Mine has been in a very similar accident. Been sitting in my garage for almost a year now. This may have been the motivation I needed to get this thing fixed.
Go for it! It’s not really that bad, finding parts might b the tricky bit unless you buy OEM but plenty people break them for parts so hopefully won’t be too hard to find 👍🏻
@@DaveRebuilds I’m going to do my best! Seems the hardest part may be getting the panels to line up correctly. You made it look like light work!
@@STEGZI lol yeah that can be a nightmare, lots of putting on and taking off and minor adjustments, takes a fair bit longer than an edited UA-cam video 😂👍🏻

With the rebuilds that you do/have done, I would imagine these have been either cat C, D, S or N, and are structurally safe enough to put back on to the roads again, once declared by the DVLA, and also are you a mechanic? I do love the content and the rebuilds, and they are amazing. I've also watched some earlier vids and content about learning minor stuff such as brakes and servicing on my own car and it's certainly helped a lot. Keep up the awesome content as always Dave. Love it
Thank you! So if it’s a Cat C or N, it doesn’t need an MOT after repair, it can go straight back on the road. Cat S cars have to go through an MOT before being allowed back on the road 👍🏻

That paint job looks amazing, how did you get such a great finish doing it in your garage and not a booth, amazing.
It wasn’t as good as it appeared on camera unfortunately, but I know where I went wrong so plan to change a few things to get a better result next build 👍🏻. Won’t ever be as good as a proper spray booth, but getting closer lol

I just used a tree stump ratchet lol, not exactly “professional” but did the job nicely 👍🏻
When you say long jack, do you mean the ramps I use to put the car in the air? If so they are by a company called quick jacks😃

I probably won’t get another one tbh dude as they just don’t have enough power to be fun! That being said, they can be turbo converted but that’s like £4K more lol

All OEM except for the airbox yes
@@DaveRebuildslast week somebody hit my parked brz and didn't even leave a note or anything. Going through insurance but not sure if they are going to give me OEM parts or not
@@isaacbrock00 in the UK, insurance companies need to repair back to OEM by law, assume by your profile photo your from 🇨🇦 so not really sure what the laws are, but hopefully they r the same!

@@davidashley4386 ah sorry dude, I’ll make a point of mentioning at the start of each build which ones are for sale! I usually sell them all tbh as I have to use my savings to pay for them so need the money out of them to fund the next build! I’m selling the GTR if that’s of interest 👍🏻

Yeah was a nice car when it was done! Just a shame it didn’t have a more powerful engine! Would have really benefitted from a gc8 wrx turbo engine or similar 👍🏻
