Let me educate you on ancient history for a minute. Thank me later. Way before Africans were enslaved by Europeans, Jews were enslaved by the ancient Roman Empire, mostly from the First Century BC to the Second Century AD. Some of those Jews were taken by the Romans from Israel (Judea, literally meaning land of the Jews aka the same land that is the state of Israel today). Some Jews were able to stay in Judea and the surrounding land in the Middle East. The Jews who were taken by the Romans on slave ships- (yes, African people aren’t the only slaves who ever existed in the world)- eventually made it to where modern day Italy now stands. Jews even built the Colosseum while they were being enslaved by the Romans. Eventually they broke free from slavery and immigrated all over Europe. Some settled in Spain and Portugal - those Jews are called Sephardic Jews and look Mediterranean with olive skin. Some settled in Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Belarus, etc) and are what are known as Ashkenazi Jews. They appear white, but that is because of the centuries of forced migration away from Judea/Israel - their indigenous homeland. Along the journey they were raped and intermingled with the European population- so of course they look European- but they were ostracized by non-Jews in Europe and forced to live in segregated villages called shtetls. Most of the Jews you see in the US emigrated here from Europe, which is why people in the US perceive Ashkenazi Jews as “white”. But they are descendants of the Jews from ancient Judea, same as the Mizrahi Jews who thankfully were able to remain in the Levant and broader Middle East. I've never heard of this slave ship, but it is correct that after the destruction of the 2nd temple, jews were exiled from Israel, & slowly migrated into western Europe Germany. Way before Africans were enslaved by Europeans, Jews were enslaved by the ancient Roman Empire, mostly from the First Century BC to the Second Century AD. Some of those Jews were taken by the Romans from Israel (Judea, literally meaning land of the Jews aka the same land that is the state of Israel today). Some Jews were able to stay in Judea and the surrounding land in the Middle East.
The Jews who were taken by the Romans on slave ships- (yes, African people aren’t the only slaves who ever existed in the world)- eventually made it to where modern day Italy now stands. Jews even built the Colosseum while they were being enslaved by the Romans. Eventually they broke free from slavery and immigrated all over Europe. Some settled in Spain and Portugal - those Jews are called Sephardic Jews and look Mediterranean with olive skin. Some settled in Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Belarus, etc) and are what are known as Ashkenazi Jews. They appear white, but that is because of the centuries of forced migration away from Judea/Israel - their indigenous homeland. I've never heard of this slave ship, but it is correct that after the destruction of the 2nd temple, jews were exiled from Israel, & slowly migrated into western Europe Germany.
