Prayers for Risey ,you and the family. I watched the video last night again where Uniek and Risey are first brought together. The video is so sad with the loss of Star and of course Risey losing his mom. But when Uniek accepts Risey as her son it is such a happy feeling. I pray Risey will be ok. ❤

I’ve been reading about Wobblers Syndrome, and now have a better understanding of what Risey is going through.
It does seem early detection is helpful, and fairly aggressive treatment seems to be recommended. I’m sure that the Vets that have seen him would have done an MRI, and hopefully treatment has started.
So stay strong, and I hope that you (Yvonne) is feeling much better.

I've always loved horses (my grandfather raised quarter horses) but I am not able to be around them these days like I would like to. So watching your videos gives me so much pleasure. This morning I was watching Black Horses Lmt. And one of their horses, Anje(?) Was mentioned as having Riseys problem. She's I think about 16 yrs old but still does well. Maybe you can get in touch with them at least for support if nothing more.
I saw that video about Anja having wobblers. I was relieved to see how well she is doing and it gave me hope that RS could do the same as Anja (14 yr old) ☝😏

I know about mis naming horses. Or cats, or children. My Mom used to do it all the time. I might be called by both my sisters names before she got it right! And she didn't have the excuse of not feeling well, or looking at horses that all look alike, at least to me most of the time, at a distance, lol. I do mis name my animals as well. It's just being human. Take care of yourself! We'll still be here. I am going to send some links I looked up about wobblers. I don't have horses or experience, but something might help. You may have already been sent the same ones, but on the off chance you haven't but learn something new from them, well that would be good. All the best to you, and yours and of course Risey!

Seeing this video, after what you told us about Risey on Sunday, feels like time-travelling to a time when the world was still right. A small, cowardly part of me wishes we could stay there and Risey would be okay forever... (I know he wasn't really, not even then, but you didn't know about it yet) 😢

This was such a wonderful video Yvonne. I loved seeing your babies Rein & Tije feeding baby Yfke her milk. And Rein closing the wires. So wonderful for your sons to learn to work right alongside of you. Everyone I know had the flu here too right after our Thanksgiving Holiday. I think it’s because the weather turned colder and we were all together inside with lots of family and friends. Hope you’re 100 percent soon. When I don’t feel good I don’t get names right either. Coralle seems to have taken over the leadership of the group. Even Uniek is following her without contesting. I am so sorry about Rising Star. I looked up his symptoms online and it really does seem incurable. I do hope you have the resources to keep him alive and retired at your place. It would be such a pity, given he was saved from likely death by being adopted by Uniek, if he was put down. I sympathise with you about your illness. I am just recovering after 3 weeks of a cold which became bronchitis.
