    That tantrum made me laugh and cry at the same time. My kids are 11,15,19 now, so well past the tantrum stage. Now when I hear tantrums out in public I feel compassion, and I sure didn’t feel that way back then 🤣.

      Even at that age they can still have tantrums. But they are way more embarrassing.

    When my daughter was about 3 years old we were at the airport and they gave us a ride to our gate on one of those golf cart things. She wanted to climb on it herself and we were trying to hurry so I lifted her up and told her she could get off by herself when we got to the gate. When we got to the gate my natural instinct to lift her off the golf cart took over and just as I realized what I'd done she went into banshee mode because she wanted to get down by herself. I tried to put her back on and nope, she wasn't having it. She screamed at the top of her lungs and would not stop. She had never done anything like this and it sounded like I was murdering her😆Everyone was staring at us and there was no consoling her. My friend had a cup with something in it and he started showing it to my son, making a big deal out of whatever was in the cup and that was the distraction we needed. She wanted to see but he told her she couldn't look while she was upset. She stopped screaming.👏

    Back in the 70's when I was 4 or 5. My family would go to the Eatons Center in Toronto. I'd have these tantrums laying on the floor wailing away. My parents and sister would just carry on and ignore me. I then found myself totally alone with no family members in sight. Now my tears were of true fear. A passerby would take me to the information booth. They would announce over the speakers lost boy Peter is at the information booth.
    I remember this happening on many occasions. Thank goodness I'm here to tell the tale. Love your vids. Missing your mum though.

      That could have been handled better. While you can't stop children from being children; talk to her at home and explain we sometimes look different and it's just different. Use Google image and have some saved examples. If they do it in public again, squat down and very quietly say " she has a birthmark on her face doesn't she" and talk to the girl for a few seconds....it's a teaching moment. I've worked with people disabled for SO many reasons since before my kids were born and they would RATHER people do that than what you did: they aren't ashamed of how they look and kids are CURIOUS and should know different is ok

  • @TheTuesday11
    @TheTuesday11 2 місяці тому +1

    I only had one start of a tantrum and my Daddy taught me very quickly that was not appropriate. He did NOT abuse, be just applied the board of knowledge to my seat of understanding. 🤣 It worked, I did not need that lesson more than once. Tantrums happen when parents allow the child to think they are in control and are the authority. There’s a reason we don’t allow people to drink until 21, vote at 18, choose if they go to school or not. They are too young and immature to make wise decisions. Yes, we should listen to our kids, but don’t put the pressure on them where they believe they are in charge and have the responsibility, that’s the parent’s duties.

    Remember Dave, first it is always condition, condition, condition (with anything you are thinking about buying). In the case of the purses; are all the beads there, is the metal unscratched and not rusty, does the mechanism work, is the lining intact and installed correctly and not soiled, and is it signed ( makers tag inside). Older styles will have nicer glass beading, tassels, sometimes metal beads (if real silver, are pricy). That should give you a start. 😀👍

    7:03 MCM Empoli Genie bottle decanter in amber WITH the stopper. Amber is generally the most common, along with green, but they sell well. Always look for the stoppers. Sometimes, depending on color and pattern, they can sell for more than the decanters.

    My son saw 2 very large ladies outside a local supermarket. At the time he was into monster trucks. "LOOK MUMMY MONSTER LADIES" aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh I could write a bloody book. My personal favourite is when you're telling them to stop screaming and shouting and random passersby tell you you shouldn't have children. Get stuffed, random childless idiots. He's 23 now, doing his master's: mum1 idiots 0. Love on ya Dave from the UK. Again!!

    Hi, Just imagine having a kid at the ripe old age of 14 still throwing tantrums and not wanting to walk. Very difficult to deal with. Especially the looks from people. But to there surprise, I usually get the last laugh when they discover my son has Down Syndrome. LOl…. How embarrassing for them. It is a struggle that I wouldn’t change for the world. It is what it is and a God given blessing. What a wonderful gift. You just need a whole lot of patience and understanding Unfortunately some people don’t have either. Or common sense for that matter. LOL…. Have a blessed life, and take care! Not referring to you in any way. (About the common sense thing) I have just been through a lot with my son. With too many strange people. Bye! I apologize for going off topic.

    The second bag that you picked up should be good. I sold on for around 80. The metal can be silver and can be signed. Fringe is good, micro beading. Not sure about the rip but even ripped they can be money.

    I believe you keep calling your friend "Jen"? Next time you speak with her give her this tip. Stand with the back of your feet against a wall. Place your back on the wall and then slowly lay your head back until your heels, back and head area touching the wall. Then raise your arms up and out like cross. Finally bring your hands to your chest and hold this for 2 mins. Breath deep and with every breath relax your lower back closer and closer to the wall. Do this every day and it will help significantly with your posture.
    I have spondylitis and my doctor had me do this to help my break up the junk in my spine. Medication has things turned around for me but my posture was terrible after years of back pain. Your friend may not like to hear that her posture is awful...so blame me. Tell her some ahole on youtube told you to tell her to look into it.
    In 20 years she is going to be using a walker if she keeps going the way she is going. The convo will be uncomfortable but ask yourself this....if you could prevent her from ending up using a walker in 20 years would you? She may not even listen....but at least try.

    That isn't even smart clickbait.Your vids are about yard ales flea markets reselling etc not fighting.Know your crowd why people watch your vids, a epic find worth hundreds is targeted click bait. Violence broke out almost made me not click the video I wanna watch vintage stuff not flea market drama or a fight. That be click bait in the negative way. Use a vintage toy as click bait that targets who would watch your vids and gets them to click.
