Hongjoong always gives his own little spice to a song cover by doing a little rap. It's really cool and sometimes makes the song even better then the original😍
Seonghwa presented us the cover of 'Angel Baby' for his birthday and the video was made doing Ateez last tour. And San did this cover because it was a song he wanted to sing for someone since highschool (i personally think for himself)🥺
Ateez really is a group full of overlooked Vocalists and talented Idols in general. I'll continue to recommend you more Ateez, so you get to know them better. I'll probably give you some of Hongjooong's covers next😊

@@justwant1007 according to San and the members, he joined ATEEZ on vocals alone - he had the least experience with dance when he joined the company and was (according to himself) quite lacking until their training in the US. It is hard to even imagine seeing his performance level now to ever imagine him struggling - he's worked SO hard!
Lee Hi is a female Korean artist with really great songs!!! This song was written and composed for her by the late Jonghyun of Shinee. This song means a lot to me, and he did such a great job delivering that raw emotion ❤❤❤
San is such an underrated vocalist within his group. He is actually the lead vocalist but almost nobody outside of the fandom (or even in the fandom) knows or acknowledges it bc their company has pushed his dance performance to be the main focus, which is also incredible, but it doesn't let him showcase his vocal ability and the group songs don't help much to it either, he shines the most in covers... It took almost 5 years to get his first official solo cover and I'm so glad of all the wonderful reviews it has got and how listeners can now realize his wonderful talent! He has been my favorite voice within the group since its debut. I'm really looking forward to the company continuing to push solo projects or sub-unit projects so we can enjoy all the talent Ateez has. Thanks for the reaction Sammy!

San is prob my fav vocalist. His range and tone and color and technique...i could go on forever. Even before knowing who was singing, his parts in all their songs were usually my favorite. His voice is addictive
Jongho is INSANE, nobody is gonna dispute that. He is the Main Vocalist and has every right to be, but San is the official Lead Vocalist of Ateez and his voice is absolutely magical in its own right. His voice was one of the first things that hooked me to Ateez.

San is an amazing singer . I hope we could get more of him singing in the future
San is the official lead vocalist in Ateez but the company hasn’t really utilized his vocals in this way in the majority of their songs. And you’re right, it’s very controversial for whatever reason to mention this fact that he is the (second) strongest vocalist in the group. A lot of the fans are in denial about it and don’t like giving him credit because of his popularity.
Jongho is the official main vocalist (strongest) in the group and most people know about his voice because of his INSANE range.
I'll also suggest to check out Jongho's covers, he's the main vocalist of ATEEZ. There's a series of Jongho's ost covers. Also, he's known as the 4th gen main vocalist, it won't be an exaggeration to call him one of the best vocalist of k-pop. Also, Hongjoong has some covers too.
Also, i feel yes K-idols sound beautiful when they do English covers, but when they sing in their native language, it just hits different even when you can't understand the meaning!! Also, San's the lead vocalist of ATEEZ. Thank you for reacting to them❤

True. That's why San voice is so versatile like he can do a very angelic falsetto and raspy husky powerful high note or very deep demonic low register. That's why his voice left the biggest impact on me too. The first song that I heard is Ateez rhythm tha performance and San's high note killed me. Then I heard Answer intro. I fall in love with him since then and never changed till now. 🥹❤ hope many people appreciate his vocals more.

Many people talk about how phenomenal ateez performance is, but on vocal wise, ateez are really bunch of talented singers. They have on of best vocalist on 4th generation. They really know how to bring their own flavor and put their own color in every songs and covers ❤ atiny need to talk more about this tbh
Angel Baby truly has been such a comfort to me the past few weeks, Seonghwa is my bias but his voice truly is so soothing and this song means a lot to me.

Please watch all of Hongjoong's covers as well! I'm still not over how perfect that Numb cover was 🥺 and also Jongho's covers, his solo song Gravity and his live vocals, he's the main vocalist of Ateez and the top vocalist of 4th gen!
Ateez always makes their own version of the original song for cover song. It actually shows the k-industry how a song should be covered!
Also fun fact: Angel Baby was posted on his birthday and the whole video was shot by Hongjoong during their European tour so theres all the places they've been to!

Jongho has a series in which he covers OST’s and also has his own OSTs now as well as Ateez as a group so it would be great if you check them out sometime too.

I HIGHLY recommend that you check out all of Hongjoong's covers. He titles them with 'By. Hongjoong' and they're all so different and incredible and he always puts his own spin on them like he did with the Leave the Door Open cover. They just show off his diversity and creativity!
I love that your Patreons request such good collections! I'd recommend Seonghwa's Pink Sweats cover of 'At My Worst', Jongho and Maddox (a phenomenal KQ solo artist) covering NewJeans' Ditto, Hong Joong's cover of Linkin Park's Numb (or his cover of Fools Garden's Lemon Tree if you've seen Numb), and because it's both a dance and audio cover, their very old Growl Performance Video. I saw in another one of your comments that you’re pretty new to the fandom. Trust me, it is controversial to say that because a lot of fans are bitter about him being the most popular due to his stage presence/dancing, so they don’t want it known that he also has insane vocal chops and is second to no one aside from Jongho. They try to downplay him so much that it’s almost become comical.

@@justwant1007 Yea, It’s gotten progressively worse since 2019 when he first went viral. KQ doesn’t even push him based on how some of the other members get pushed, even though, HE is the main fan attractor. This cover is the prime example of that. He rarely gets to sing like this in their OWN songs and there are other members who have had numerous covers to his one, and it’s taken nearly FIVE YEARS to get this one.
san is absolutely amazing. my favorite voice for sure! and so happy ateez are finally releasing more stuff like this, so we can really see their skills. now just hoping for a yunho cover too
I think some people sometimes get so focused on the performance and dance aspect of ateez they they forget and overlook how beautifully they can sing! Truly some of the best vocalists

Thank you for this lovely reaction. Knowing the origin of the song that San covered here and it's impeccable timing of the release last week makes me cry every single time I hear it. The words are just so meaningful and it's words I want to tell everyone and especially to every kpop idol because it's just so real. Wooyoung raspiness in his voice is something i only noticed after hearing this cover.. and of course Seongwha has such a mature way of conveying emotions..I love that it was dedicated to us! Love all of it! That Leave the Door Open is such a fun cover and I have a bop every time I hear it! They are really extraordinarily talented at making a song their own. ❤

omg if you think sans vocals are strong, i recommend checkout out one of jonghos covers. he's actually the main vocalist of ateez and is considered the best vocalist of the 4th gen. ateez vocalists are just on another level in general, they all are insanely strong. i would go as far to say that they have the strongest boy group vocals in 4th gen.
People know that Jongho can sing. The majority don’t know about the rest of them.

would love to see you react to the group luminous. they are way too underrated. i just went to their concert on saturday and they absolutely killed it. they literally had no backtrack. 100% live vocals and their dancing was amazing. and they are all extremely lovely and fun.

@@micecrispies I understand all that but Wooyoung and especially San as the lead vocalist haven’t gotten many chances to showcase what they’re capable of like that have in these covers. Jongho takes up nearly 50% of every track they do and he’s done so many things outside of the group in comparison to a lot of them, so people already know about him.
@@timemachine5641 idk i’m not saying this video should be just jongho 😭 idk why you’re trying to make it seem like jongho’s covers shouldn’t be acknowledged too. jongho haters are too prevalent in the fandom so it’s good to eliminate that. he does way better in covers than he does in ateez songs and there’s nothing wrong with constantly acknowledging that. he’s the main vocalist, that’s his job. give attention to all of the members not just the ones who “need it more”.
@@micecrispies The exact same thing can be said about the way San is treated in this fandom too. Nobody can ever praise him without people deflecting away from him. And I’m not saying Jongho shouldn’t be praised because he should…and is. His vocal abilities overshadow the rest of the group which is why you guys mostly only bring him up in those fan wars. But it further paints a false picture of the rest of the members not being able to sing at all when it’s not true, especially in San and Yunho’s case.
