SCP-4666 is currently believed to be a single, exceptionally long-lived humanoid entity of unknown origin. Survivors of Weissnacht Events typically describe SCP 4666 as a very tall elderly male of European descent, with an extremely emaciated appearance. The entity always appears completely naked, even when observed outdoors in freezing weather. Though the nature and extent of its anomalous properties remain uncertain, SCP4666 appears capable of instantaneous or near-instantaneous travel to any location north of 40°N latitude, and possibly to any location on Earth.

Best way to stop the Yule Man:
1. Once reports of a mystery stalker start appearing around a certain location, have the Foundation send it a special task force to monitor the area and even bug houses if necessary.
2. If a strange figure is spotted near a house, the family will be moved somewhere safe while special agents disguise themselves as replacements. The children will be switched out with replacement children and have their rooms converted into steel tight panic rooms. All the while this new family sets up high tech traps and weapons around the house.
3. During the final nights all traps will be set, and agents, both inside and outside the house, will be at the ready.

I think the scariest part of this SCP is that it doesn’t completely rely on anomalous powers to do its work. Something like this could very well happen in real life. It’s a really well done SCP, and imo one of the scariest in the wiki.

After reading the reports and watching few videos about him, i came to a conclusion that you may not kill yule Man, but you can try stopping him for a bit longer than expected.
Once your start to notice the yule man very close (footsteps stage), this is when preparation can start
If you're lucky and agents are straight-forward, they'll tell you all the details about what's coming. Firstly the scp was not proven to be able to teleport, although it was said it could target multiple placed at the same time, meaning it could either make copies of himself, or there's just more than one yule man. That lack of translocating abilities makes the scp pretty vunerable when caught.
Foundation should equip home with some more basic traps that use either their own power source, or no power at all. If they won't be straight forward, they should act disguised as some governor eradicators, coming to hunt something like a pack od wolves terrorizing the area. It is so the family won't question anything (yule Man will 100% try disabling electronics, so manual traps like bear trap and tripwires will work just fine, when set up (once you KNOW you're the target) as fast as possible right when the scp is detected).
Once you know the yule man is coming tonight (you can recognize him by the patterns he makes when approaching home: when in gifting state, his eyes are dead-looking, grin is no longer there, tries making as little noise as possible, even may take cookies and milk when leaving. Killing state means he'll be loud, cackling like trying to hold laughter, and with the well-known face), prepare the traps, place some GoPros with live transmitting function here and there, and record, document, write down everything about him. If foundation can't have him, they can at least have footage on how it reacts to things you prepared.
With weapons, don't use guns as they won't work. Instead use something to slow him down, like a net, metal security Doors, or trapdoors with cages underneath (if your parents agree to such a modification to your home).
Make sure to implant (to make sure yule man Doesnt know he's tracked) the child with some advanced geolocation tracker as ,,means to avoid him from getting lost" (once it all fails and yule man takes the child, it will point on where do the children end up at).
Finnally prepare some getaway vehicle if you plan on escaping, presumebly something you can instantly Get on, like a motorbike.
Agents could either stay nearby or just monitor everything from inside (if you 100% know you are about to be struck).
Finnally, once you're all ready and the night is about to begin, make sure your pets are sent somewhere safe. Not because yule man will kill them (as he was proven he's generally harmless towards animals), but because they'll be so traumatized by the visit they'll just Die out of stress. Alongside give back any sharp objects in your house to make sure yule man will be forced to bring his own tools, slowing him down when he Has to carry them. Make sure to also target the bag if he has one filled, in case he got away, so you'll save whoever was abducted.
Additionaly include all safety measures presented in this video, just in case.
Once it begins, few things may happen:
1. Yule Man is successfully trapped inside one of several traps in home, and the lack of teleportation theory is successful, meaning foundation captured one instance of yule Man, finnally being able to research it.
2. Yule man avoids the traps but is approached by the agents, so it leaves quickly, perhaps after losing the bag. You saved the family and perhaps saved some evidence for the scp foundation like footage and the bag, but the yule man is still on the run.
3. Yule man breaks through defenses and makes his way inside the home, but the child did get away. Make sure the child enters a populated area, which will fend him off due to many people being near. You saved the child and got some evidence, but the family is still unsafe unless you managed to Escort them out.
4. same scenario but yule Man ended up taking the child away. You didn't save the family, but once the yule Man is gone from house, tell the coops to turn on the radar for this specific frequency, in order to track down his exact Path, or at least where it ends. Repeat it few times. If the place where signal is lost is exactly the same, then you found their lair. If not, then there are either several entrances, or they do in fact teleport. You didn't save the family, but you did get the neccessary evidence you would need.
5. Yule Man saw the defenses and decided it wasn't even worth going inside, so he leaves. You saved the family, but you scared off the yule Man, ruining his day, plus no evidence.
6. He was in his gifting state. You did collect the evidence of him being there, plus you saved the family, but the traps were unneccesary and a huge waste. Even worse than that would be to explain everything.
Edit: there exists another scenario where the scp Doesnt show up at all, and instead just goes to disable the agents support (to make sure he isn't interrupted). It would cause some chaos once reinforcements arrive, but if foundation escorts the family away, you should be safe and the containment procedures can begin, although the no-teleport theory Has to be proven
Seems to be some sort of wicked fey beastie. Magical but prefers to overwhelm with brute force. I think it can teleport but in a limited way. It can always retreat to its den when it wants to but traveling elsewhere is more problematic. Needs to wait until it's power is at its strongest. This may be why attacking it is pointless as well. At the point it actually confronts anyone it is so protected by the power of that moment that it can just shrug off normally lethal injuries. The whole thing is a ritual of some sort. Even down to the choice to leave presents or have its way with the family. My guess is if the family performs the ritual successfully, despite having no knowledge of what is going or context for the event, Yule man leaves gifts as a reward for fending him off. If they do not then the protections drop and the demented monster can indulge itself as it likes. Unfair as no knowledge about any aspect of the event remains but seems to me learning what constitutes a success or failure should be top priority. As the vicious creature doesn't seem to violate the rules no matter what. So would be super easy to defend against if any knowledge could be gleaned about this horror.

I live in the northern hemisphere, my town sometimes gets snow, but it rarely sticks, my town is suburban, and I’m the youngest in my household and even then I’m a teenager! This is one of the only scps that genuinely terrified me, not even 096 could!

Honestly, great horror story and a way to introduce someone to the SCP universe if you know someone is into things fictional, outlandish, horror, thriller and all that good stuff. Although many other SCPs from similar theme and category would work :)

106 would see him as competition and would let it suffer than the yule man could ever. They would never team up. Their pride, narcissm and sadistic tendencies wouldnt let them.
@@ketamineheadyoda2248 you're probably right but it's genuinely hard to tell who is more powerful. Both clearly have very little vulnerability and have highly ambiguous origins, if the Dr.scranton theory is correct then they're both essentially infinitely old but if the uncle Larry theory is correct the yule man is MUCH MUCH older. They both have the ability to exist in higher /different dimensions and travel in ways people don't understand. What do we really know about either of them? We know 106 creates something very very Corrosive and can control his dimension, we know 4666 is impervious to the elements and external damage way stronger than his appearance suggests and is clearly capable of some of his own dimensional manipulation/pseudo teleportation. The fact is 106 is in a cell and 4666 isn't. Granted it's assumed 106 is basically contained of his own volition but they do have SOME containment measures for getting him back in when he decides to breach but they've never even seen 4666 so I'm leaning towards him coming out on top in that confrontation but who really knows. that's the thing with fiction whatever isn't penned can only be assumed and it's more likely meant to be ambiguous to let you theorize for yourself because if the people who came up with the ideas wanted to cement canonical abilities/limitations they easily could have and would have. I'm just saying it's an interesting thought. There's a million 096vs682 tales and theories to the point it gets so tiresome. This channel literally did a 096 vs sonic the fuскing hedgehog video i almost broke my nose cringing. It'd definitely be an interesting confrontation or alignment for sure. Wtv the outcome.

i love this concept! part of what draws me back to this channel is the exploration of deeper individual experiences with the SCPs, but hearing a how to survive different SCPs takes the classic storytelling we all love and lets us appreciate it in a different way!

The fight wouldn’t be close: scp 106 is a super strong old man who has corrosive acid all over him that only hurts his victims he also can walk through walk walls. Scp 4666 is barely able to survive 50 cal guns while 106 cannot even feel miniguns loaded with 50 cal.

Yule man is an ancient being with more than a thousand years of experience in killing yet it runs away when 5 MTF with AKs show up, maybe he ran into the Foundation before and knows what they are capable of and the kind of experiments they would make on him if they manage to catch him.
