I would like to see a "How It's Made" episode on those duck egg rolls. Anybody believe they're roasting Peking Duck in the back only so they can grind it up into egg roll filling? And you're spot on, don't ever trust a restaurant that has multiple Asian cuisines (unless they're really close by like Vietnamese/Cambodian).

But at least you know there's no MSG, because it would at least enhance what little flavour there is. The only place that might be worse, and I can't verify because I've never eaten there, is Nine Dragons at Epcot. If I had a choice between PF Changs and going to a random local Chinese-American place without looking at it's menu, I'm going to the local place every time. At least there I can probably get some off-menu items along with the standard stuff. As for Panda... it's quite good for what it is. There's limitations to a hot table, but once you get beyond that, the food is flavourful, it tastes like it's supposed to taste, and you don't feel like you've overpaid for what they give you.

I do like PF Chang’s in Korea though. They have a smaller menu, but it’s a better value and their food is approved by my Chinese fiancé. Looking at this food, it’s not even close to what I usually see.

Chang’s spicy chicken and lettuce wraps is good but it’s gone downhill from what it used to be. It’s DEFINITELY not Chinese food. Everything is basically breaded which is not how authentic Chinese is made. Go to LA for bomb Chinese food. Also dine in is way better than take out.
