In my understanding that would mean that he's not scared to confess, express his emotions, but he's scared to *have* emotions. Obviously this meaning might change when you take in consideration the rest of the lyrics
My reply is very late but whatever LOL. This phrase only proves that Ville tends to dramatize his feelings and use an impressionistic style of language with so many references as possible. This is well received by his fans, especially since everyone can form his own opinion about it. I believe it is better not to draw any conclusions about his behavior or even his true thinking.
