- Spector’s Bantam 5 is a medium-scale powerhouse that packs a serious punch. Like it’s 4-string counterpart, the Bantam 5 provides players with a shorter-scale instrument that does not sacrifice on build quality, playability, or tone. With a 32” scale length and a carefully chambered body, the Bantam 5 is lightweight and extremely comfortable to play. Bantam 5 basses feature the classic NS body style, which is fully carved and contoured to the player’s body using chambered European Alder and a gorgeous figured Maple top. The deep-inset bolt-on neck ensures the utmost resonance and projection, while providing an effortless playing experience with its perfectly carved neck profile and fast 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The Bantam 5 is loaded with two EMG 40DC pickups, as well as an EMG BTC active EQ circuit, allowing for maximum versatility when paired with your favorite pedals and amps.

Awesome bass. 😎🤘🏻🎸it sounds killer with the darkglass alpha omega. And it sounds nice and thick on the Aguilar amp.
Spector NS design (in general) are best looking basses to me, but I often find them sounding deep but somehow hollow at the same time, especially on the higher notes, like there's a lack of bright/zingy higher spectrum frequencies. Is it due to my headphones, or due to Darkglass circuit involved here, or is it their trademark 'growling' sound? Cheers!

I bought one brand new in 2014 it’s made in USA and it’s Awesome,running into ampeg Heritage 810 it does it all.100 percent reliable,zero issues,still on original tubes.Not much info on these,a demo or review would be cool,surprised they didn’t catch on.Been playing for 30 years and it’s
Most satisfying rig I’ve had,Fender Fotoflame P with Labella Flats straight in.Although occasionally I’ll run a b7k ultra in front depending on the gig and it stomps.Saving up for a Spector euro 4 Lt,to add a modern bass to the stable.Zzounds is indeed Awesome!!
I used to have a Rex Brown Spector bass in the holoflash color which looked awesome but I didn't like the way it sounded and sold it.
Spector was made for metal
The shorter scale makes it sound less punchier than a regular spector, I don't like it.

Bass is wicked but the name taken from batmen to bantam
Looking for a light weight 5 this seems pretty nice my fodera is way heavy
I feel like the 5th string just sounds better with a longer scale. This just doesn't sound as punchy as a 35 inch
It’s slight tho. For travel and comfort this bass still delivers and the B in person sounded pretty damn good. Definitely give one a go if you get a chance. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, Warwick licensed the design from Spector if I understand correctly. FWIW, I love both Spectors and Warwicks, but this specific design felt a little unbalanced/neck-heavy. Short-scale may or may not feel different.
