Why did you choose saint brakes for a trail hardtail if you are all about light weight? It wouldve been lighter to do xtr or xt 4 piston brakes or maybe even 2 piston if you dont need that much power.
Was thinking about upgrading the brakes and rotors on my Orbea Occam to XT but I may skip and highly consider TRPs. Came with SLX. They're good but I do feel I want a stronger bite.

Spread the brake pads apart from one another before rotor installation next time.

Nice bike. I wanted the Roscoe 9. But I purchased a Canyon Spectral 125 CF8 in the end. The Canyon was about $300 more.
I have a Roscoe 9 3 weeks ago, just upgraded to P&W loom Lx moss green grips for better feel.

SLX are just as strong as XT bro, just one less adjustment and feature. Don’t waste your money bro. Just get bigger rotors and finned pads.

You definitely needed to reset the caliper pistons when installing the thicker rotors
