching this channel to see the animals you abused suffer and you're probably crying inside because they survived. Guilty people always go back to the scene of the crime, or follow through the progress of the poor innocent puppy suffering. By the way, Have you ever heard of punctuation and grammar? Exactly what you are lacking dumbass. ✌️🤣
+Diane in the shire Part of me feels like someone was taking care of him and something happened... he escaped... got stolen, the person got tired of it.... who knows... ;___;
+Poison actually that bandage on him looked more like the sticky gauze bandage used on humans. I doubt a vet would have made a bandage that tight and would have told people to change it or bring the puppy in to have it changed for them if they didn't know how or felt uncomfortable doing it. That bandaged was most likely nothing but a 'quick cheap' fix for the person people.
Amanda B Wow, how foolish are you. If they're trying to control people through religion they are doing a bad job at it. The world is trying to get people not to believe in God, and they tell you to live yourself and do whatever you want, and thats the opposite of what God wants. So to have it's to control is ridculous, and the opposite is the truth, but your blinded by the hatred in your heart, and being spiritually dead. You will die one day and better wake up before you burn in hell! You're the type of person that criticizes the Holy bible, and yet you have never read it, and that makes so much sense, lol. You believe there no God, and yet i don't know how you came up with that conclusion, So I'm guessing tou know what happens after you die. Of course you don't, but you think you're wise but really you're a fool. I say this warning in love. So you don't have to burn in hell for all eternity, and that's where you will go if you die in your sins.
awww..we saw Hank grow a little from the beginning of the video to the end. Wow....all these videos are making me cry. So pretty & inspiring. My kids help at our local pet shelter. Thank You.
This is the only channel I'd approve ads being on. They deserve to have their videos monetized - most channels really don't deserve to make money when all they do is parade their 100 bath bombs around. This channel is saving lives and they need money in order to do so. Anyone else wanna help get UA-cam to monetize VET RANCH? And before people are like 'this isn't advertiser friendly', need I remind you that Pedigree and all anti-cruelty and humane-society programs would gladly put their ads on an animal-centric, humane-centric channel? Come on, UA-cam. Prove you're not completely dying.
+Kozer H I'm blaming Da'esh for disliking this one. Really need to find a way to buy the YPJ a couple of nice rifles with good scopes, six magazines each and a few thousand rounds.
+Kozer H I've sometimes hit the wrong button on videos. It counts it as a dislike even if you like it right after, then the numbers get sorted next time it updates the counts. UA-cam has always been like that since they switch from the stars rating system.
I had a little tripod, he wasn't little he was grown but I had him for about a year and someone tried to kill him but they missed his heart and broke his leg beyond repair, about a year after his amputation my Charlie was stolen from me. As much as little Hank made me miss my Charlie boy, he made me happy to see another lively little three-legged pup.
when Alex said "Should I take home the 3 legged puppy? I need a new tripod." i DIED LAUGHING
Willow Burger yea same XD
Willow Burger I was wondering if anyone caught that
Willow Burger I felt so bad for laughing at that
Willow Burger things like that is what you feel bad laughing at
Willow Burger that I hit my self at laughing at 😕
i can not even imagine the pain, let alone the smell in that room.
+attackthecanvas ikr with that really tight bandage :( aww atleast vet ranch can help little pups or kittens like this
loloolololol
+Tuffnar Long Dong you've heard of ghost pains right? I'm just not sure if a dog's nervous system would translate pain in the same way as humans would with that.
It probably hurt before it died. It being the leg.
***** "dogs dont feel pain as bad as humans do." because this is NOT a fact. i am going to assume all your words as nonfactual. sorry.
Oh my gosh. Who would leave that little guy like that.
humans...
+Steinfliege humans everywhere...
+Steinfliege u r right
He may have just run away from home, and gotten lost. Or been the victim of a dog-napping.
He appears to have grown over the course of the video.
Everyone is talking about the tripod thing and I'm here like dam! That kid Lucy really helped out get ranch! Bless her ! :)
It wasn't much but it most likely was all the money she had. Such an awesome girl.
And remember how she earned it: cleaning up dog dirt. This girl is a **hero**. Wonder what she’s up to, these days.
This is so sad because I'm pretty sure the person that put that cast on Hank thought they were helping him. They just put it on too tight and did not change it. Hank is adorable and it makes me happy to see that he has a new happy home :)
Kenzie exactly;(
This is why people should take cases like this straight to the vet or something or atleast make sure they are treating them right so they won't accidentally make the situation even worse. This made me so sad even though he became a really happy pup
Kenzie I'm no expert but I think they put it on him when he was young so it eventually got tighter as he grew.
Oh my god poor thing. I'll never understand how any human can neglect, abandon or abuse any animal, they're so loyal and sweet
it could've been someone put a bandage on Hank for a previous injury then he ran off =/
+Firestar 2525 Tiny baby puppies do not RUN off.......just saying
Petie Chisum it was just a thought.
My puppy begs to differ.
+Petie Chisum .... ''little puppies don't run away'' .... you know that for sure, huh? Let a 40 year old adult tell you this: Never say never!
That little girl is amazing.
You can really see she was proud of herself for raising 35 bucks. As she should be! :D
+Mr. Potato instagram.com/hankthetripod/
+Mr. Potato Glad someone else was impressed by that... sometimes I see all the childish posts on here and wonder why those people watch these videos.
+richdt Because who doesn't love a good puppy rescue. Even children love a happy ending.
Agreed, awesome little girl, with an attitude like that (hard working, helping other) she'll go far in life. We need more cool kids like that :)
+Mr. Potato That's my sister, actually.
i need a new tripod lmfao im done
Hanks new owner has made an Instagram for him; just checked it out and it looks like he's having the kind of life a dog should have. Awesome to see
John Smith what is the account name
Alyssa101 It's in the description of this video
For a dog with 3 legs he is a TROOPER!!!
Eva Guerra i agree
If you’ve seen chuggaconroy then you will get this:
Chugga would say, “he’s a Steve”
Hes not a trooper, he's a cowboy.
Real question: How can you guys stomach doing this? for some reason i can watch humans get surgeries like its nothing but i cant do it so easily with animals. You guys are miracle workers
I'm a vet tech and the reason I stomach it is because I know somebody has to for the animal.
youre a great person
BigBossBob I think its sorta like your doing surgery on your best friend.. ya just don't wanna see it
BigBossBob oh! most of the videos I watched were graphic, it's not that bad, just normal?
BigBossBob i eat dinner while watching surgery footage, at this point i wonder if i am a psychopath
That’s the cutest puppy I’ve ever seen so far omg
What a sweet little girl to work hard and donate her money
Hank is beautiful. Best dog I've seen in a while.
he is!
[AGP] Peakjas your just jealous
[AGP] Peakjas shore I don't
same here he is beautiful
google "Australian Cattle Dog" :)
That seem to be one well-tempered puppy. While children are screaming and runing he just hangs around, asking some pets.

when he took off that bandage I gasp and started crying...
Julz Bee you need help
me too, some people are so messed up
35 dollars of dog poop collecting! Thats awesome. Shes a hero
Yeah, she's brave and helpful.
She sure is. Well done to her.
Sounded like he was saying she donated the dog poop to Vet Ranch :p
+Liz Kimber WAR HERO.
Awesome job, Lucy!
The tripod joke got me laughing for a good few minutes.

Lol. Silly kids, what makes you think that? :)
Cutest kids ever.
Who the hell left that cast on that poor puppy?
Alex if they are that inexperienced they should be shut down.
Alex
That's not cool. I would be pissed. You leave them with the dog sitter because you trust them and then that happens.
😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😓😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
UnicornLove it probably ran away
UnicornLove u are so mean

My neighbours have a three-legged dog, missing the same leg as Hank is, but he's great and he plays a lot with my two dogs, running around like a torpedo.

that puppy is absolutely adorable we wish him all the best
Awwwwww. That puppy is so cute. So glad you guys helped him.
I just cried seeing it try to walk...anyone else? :(
I just about.
At least he has that dead leg off and he wasn't infected! Little cutie is probably bigger and running around right now with his owner :)
its amazing how quickly animals adapt. Doing great already, in a few months it will be like nothing at all to be running around!
No. He's much better off with three legs. Dogs can walk pretty much just fine with a missing foreleg.
my grandparents have a three legged dog, except the leg was never amputated.
it was estimated broken about 2 years into it's life, and they found the little dog at an estimated 5 years old. that's 3 years of a broken leg, and the little thing walks around and can use the "elbow" of it to help run, and it's so sad but she's such a lap dog. we are unable to find what kind of breed she is. Thank you so much. He's 9 years old and he has his own black kitten now. Big Smile
Your so dear....thank you.
I removed BB's protective cone from around his head the first day I brought him home. I sensed he would not chew the stitches out and I never once saw him try and never saw any evidence that he tried. I think he knew his leg needed to be gone.
When Alex came on I thought “what did I switch videos accidentally”, backed up, and nope right video. Interesting cross over.

What a little cutie, how horrible that someone did this to him. I know you did right by him and he'll find a home quickly! 🎶✌️❤️✌🎶
I dont think this was intended to happen, but either way I agree. Poor little pup.
ya
yah 🤗🤗🤗🤗
the thing is, the people who did this to him didnt know what they ere doing. they most likely found him injured and put a bandage on his leg then left him alone and hoped it would fall of or something. if someone sould want to cut off a dogs leg they eould cut it off, not bandage it. at least in my books, anyway.

That's a little rude but a little funny just a little
Where did he say that
Adelle C: when the puppy was fixed
He is so fluffy im gonna die
Hey grandma, who's Hank the Cowdog?
*stares into distance*
Hank the Cowdog. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
shiprock • Underrated book series
My brother's lab is named after Hank the cow dog
I love the audio books, the voice acting is great.
I’ve heard he’s head of ranch security
I LOVED those books soooo much.
Having you tubers adopt some of these dogs sounds like such a sweet idea! I've always wanted to see how some of the VetRanch dogs ended up after they were at their forever home! It would be awesome to have some "after" footage of them taken by their forever family.
So sad, I bet the person who put the cast didn’t realize what danger it put the puppy in.
It hurts me because the puppy is so innocent 🐶
John Patrick A vet put the cast on, then the owner didn't take the puppy back for a checkup or to get the cast off, so it got necrosis.
Amanda B arguable for him, but definitely for you lol
@Amanda B *You're *an. Who is the idiot now?
John Patrick imagine how scary it would be to go to a weird place and wake up without one of your legs 😭😭
Caterpillar Gf
Or maybe the pup ran away after getting the cast on. I know it’s a small possibility but it’s still a possibility
6:35 i thought he was going to fall in to water.
Bewiched21 IKR
Dr. Matt i never knew you were demolition ranch, you are doing a wonderful thing with these pups, God bless you and your staff. I have ordered t shirts and will donate some money to your cause as i have funds. Awesome channel thank you for what you do.

So many bad words in kind words.
Don't know what you guys in California know about ranching, but,
A Three-Legged Cow Dog, named Hank no less, is about as good as it gets !!!
Is that a Hank the Cow Dog book reference or naw?
Absolutely not. Only in the book of Life.
It's the ranching experience over a lifetime that makes that meaningful.
It's a very special club for people who actually WORK for a living and automatically excludes almost all city slickers I suppose.
"HANK" is one name "CHARLIE" is the other.
Work is work. Whether you're a rancher or doctor in the boondocks or a janitor or doctor in a city.
So true. SO true.
Could you generalize a bit more.
I almost discerned a point in there.
Generalize?? You do realize thats what you did to the "city slickers" right? My obvious point was that ranchers aren't the only ones in the world that "actually work for a living".
I always came back to this video after seeing hank now all grown up in his instagram page. He really is enjoying the life, and the fact that the guy adopted him in this video just puts me in a smile, i really can’t explain how happy this dogs life turned out to be :)
I just realized how similar he looks to Chris Pratt
Hi.

nope. Omg your profile pic is EVERYTHING 😂

I still really hope that the people who dislike these videos are disliking the people who let this happen, or the fact that it did happen.
That's the only logical reason I can think of.
Maybe they miss the like button because they are d'awwwwwing so hard?
+Anony-moose Fish That will be it. Many times I have acidentally hit the wrong button but.... if you click it again, it REVERSES!!!
BLESS THE VET RANCH FOR THEIR HUMILITY

Do u rlly want to see man that likes to kill animals and laugh from that?!?!?! Well here you go www.liveleak.com/view?i=58c_1440838055
Alex Yeah but still
Bay Peppard someone with no heart😭😭😭😭
Meg Hults ya
He is the cutest lil fuzz ball I've ever seen I wanna cry
why would someone do that to that poor little thing
Jarett Dewitt they probably had a good reason for putting the bandage on the leg, but then either the previous owners forgot about it (not sure how) or Hank ran way so it couldn't be removed
nexus8765 Yeah good Hypothesis
Jarett Dewitt you know what I want to to do to the person who did that horrible thing to the puppy I want cut off all his limbs give him diabetes and cancer and have him live so he can suffer just like the puppy
ShadyCatGames I think he was talking about the wrap at the beginning my guy
Jarett Dewitt Someone with good intentions probably tried to help him, but did not really know how to.
Alex is hilarious. "I do need a new tripod."
My butt clenched when you took the bandage off, you should put "warning graphic butt clench coming"
Glad the puppy went to such a good home.
+ThatWolffe I thought it was the puppy's skin he was taking off because of how dead the skin was
+ThatWolffe he did
Vincent Trudel Yeah I did at first too XD.
anis nashef he put a graphic warning, what I said was a joke.
+ThatWolffe
I am with you there.

I really want to be a vet and I found this channel. I'm so happy when I'm older I can help dogs like you do. I really think it's truly amazing.
Farmer Fpv She doesn’t understand those words she hasn’t learned about that yet in the special ed class.
poor puppy-who would do such a cruel thing?Thank goodness for Dr Matt.
+Diane in the shire I know!!!! Can you imagine how much pain that poor puppy must have been in. My finger throbs if I put a bandaid on too tight.
+Diane in the shire Part of me feels like someone was taking care of him and something happened... he escaped... got stolen, the person got tired of it.... who knows... ;___;
At least they tried to help him...
+Crazyhiena Yeah, but I guarantee the person just couldn't be bothered taking it to the vet.
Finally someone who wants to bring joy to the world🙏🏻
Remember Matt is a great person
The sad thing is that originally came from careless but still people that tried to help with a band aid
DannyBoy5704 true. I guess, that's why they say "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".
maybe he just got missed while on medication in his original family?
THAT IS THE CUTEST LITTLE PUPPY I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
I WANT IT, BUT I HAVE A RUTHLESS CAT DICTATOR!!!
Imagine waking up and u've got no fucking leg. Id be so pissed haha. Poor thing, sadly these things have to be done.
atleast the pain will be gone and that leg was just dead weight anyways.
Sadly, it doesnt matter because the legs been dead and in the way for probably a notable amount of his life. The surgery just helped.
To the K9 Officer: First It was my leg now its my balls? Every time I go to sleep, bad things happen?
+Nick Matthews Luckily he's a puppy, won't be long he won't ever remember having 4 legs. He'll just think that's how legs work.
it's still better than it just keeping on rotting and causing him pain. I do agree with you tho
Aaaw, my heart can't take these videos. I'm so happy all these animals can get the help they need.
And also God bless that brave and beautiful puppy
Thank You.
Thank You, for raising kids who are caring and loving towards animals. You are making a difference in the world.
The ending to this makes me so happy
OMG that was the cutest thing ever. And I love how Hank got a new home in LA
Prove you're not completely dying.
i dont usually cry at vids on here but i shed a tear of joy for Hank! God Bless you guys for all you do
How can people possibly dislike these videos?
+Kozer H i wonder about this every video... i don´t get it.
haters gonna hate. simple
+Kozer H
I'm blaming Da'esh for disliking this one.
+Sableagle The YPJ has some nice shit. But what do they have anything to do with puppies?
What a gorgeous baby! Hank your a little prince and I’m so glad that you have a forever home! 💕
God bless you guys and the little lives you save you make the world a better place
I had a little tripod, he wasn't little he was grown but I had him for about a year and someone tried to kill him but they missed his heart and broke his leg beyond repair, about a year after his amputation my Charlie was stolen from me. As much as little Hank made me miss my Charlie boy, he made me happy to see another lively little three-legged pup.
man that dog went through tragedy!
Lee-Ann Daniel I am so sorry for your loss!
Awesome Pup it's ok☺

Dr. Matt to Hank, 'Are those girls silly?'
lol
Yep!
I am so happy he has he's forever home
I've been watching Vet Ranch videos and crying for like three hours help
Dayum - Nothing sexier than a hot vet trying to save the life of a puppy.
Matt's the hottest
that's nasty.
He looks like a healer/cattle dog.
+hebbocake yes he is cattle. He's actually cow in disguise as a puppy.
+MotherOfManyHorses He did say "Hank the Cowdog".
+JarAxe Sorry, missed that.
+dan Ha ha. Jersey or Holstein?
I started crying when he healed all the way
man that is amazing you guys do some great things for these animals its heart warming to see someone give them a chance at a good life
