Very interesting machine, I have a Birch. I take it to car shows and play it on the running board of my Model A. Brings people around. Do you sell these? I'd like to get one someday.
I sell when I run out of room for new machines, I have some for sale now, will have more later. I have so many that when I decide to keep one then something else has to go. I have used some of the portables with my Model A also.
@@Rockisland1903 Glad you have an A, what year and model? I have a 29 Huckster truck. Look up Brian's Barn on you tube, it's on there. If you have a nice 101 for sale I'd be interested. I live in Carlisle Pa, you?
I am working on several 101's now, I can come up with one to sell. I am putting new mainsprings in them., servicing everything else. Contact me at rockisland1903victrola@gmail.com. I am about 60 miles north of NYC, the 101 is not difficult to ship by mail. Some machines I would not consider shipping, but the Swiss portables, VV-35 Victrola, and the HMV 100-101-102 are no trouble. 1930 Deluxe five window coupe. Original car restored in the 1960's and again in the 1990's and now starting to look original on the outside again. I also have a 1925 T runabout.
In 1938 my late employer used an A huckster to haul firewood into town to sell. It helped his family survive the last years of the Great Depression. He passed in 2019 and still regretted selling that A, but he was going off to fight the Nazi's, and knew he would be gone some time, needed the money.
@@Rockisland1903 Are you going to the Wayne show? I lived in Newburgh and Rosendale. Grew up on LI, friends with Peter Dilg. I was at Stewart Air base for 6 years. Oh you crazy man! you have a T! I will contact you through e-mail. I would like one of those machines, we'll talk! Brian
