Thank you I own. 97 E350.. there's an SCT locked to a mustang that he no longer owns Its $200 now to have SCT inlock it... Is there a cheaper or DIY method i can use?
Does this make the vehicle that you have the tune on go back to stock because I want to leave the tune on the car, but just unmarry the tuner from it, is that possible
So the only way to un marry the thing is turning my vehicle back to stock? I just got it tuned via HP tuners, so I don’t need mine anymore. But I don’t want to plug it in and hit stock and have it erase my computer tune.
Hey I have an sct x4 that’s married to an ecu (which I have) but no longer have the truck is it possible to plug in ecu to a different harness and return to stock without messing things up on the other engine.
Sort of. The wiring would have to match for power and ground for your ecu first. Most important, the DLC(data link connector) would have to match also. Thats really all that matters for a handheld to communicate with a ecu. If you figure that out you could return to stock.
@@TristanDeshaies What I was saying is the communication between ecu and sct is only a few wires. If he had ecu but didn't have the car, he could hard wire the two devices together for them to communicate. Your questions- possibly. Same year and model Sn95 Mustang will have the same ecu strategy. I'm not sure if the ecu has any other coding the sct would look for.
Hey buddy I have a 2006 f250 6.0 powerstroke and I recently picked up the x4 my truck came with a tune already on it when I bought it and don’t know what was used to tune it, do I have to get the ecu flashed back to stock before I can plug it in or can I plug it in and set it to stock through the tuner, God bless
i had a question, so what if im unsure my sct has the stock tune still stored? i loaded the stock tune while having mods on the car so not sure if it erased the stock tune off the ecu?? would appreciate it thanks
Tbh I think they mess up transmissions, i Got one when I put it on my trans start fckn up I might be wrong I got a new transmission now Ima put it back on and see

You have to have the old ECU? Dang. I sold the car but kept the tuner. Guess it’s going back to SCT
Lol they out here double and tripple dipping 😂
Does this make the vehicle that you have the tune on go back to stock because I want to leave the tune on the car, but just unmarry the tuner from it, is that possible
You return it back to stock when you "unmarry" the device
What if it is married and later you had the car Dynotuned and now you want to unmarry?
@@czr_bee you would lose the tune. It goes back to stock when you unmarry
i have a act x4 also but if i return it to stock will it deprogram my truck?
It will remove the current tune and load stock tune
Compre uno usado está bloqueado tare registro Mustang 2010 casado lo quiero desbloquear
If I unmarry and return my vehicle to stock then restore the tuner to factory settings will it require me to update the tuner before using it again?
Only time you need to update firmware is when one is available. If you were to reset sct device back to factory, it would need a firmware update.
So the only way to un marry the thing is turning my vehicle back to stock?
I just got it tuned via HP tuners, so I don’t need mine anymore. But I don’t want to plug it in and hit stock and have it erase my computer tune.
Only way without SCT unlocking it

@@SN95Powerwhat does that mean? 2 different cars same model and year would work?

So once it’s married to my ecu would I be able to put all different kinds of maps on that ecu or will I only be stuck with certain maps ?
It's open to custom tunes.

You didn't erase a stock tune from the sct handheld unit. When you connect, you should have a return to stock option
Thank You! I have one on a Grand Cherokee and unmarrying the old computer and replacing the computer. Big help..
I have a new one $300 SCT X4 7015
Does this work for all mustangs or just new edge
I've only used it on 4th Gen Mustangs
Hey I have a x4 and I don’t have the ecu it was on my 2016 mustang now I have a 2019 can I plug it to the port and put it factory
So the 2019 has a tune and you want it back factory and you have a x4 that you tuned your 2016 with, correct?
@@SN95Powerhes asking if you were to put another ecu to stock would it unmarry the device?
El mío lo compré bloqueado como lo puedo desbloquear
Send it to sct and they can unlock it.
It means I can only unmarry 5 times? Or is it means I can use one device with 5 cars at the same time?
Unmarry 5 times. One car at a time.
@@SN95Power you unmarried x4 on your video but your unmarried status doesnt change, you still have a 5 unlock?

Hope it doesn't mess up the new transmission
Yeah it can. I had a super chips tuner on my 2011 F150 those transmissions are pretty strong well Shortly after running that tuner my trans went out
I heard those H&S are notorious for messing up a transmission
I use one for my 94 v6. 94-95 v6 mustang came with the obd2 from factory, the v8 did also but they dont work. Great video! We all can save money now.
When this car was a V-6 I had a tune on it with a X3 SCT
