I just want to give a little advice to my fellow mustang owners. This tuner will wake up your car, on my 2010 4.0 v6 it made a world of difference. However. Be careful to not overdo your tune adjustments. I brought my car to the strip, ran a 15.75, then I adjusted the transmission (auto) to shift later and I also increased my rev limit. It then ran a 15.65, but on my way home I started noticing a rattle. my cats had gotten way too hot because the engine revved too high. Moral of the story...Ford engines are built tough and WILL withstand these tunes...but keep in mind everything around your engine might not.
Not looking for comments like "you're an idiot for over revving the car" I know my cats failing was completely my fault. All I'm trying to say is any time u tune ur car u reduce reliability. So just be careful

The cats are unlikely directly caused by the shift points increasing, however it is a great opportunity to upgrade your exhaust system for a better flowing one
I’m not gonna lie, I bought a used unmarried SCT X4 tuner and I don’t have any tunes, so I used the little tune it comes with the device. Boy let me tell you, I wasn’t really expecting much besides being able to use my JLT intake finally but it woke my car up big time! I’m blown away, I wasn’t expecting much but it did make a nice noticeable difference for sure! Maybe not like the other tunes on the market but a huge improve from factory
U know where to get a custom tune? I just bought one too and notice the preloaded 91 octane tune really made a difference as far as drivability.

Bought this for my 2014 GT and it being Sunday bama hasn't gotten back to me with my tunes. Out of sheer boredom I tuned my 5.0 with the canned 91 octane tune. Didn't expect anything. To my utter disbelief the car runs way better. Feels totally alive and woken up below the curve much more punchy for daily driving. Also feels like it pulls harder up top. The transmission shifts hard as hell now easily breaking traction on the 1 to 2 and even 2 to 3 shift. And the one that really surprised me the most was the sound. I can't explain it. But the car sounds a little more idk mean agressive throaty something along them lines.
If bama is better than this, good lord.
I use this bad boy for a gauge instead of actual aftermarket gauges when I drift my mustang so that and all the other features it offers made it worth every penny

Just got my 6.4 powerstoke back today after a complete emissions delete intake swap and straight 4inch stainless exhaust got one of these tuners with it and tryed the race tune unbelievable crazy torque then its started raining I pretty much had to let it pull itself at idle until I switch tunes

How do you get 10hp gain when the stock was 403 and tune was 405?
That's what I'm saying like she was saying some different from what she was showing to us
At around 4K rpm it was plus 10 hp
gregory9740 curve gain is 10 hp peak is 2hp, picked up more power at mid range

Yeah the difference is not statistically significant.
Before choosing whether to go with SCT or HP, check in your area for custom tuners! You may NOT have anyone that would tune using SCT.
After you tune the car do you have to keep the tuner plugged in or can you unplug it and just put it in your glove box
If you buy this tuner from American muscle be aware the sct4 they send you WILL NOT have Wi-Fi capability and WILL NOT have a header preloaded tune.
They have this video on their website making it seem like it comes with the same features as in this video but it does not. Beware

I’ve recently added the ford performance cold air intake and slp loudmouth on my 2006 v6 mustang and now it has the engine light on which is expected but it also idles weird when you start it and won’t let you gas it 100% idk what tune to get other than that it’s fine
The ford performance intake requires a custom tune. You're running too lean (too much air not enough fuel) right now. The custom tune will balance that back out

How do I get my device to get unmarried. It’s connected to my old mustang but I have a new one and I can’t use it. What do I have to do to get it unmarried?
Taylor Asmer you have to send it to SCT to get it unmarried...
You need to plug it to your old mustang and click return to stock then it will be unmarried when completed. If you don't have the car anymore then you have to sent it to sct to unlock it .

Would this work to tune the Roush Phase 1? I'm from the UK and Roush doesn't programme the ECU. Looking to get a decent tune then take for a Dyno.

You would have to replace the sensor in the valve stem, unfortunately a tuner won't help you with that. -Justin

I wish there was a ford racing tune for my 3.7, that way I wouldn't have to worry about losing my warranty.
You dont lose your warranty if you put a tune on. The only time you lose thew warranty is if something goes wrong and the dealer can put the blame on the tune itself. If you have a tune on, and the air conditioning goes bad, its still under warrenty
MrMrwilson11 Hmmm. if something goes wrong inside the engine you don’t think ford will say it was because of the after market tune?
It would have to be directly related to the tune. You can go to the district manager for arbitration. A tune does not void the warranty by itself. For instance, spun rod bearings really dont have anything to do with a tune.

I don’t know about the S550, it doesn’t show it on the options when she tunes it on the vehicle in the video, but I have the same tuner and a 2013 Mustang and it definitely lets me turn off the rear O2’s out the box!
Is this still the best tuner for a 15 mustang gt that is stock? Looking for first tuner to get for basic hp increase. Like 20+hp or more
I would consider a Cobb Accessport. The performance gains seem to be a lot more prominent than with this tuner.

@@mrswaychocolate7492 I’m aware, but tunes are also available for these tuners that are compatible with 5.0’s. I have an ecoboost and ended up purchasing the BDX tuner and I couldn’t be happier with it.

15 HP to the wheels, about 25 HP to the crank for stock applications. With mods--it really depends, CAI, aftermarket exhaust/muffler, upgraded plugs/coils pack/wires, throttle bodies, etc.--you could see 25 to up to 100 crank ponies. I'm serious. Lmao.
