Exactly. The video is so bizarre but for some reason the lyrics and this video are extremely relatable. As I've grown older, the more and more I relate to this song. I used to live how I want and now so many different people think so many different things about me and tell me my wants and needs. The stretching in the legs reminds me how I'm constantly going back and forth between what I feel deep down versus what I've been told, and how I know what I want but I don't feel like I can get it or trust myself. It's a lot about exceptions and being told you have to do things in a certain way even though you don't want to and have your own way but now you're doubting it and you don't know what to believe or who to trust.(At least for me).

I heard this song for the first time ten years ago, in my Creative Writing class at Murray High School in Utah. Every week, students would play a song of their choosing to the class, and we would then discuss the lyrics together. This song was picked by a girl named Pilar, who told us a bit about Marina, and why she liked her. I often wonder, had I not learned about Marina that day, if I would have become a fan of hers. Would it have taken years for her to get on my radar? I'm glad it happened when it did.
