    Hey Bradley, thanks for the tip regarding doing leg extensions first in order to get blood into the legs. I usually start off legs with squats followed by bicep curls and lat pulls then I don't hit legs again for a month. Real talk.

      +TrickyMicky123456 I could never do the olympic hand position style until I just forced myself to do it with light weight for a while. Do it at least once a week for about a month or two and your wrists will adjust and become more flexible. Exactly the thing that happened to me and I've been so happy because crossing my arms brings a lot of pain with heavier weight, but the olympic style lets me focus on contracting and moving rather than how much it hurts.

    • @BAYWEAREA
      @BAYWEAREA 9 років тому

      Me neither! I have a weird technique. I put my thumbs under the bar, with my fingers (over the bar) pressed against my jaw/face. Pretty much my palms are on my face/jawline, and I try and keep my elbows pushing towards the ceiling. Looks crazy, but it's the most comfortable position I've found since I have had wrist surgery and 0 wrist mobility. I have a front squat video on my channel if you're interested in seeing my hand position.

    I think I'm going to work in some of these exercises! Prob do preacher curl instead of quad extensions tho. And skull crushers instead of ham curls. And prob do concentrated curls instead of dumbbell dead lift. Might end up doing over head tricep extensions instead of front squats as well. Im not a fan of the Bradley Martyn deadlift, so i'll just do standing barbell curls instead. 21's instead of walking lunges for sure tho. But yeah, I think this work out is going to help my 'legs' get a lot stronger! Thanks Brad!

    What leg workouts to do for weak or injured knees

    • @tommcdaddy1467
      @tommcdaddy1467 9 років тому

      Depends on the actual injury, try and see a physiotherapist. Remember weak knees doesn't mean you're injured and still can't train on them.

    • @pinkyandthebrain99
      @pinkyandthebrain99 9 років тому

      +Tom Mcdaddy absolutely, variated squats with free weights actually helped my knees, they no longer swell from standing for hours at a time, pop, or shooting pain after running ... I'm trying to build up my calves though big time.

    • @BassNBucks
      @BassNBucks 9 років тому

      I always had like anterior knee pain, iv laid off of it for awhile now but the pain comes back every now and then, and i hyper extended my knee a coupld months ago and still can feel the pain. havent worked out my legs in a year like actual weight lifting. What do you guys suggest i do ?

    • @ArcadianWarrior
      @ArcadianWarrior 9 років тому

      +yangstaboi101 I have a really fucked up left knee but what I found is that I can still do squats and other leg workouts, I just have to warm up A LOT. So before I work legs I'll get on the bike elliptical for 10 minutes and then before I do back squats, it actually warms my knees up to do front squats or box squats beforehand.

    • @BassNBucks
      @BassNBucks 9 років тому

  • @davable2505
    @davable2505 9 років тому

    Hey Bradley. You've probably answered this alot but was there a point in time where you rapidly improved your squat and deadlift? Or has it just been small increases over the last 10 years. I ask because I've always been a volume trainer but I just turned 30 and I realized how unsatisfied i am with my leg strength.

      Jake H Yea i can go as much deeper as possible literally to the floor. The problem is if its possible to get my knees under my toes. I have watched many of Bradley's videos and most of them i see his knees not under the toes. Maybe its not a problem, i watched some videos too( Candito for example) that this is just a myth and if you are very tall, its not necessary.
