Franky I genuinely don't know why you decided to create another channel to focus on non-review, gaming news commentary and retrospective content when it would've made much more sense just to branch out on this existing channel that you've spent years cultivating an audience on at this point. I really don't think the content you produce on Sticky Man is so jarringly different from what you used to post here that it would necessitate a second channel.
I kind of wanted a fresh start, with no backlog of videos that would discourage someone from subscribing as i felt the content was pretty different from the stuff i made on here however in hindsight the more i make it the more i feel like it could go on this channel so i think you are right, that being said youtube is very weird, it would push videos to the subscribers like yourself but the majority would never click on the video resulting in youtube essentially killing any chances of the video being suggested outside of search. It's a tough one to explain over a comment so i may make another update video in a week or two with analytics to explain. Long story short, i think your right but i think more factors are at play outside of a consistent audience. I'm going to keep uploading here and see what happens, will never know if i don't try :)

I found your channel just recently and ended up pretty much watching most nearly all of your vidoes. Subbed to your other channel to and watched alot of that. Whatever you do hope it works and hope you carry on both channels. Your content is great and your personality and humour behind it is fantastic.

There are lots of review channels out there. There are less channels doind retrospectives. If I want to see a review of gta 5 from back when it came out, it easy. But if I want to hear about gta 5 in (current year), less so. Also retrospectives can talk about influence, impact, legacy and stuff like that.

I am subbed to this channel but I don't remember seeing the video that you were making a new channel. I liked the Should you buy blank game reviews especially for games that are reasonable not that old. One advantage is that the games depending on when you saw the video are usually cheaper compared to when they were 1st released. Also because I liked the fresh eye review perspective or a reassessment of a game when the marketing hype has died down so the assessment could be at a more neutral level not designed to criticise looking back and saying old game is old compared to now " modern or present day games"

I have your very same problem (with a smaller channel, ofc). I make some decent video here and there with lots of views, but few stick because they got what they needed and have no reason to sub and keep watching. So I've been taking a short one month break to think it through and come out with a way for people to keep coming back. What I've realized is that people come back for more specialized or thematic things, so perhaps I could focus on a few games I'm skilled at and, also, instead of making the usual review, talk about specific game design bits of the games I play. That being said, I'm into checking reviews of random games, old or new, 'cause you never know if you'll find a cool gem, and your channel's been pretty helpful with that. I like the editing too, and in TheStickyMan you've been improving it as well. I also tend to binge reviews about a specific game when I'm thinking about buying it, so your videos came out often in those cases. One particular combo I like about a specific game is watching Mortismal Gaming for a more hardcore, 100% clear review, then SkillUp's for a more mainstream/casual view, then yours as the more relatable/normal gamer one. If the game's a saga, I like to sprinkle a review from a specialized player from that saga as well. I'm kinda rambling at this point but I think all this feedback might be useful haha.
But your reviews are of a really high quality and provide valuable insight.. I often check out your videos before buing older games.. i dont play that many games, and your reviews helps selecting those of higher quality and/or that suits my taste.. Planning on playing Wolfenstein new order tonight, based on your review from 2022.. Think that there's a rather large crowd of gamers with families and careers, that likes to do their research before spending a rare occasion playing a quality game ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really appreciate the nice comment Barron, essentially the problem was time, I’d have to play through a game that could be 10 20 40 hours long then film a fair review, then edit it, the market it and finally upload It’s alot of time and I’ll be honest it doesn’t pay well, I’ll still be making videos but just in my free time, got one coming out in fallout 4 soon Hope that clears it up a little
I came to this channel purely because I enjoy the Sticky Man content. If you decided to kill one channel and focus completely on the other, that would be fine. Easier to get all content to your dedicated fanbase. If you choose to keep making content for both, however, my suggestion would be to make both channels distinct, with very different content. Perhaps one could do lengthy deep dive scripted retrospectives, and the other could be more informal, discussion type videos for example? I don't know. I'm along for the ride, whatever you decide to do. Keep up the good work, mate 👍

I'd have posted your new sticky man videos on this channel and not bothered with the pain barrier of a new channel. Generally speaking, a new channel makes sense if the content is totally different. I don't think it would have been weird or counter productive to make sticky man style videos on here.
