A couple of years ago, I rescued a sad, OVERWATERED plant from Lowe's. Removed rotting roots, let it air dry a few days. Planted in a terra cotta pot, and cactus soil. It has been HAPPY ever since! Excellent video - thanks.
This is the perfect video! I was just doing research to make sure I don’t kill my baby snake plant and this popped up because I subscribed from your shorts. Thanks!

This is the first video I few from you. I appreciated it very much as you said you would also use cactus soil if it was a healthy plant. Not necessarily because of the information itself (I knew that already) but I love that you are careful to make sure people understand why you do things. All together it seems your are careful with what you explain and are really invested in help us to make our plants happy. Thank you :)
How deep do I put the leaves and roots; in other words, how far up the plant should I put the cactus soil? Should the soil be several inches up from the root juncture, to support the leaves?
Popped over from TT to subscribe and to see exactly what you did to rectify this situation! Mine is leaning and is probably due to under watering. So off to the store to grab some cactus soil and some new pots… also, Thanks for the “Slap that pot” 😂Good to know it’s over here as well!
Thank you for the video. My snake plant is slightly leaning. Will get soil and pot and take care of that right away. Can you please tell me what plant is that in the back?
@tannertheplanter4213 tannner the reason i have this plant is because i live in a basement with only a small bathroom window facing the alley. I have ine that uses a plant light. The other doesnt. I got the santevia because I was told they were low light. I suspect mine are underwatered and they do lean. Small roots. I want to save them. I have had for two years. You showed about pots and mine are big. I guess I will downsize them. But as far as light, would another plant light do? I have to figure a way to hang it tho
Is it 10% or 10 vol? I've never heard of 10% peroxide but 10 vol is 3%. It usually goes in multiples of 3. 3% = 10 vol, 6% = 20 vol, 9% = 30 vol etc 3%/10 vol is the most common and you usually find it in your local pharmacy in the first aid section. Hope this helps!
Having said that you could dilute it with distilled water to achieve a lower percentage. If you have 10% and do a ratio of one part h2o2 to two parts h2o you will effectively make 3%. At least that's how it works in hairdressing. If you're out of 20 vol and mix equal parts 10 vol and 30 vol it makes 20. I would only do it as you need it though as it might decrease the effectiveness over time.
Thus helped so so much. Have a about 5 of these and over this summer that have all started to fall. I think I'm introuble. But this helped me understand and tomorrow's job. Thanks
You are like the Bob Ross of plant care. So encouraging, informative and chill. Thank you. I'm pretty sure I can help my poor snake plant now
great video and exactly the information I needed!! and the unflinching eye contact during "slap that pot" was the perfect touch 😂😂😂

I love the clear and logical explanation you provide about soil and air pockets. Thanks!
Thank you for explaining so it's easy for this plant dummy to understand!❤

Great video! I’ll be slapping the pot now 😂❤ This is exactly why some of my plant is leaning, appreciate your knowledge!

Desperately needed this exact video !! Thank you !!
But what if the leaning is caused by underwatering in stead of overwatered? Do you do the same thing?

Hahaha thank you so much! Happy planting!
Great explanation. I needed this.

Tanner thanks for the video! After following these steps do I still water the snake plants into their fresh new soil/pot?
This is the video I needed! Thank you! #Subscribed 😌

I can't source the 3% h2o2, it's always the 10% concentration.
How to convert it to 3%?
Thanks for the high quality content.🎉

AWESOME, THANK YOU SO~ MUCH!
I'm an Erika stan but respectfully watching for Tanner in a backwards hat (and because I have five snake plants now... whatever!!)
Can you tell me who Erika is please?
@@KLynn-mr9xd his wife! The coolest, sweetest person and she’s really funny.
Will doing this process also help with the leaves that are more floppy? Will the leaves reharden or do you need to trim?
If the leaves have flopped and bent from the spine, they aren't gonna become straight .

How do I fix a plan thats really skinny with larger fat tops. Google says they lack the sun, no root rot or anything, just skinny like a bean lol
❤❤❤
I put my snake plant in a smaller pot and it tipped over lifting the dirt
My snake plant dropped a leave because I suddenly left her alone in the sun..
Had to cut it done...
