Might be worth putting in the titles that these videos are for 2nd Edition as newbies might not realise there is a difference from 1st Edition. Good teaching video. Well done.

Such a great video!! I have a hard time understanding the wording of the rules when they're written sometimes. Even when i ask a question online, and people try to explain it... although I appreciate the help, i usually return to my initial question ,but with more confusion.

Q. I flew inferno Sq last week (with Soontir) and I caused one 'damage' but only to an X wings shields. Does this mean that the ship is 'Damaged'. I ask because Hask was next to shoot. Does his pilot ability come into play. "while you perform an attack against a damaged defender, roll 1 additional attack die." We decided that it did not as shields can be regenerated back to full health and no damaged cards were on the ship. I was a bit concerned that Husk ability was highly reduced but luckily he came good late game and won me the match. ps afterburners on adv tie's are pointless, my big mistake)

The rules reference says that a ship is considered "Damaged" if it has a face up or face down damage card on it. So missing shields isn't Damaged.

I do have 1 question though, towards the end of the video Jek Porkins only gets 2 evade die while the tie fighter shoots through an asteroid, is he not counted as having cover?
More specifically is he not counted as being obstructed by said asteroid.”?

Yes. :) I have just moved home (one of the reasons I took a break from this series) and am working on getting a good permanent setup for recording on the tabletop. Once I've done that I'll work through all of these.

They are coming. :) Need a sufficient gap in the schedule to get these done, they take much longer to produce than most of my content.
If my x-wing has movement and need to overlap with he tie fighter and the maneuver ruler ends after the fighter what is going on..?!
If the movement template overlaps a ship, but the moving ship can be placed on the opposite end without touching the overlapped ship, then the maneuver is executed normally. Nothing is "bumped" and you can then execute your action as per usual.

2:48 - Correction. A Ship is 'within' range 1 if the *entirety* of it is inside range 1. A ship is 'at' range 1, if any part of it, is in range 1.
16:32 - You don't "skip over the engagement phase". The ships still engage, they just cannot perform attacks.
