Were you ok after filming this. There were clearly a lot of zinc fumes. You can get metal fume fever from this and feel very sick.
They should really wear activated carbon filter respirators, those metallic fumes are no joke to be around.
I thought Japan would be more strict on safety standards, unlike other videos I've seen from Pakistan and the like.

This is type of work I learned in Trade School late 1960’s-70’s. Sad we don’t teach this anymore.
With unionization it’s hard to get in a trade unless you’re Union, it’s hard to get in a Union unless you have a Union job…🤷🏼

I wish they had shown how the first half of the sand mold was made. At around 1:05 it jumps straight to him putting the pattern down in an already rammed flask. Usually these would be done with a matchplate or two part pattern and and in those cases it's clear how both the cope and drag are rammed up. With the patterns used in this vid (what are these types of patterns called?) It's not clear how he got that first side rammed up because it doesn't show it. Could someone with some experience in these types of patterns explain this? Thank you.
